unlabelledView post →I feel like I'm going to end up writing an overview of Karen Black because she's such a horror icon. She only doesn't get enough credit for it because not enough people have seen Burnt Offerings, Mirror Mirror, etc. Every time she pops up in a grimy horror flick, I'm like, ok! NOW we have a MOVIE!
unlabelledView post →Friendly reminder that the Snow White retelling "Mirror Mirror" used actual actors with dwarfism, and was also creative and different enough to justify its existence.
unlabelledView post →Finally found a decent copy of 1996's MIRROR, MIRROR. The internet, through its muck, still sometimes delivers. This is such an important film that is hardly ever in the conversation.
unlabelledView post →I stand by my original take on MIRROR MIRROR. This is what you get when you make a Muppet movie without any Muppets.

unlabelledView post →I just watched the newest Snow White movie just to see how bad it actually is and then I watched Mirror Mirror from 2012 right after it for comparison. It's not the greatest film but it's much better than Snow White. It's crazy that Disney could make such a tasteless movie.

unlabelledView post →Watched Mirror Mirror 2: Raven Dance (1994). The first one was a pleasant surprise when I watched it last year but this one is pretty dire. Mostly notable for being Mark Ruffalo’s first film role #filmsky 📽️ #horrorsky
unlabelledView post →Fucking, Mirror Mirror (1990) is such an underrated gem I don't even know many people who have actually seen it but I LOVE THIS MOVIE. A mirror demon grants an insecure goth girl her every wish. Karen Black, Yvonne DeCarlo and the protagonist played by the stunning Rainbow Harvest, all time fav! 🎥

unlabelledView post →ok. I'm watching Mirror Mirror b/c it's leaving Prime in 3 days and I love Tarsem Singh movies. Anyway, if you're going to watch a movie about megalomaniacal bullies ruling fiefdoms, why not make it one with amazing clothes and fanciful sets?
unlabelledView post →The Silent Scream (1979), Cellar Dweller (1988) and Mirror, Mirror (1990). My favourite film of De Carlo’s, though, will always be the irresistibly lurid 1956 melodrama Flame of the Islands, filmed in sizzling eye-popping Trucolor (the poor man’s Technicolor) 4/
unlabelledView post →Tom has seen Mirror Mirror, as well as every other original Star Trek episode & movie. I can assure you of that.
unlabelledView post →With the new owners, the next Star Trek movie/series will be “Let’s make Mirror Mirror and Patterns of Force be the entire overarching story” and rewrite the entire universe canon.
unlabelledView post →Ok I liked it. I don’t think it was bad but it might have been better served as a short series rather than trying to cram a lot of info into 1 movie. Was it great art? No. I find the Section 31 aspects an interesting take of the ST universe. I’m a fan of the Mirror Mirror universe in general.

It's so damn creepy and because of that, I always try to sit in the back row whenever I go to the theater. :-)
unlabelledView post →Sadly we're never going to see another film with Eiko Ishioka's unmistakable design flair - she died of pancreatic cancer a few months after finishing work on Tarsem's Mirror, Mirror. She didn't do a lot of movie work, but damn... she really did hit the target with every shot.

unlabelledView post →I also watched the first Puella Magi Madoka Magica movie, but tbh I kept stopping to read, so. now I'm going to watch Mirror, Mirror (1990), knowing pretty much nothing about it
unlabelledView post →Tarsem Singh is perhaps the fantasy director with the most weirdly beautiful aesthetic of all time, and Eiko Ishioka was one of the greatest costume designers. There's perhaps no more gorgeous fantasy movie than "The Fall," which they created together. I really need to see "Mirror, Mirror."
unlabelledView post →The story in the 1937 movie isn't very good! It was all about the spectacle of the amazing new animation capabilities. Nothing wrong with that at all, mind, but there was never enough "there" there for a direct remake. (Anyone who wants a live action version should watch Mirror Mirror anyway.)

unlabelledView post →The movie "Mirror Mirror" is a lost gem. Great retelling of Snow Whote with a great cast and some well placed humor.
unlabelledView post →at least "Mirror Mirror," which this new Snow White movie genuinely looks like a remake of, called itself something different to separate it from the traditional story

unlabelledView post →Oh YES. Ishioka’s Oscar nomination aside, a movie subsequently inexplicably neglected for its costume and production design. The Fall and The Cell are canon but Mirror Mirror is every bit their equal.

unlabelledView post →One of my framed posters is a (supposedly original) video store movie poster circa 1990-ish, Mirror Mirror, the horror film with Karen Black and Rainbow Harvest. Similarly, I have a framed poster from a theater, the backlit kind of poster (though I don’t have it set up for that), for Sisu.
unlabelledView post →Priest! Omg I’d forgotten about that movie. I need to see Mirror Mirror.
unlabelledView post →I heartily do not recommend Mark Ruffalo's debut film Mirror Mirror 2
unlabelledView post →This almost kinda feels like a made-for-TV movie in a way that I really vibe with. Mirror Mirror kinda has that same vibe. Something comforting about it. Even the awkward way they cut away from the kills sometimes.
unlabelledView post →If you like the movie you should read the Wicked series, as well as some of his other books. My favourites were Mirror, Mirror (Sleeping Beauty but the bad fairy is Lucretia Borgia) and Confessions of an Ugly Stepsister (about the tulip trade and art world in 17th c Netherlands) #booksky

Here's one: the 1986 AMAZING STORIES episode "Mirror, Mirror" starring Sam Waterston, Helen Shaver, and Tim Robbins and directed by Martin Scorsese. I was 12 when it aired and it *messed me up*.
unlabelledView post →#nowwatching “Mirror Mirror” (1990). Had never heard of this, but Grindhouse was running a sale on Dark Force dvds so I picked up a few, frankly expecting trash. Will it be better than the Amityville haunted mirror film? We’ll see. #filmsky 📽️
unlabelledView post →I watched 1990’s Mirror Mirror. This is the second demonic/possessed mirror movie I’ve watched this weekend. So that’s weird. This actually goes pretty hard for a demonic mirror movie but in the end it’s still a demonic mirror movie.
