unlabelledView post →This was a plot point in Contagion, a film from back in 2011 when we all took for granted that a government official secretly protecting his family from danger while lying to the public about it was a scandal.
unlabelledView post →One of the thing I loved about the movie Contagion was that it contrasted government/academic scientists/doctors (good) with a wellness industry grifter (bad) and I think we need a lot more of that in pop culture
unlabelledView post →In the same way that the covid pandemic sparked interest in the movie Contagion, what’s happening in the reflecting pool could reinvigorate the discourse around the Mickey Rooney/Buddy Hackett opus, Everything’s Ducky.

unlabelledView post →The film 'Contagion' was fairly influential on me in deciding to study biomed.
unlabelledView post →I think Contagion will be understood more as a fantasy movie with an involved, competent government and a public that wants the vaccine so badly they're willing to get violent over it.
unlabelledView post →We don’t want her to end up like the guy on the Minneapolis bus in the movie CONTAGION
unlabelledView post →Movies vs RL New movie called #2073 : Oddly this movie has drones in it as one of the tragic “events” ( 🤔💭 2024 Current drones = distraction & fear mongering ) #Contagion is an old movie that sums up 2020 & how it was handled What movie reflects what the next 4 years will look like? 🍅
unlabelledView post →Yeah, Contagion is sci-fi, because in the movie, they actually try to prevent transmission, work on a neutralizing vaccine and only waited until everyone is immunized to reopen society.
unlabelledView post →My favorite Paltrow movie is Contagion.
unlabelledView post →I just cannot get over this and I never will... a Steven Soderbergh STAR WARS movie written by Scott Z. Burns (THE BOURNE ULTIMATUM, THE INFORMANT, CONTAGION, SIDE EFFECTS) with Adam Driver called THE HUNT FOR BEN SOLO... and Bob Iger fuckin' passed on it. They need to do a live script reading...
unlabelledView post →This was the disease in the Soderbergh movie "Contagion" from 2011 ... which got a LOT right about deadly pandemics, including the rise of cynical conspiracy theorists making money off of false cures. It just didn't predict that they'd take total control of the United States.

unlabelledView post →Finally revisited CONTAGION and can’t think of a more Obama era movie that feels entirely anathema to our reality. In CONTAGION 2 Jude Law is the hero and none of the government characters even exist.

unlabelledView post →Who's ready for the non-fiction movie mashup of Contagion and Idiocracy?
unlabelledView post →Soderbergh's movie Contagion didn't think of the idea that the head of the US govt health services would be a fan of rotten whale juice, who is also a fan of measles killing children. Good luck. Vaccinate your kids before RFKJr declares vaccines illegal. No for serious. Vaccinate your kids.

unlabelledView post →Contagion was especially prescient, right down to a fake "cure" marketed to people for financial gain. The movie preceded Covid by only 7 years.
unlabelledView post →At some point I'm gonna be able to rewatch CONTAGION, a movie that along with OUTBREAK made a global pandemic my #1 worst fear, and it's either going to severely retraumatize me or I'm going to laugh so hard

Taut. Elegant. Just beautiful work by Soderbergh, Koepp, and the cast. What a flick! #BlackBag @focusfeatures.bsky.social
