positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Codename Cure was the first game I ever played on steam and holds a special place in my heart. Giving an honest review though I love this sequel too. The gunplay is decent but I could see how some people could dislike the graphics although I think it has its own charm. For a FREE game under 12 GB in 2026 there's nothing I could complain about. The hardest difficulty is challenging while not being overkill. I like the procedural level design and overall look of the levels. Overall just a nice…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Two people made it and that's fine. It has a bargain bin 2006-budget feel to it. 3 maps, 5 classes, limited customization, seamless multiplayer, free to play. Thanks for the game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Not bad for a free to play game made by two people. Fun combat, decent maps design, stuff to unlock and different classes. The graphics are not good though, mostly because of the bad lightning. Codename CURE II could become something really fun with more maps and new specials. Rating 7/10.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I'm actually crying tears of pure joy. I never expected a sequel to my absolute favourite game of all time: Codename cure. But it's here... and I'm weeping.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →-. Classic "aim for the head" type zombie horde game -. 2 shotguns and 1 LMG, is the muscle of the team -. A sniper with spicy grenade and PCC wielding support for the rest -. Sniper need some love, why would you bring a bolt gun to a massive swarm of flesh eating zombies? -. Dog zombies is basically dog zombies in the last stand series, but will jump on your face -. Keep in mind, the dev team consist only 2 chimpanzees fueled with autistic passion 100/10, mission completed with acceptable…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I really miss old simple zombie games, shoot, loot, shoot more, and its free.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game deserves more credit. It’s a free game receiving free content updates being developed by two people who just wanna make a game. It’s honestly the most enjoyable horde shooter I’ve played, both by myself and with friends. The game is simply go from point A to B while shooting zombies with enough customization for your characters and variety in mission structure, with even more updates to come. With Helldivers 2 always being in the state of “We’re so back” to “We’re so cooked” and the…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Gameplay wise, codename cure 2 is 100% better than the first game but it currently suffers from a massive lack of content. I’m recommending it anyway because I want to give the game visibility and see its full potential. (Will be changed to negative if not ofc). Gamemodes I suggest to implement: 1) PvP. 2) Survival, wave and time based (2 of them). 3) L4D2 / Nmrih type of gamemode where you fight to an extraction point, hold the line and escape (with the Disciple filling the Tank role…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Went in with 4 of my best men... came out alone... nothing we could do against the hordes.. they didn't ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ train us for this kind of thing!!!.. just another mission they said...NOTHING WE HAVENT DONE BEFORE THEY SAID ...yeah well... tell that to the men who never came home. PLAY AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →fun easy going zombie game with the homies. Nothing special, but hell its free. first thing i did was make my dudes look like HUNK.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game was amazing you could have a good time with friends, the dev should add more zombie types that are scarier and stronger and more stealth and that would make the game 10x better.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Codename Cure II is a nice Free 2 Play zombie co-op game. PROS: - Guns feel good and meaty. - Maps feel very old school, like something from the late 90s and early 2000s. - Simple, but fun and chaotic gameplay. - GOOD PHYSICS! Feels like a Source Engine game. - Sound is ok. - Seems mostly crash/bug free, although I did crash one time while loading a level. CONS: - The maps can feel a bit repetitive after about a dozen matches, despite their proc gen nature. - Can be annoying to get…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →great game lots of weapons and fun gameplay with updates regularly :)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I'm biased a bit as I've contributed to this game. But besides being a contributor. I genuinely think this game is fun and I play it myself a lot. Heavily replayable maps with a simple yet challenging gameplay loop keeps me hooked. It's a good time killer completely for free and runs fairly good too. I highly recommend it if you're a fan of just being able to jump in and play something that'll keep you focused and have some good replay value.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →They couldve easily charged $10 for this game but they gave it to us for free and its actually a pretty fun PvE team shooter. Gotta give it a thumbs up!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Just not a good way to end every level, a timer thats just barely too short + constant enemy spawns in front of the objective is just very lazy tbh. Losing because of speed rather than the horde and the zombies being a joke the entire level until they decide to throw hundreds at you to slow you down just isnt enjoyable.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I don't know why they did this, but moving from Source to Unity made the second game feel a lot worse than the first game. The optimization is horrible, the controls feel janky, the weapons are mid. there is no reason to play this game, literally every aspect of this game is done better in any game in the same genre
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It’s basically a slightly more serious and considerably jankier Left 4 Dead, but with a Back 4 Blood-style lobby and progression system. It’s also very similar to the first game in terms of its core gameplay. You join a lobby, choose one of five classes, select your loadout and customise your soldier before heading out on various objective-based missions. During these missions, you collect scrap that can be used to unlock better weapons, attachments and cosmetics. It has that distinctive…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is so an after work game, and i think it knows that. Grab a beer, join a lobby and get to work, combat is nice and fights can collapse very quickly.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →For a free game this is absolutely fine. Ngl. I have seen way worse games. What you can expect: 1. Rather dated graphics but still not an insult to the eyes. Basically close to Left 4 Dead 2 2. Short maps with 2 modes you can play (Bombextraction / Survival) 3. Rather stupid type of zombies but a good variaty between slow, fast and tanky zombies plus a few specials 4. Levels that are rather quickly pieced together where almost every room or open space on a map looks the…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Codename CURE TWO (II) is awesome and a complete improvement over the first game, many of my issues namely the insane recoil and spread when not aiming down sights is fixed, also the slowdown when low on health seems to have been heavily reduced, which is also great! I hope for more weapons and customization, additionally, workshop support would be incredible, but is unlikely because this game is no longer on the source engine , I would appreciate detailed weapon stat comparisons as right now…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Can see a lot of work went into this, but the game play is less smooth than the original. If you have vision issues, the lighting can be harsh, which detracts from game play, as well. Anatomy seems more accurate for the dead than for the player characters. Still, it is progressing, so hopefully that is addressed soon.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →codename cure 1 had better zombie models....that game came out 9 years ago
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is so much better than KF3 xd Teammates actually synergise together rather than go "Look at me Im Tony Hawk!" This plays a bit like KF1 mod with campaign that was pulled out of L4D and NMRiH games with the objectives and holding of waves of zeds Pure simple team game with each character doing their role as part of team. Great customization options to how you wanna look that you unlock by using ingame credits you got from passing missions rather than swiping credit card. A bunch of…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It feels and looks terrible. It's way worse than the original game. I don't know what you all see in it. Simply ridiculous.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A good solid 5 person co-op shooter in the style of left4dead. Competent friendly AI that use and manage their abilities effectively. Gun customisation is a bit basic but it's there, alongside plenty of cosmetics. And as a F2P with an optional support pack with no additional mtx bs? Absolutely recommended.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Its not bad but it has a real lack of content. 3 primary weapons per class, 2 pistols and a handful of classes, I doubt there will be much staying power unless there is alot of content on the way tbh. Graphics are pretty middling very unreal glossy plasticy where every person looks like they were born and raised in the uncanny valley. But its free so you cant ♥♥♥♥♥ really.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →boring ass game, graphics are terrible and difficulty is not that hard, overall 3/10
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →quick fun rounds that have tight, cooperative moments and chaotic extractions that really get your heart pumping. has that old half life mod charm
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Really scuffed game, I don't know why it has so many positive reviews. Feels really unpolished, models look bad, animations are janky. The first game was better on source engine. I don't know why they changed it.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →For a free to play game like this made by 2 dudes, genuinely it's some good fun. Scratches that itch for me of something that kinda does a combo of Helldivers 2 difficulty and random missions along with Left 4 Dead of the structure and relying on teammates, though currently relying on rando teammates is bout the same as the reliability of randos in Helldivers 2 lmao You will fail a lot in this, you definitely won't be making it to extract most of the time, but if you're like me and pain is…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Played the first one and it was great, played this and it's still good. Wouldn't mind more DLCs to support the devs.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Honestly, Not even bad at all. I see some amazing promise in this for the long run. Honestly nice to play something close to what L4D is and was. I'll be sure to get some games in i suppose and enjoy what we got now and could from now on. Great work having everything basics wise and even a tutorial. For a 2 man army you guys have done a great job.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →for some reason Day/Dawn missions put a filter on your screen that makes the whole game white and red in the most ugly way possible. also escape timers are too strict even on casual difficulty.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →played the game on lowest graphics with a controller and felt like i was playing an xbox 360 game, this is peak gaming
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A surprisingly fun old-school zombie shooter. It's very reminiscent of Counter Strike/GMOD zombie servers in terms of gameplay but also jankiness. It definitely feels like a passion project game, which is okay. Don't expect mindblowing graphics or a very polished experience. It's a free game made by a small team. You play as a total of 5 different classes on ~10 minute long levels with the goal to get to the end without being eaten alive. You can't die, you can only be downed. Multiple…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →7/24/2026 Game just came out, there's a few guns, it's free to play, the shotguns feel lackluster. Each pellet should do a minimum damage and spread could be increased, feels like I really gotta get in close with a vanilla mossberg to kill 1 zed, didnt remember difficulty but it didnt feel good. Game feels a little clunky, Most of the guns besides the sniper/DMR need a slight damage buff. The sniper/DMR feels good enough, feels like I'm using the rifles in L4D, has punch through/penetration,…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Hani nasıl bu leş gibi olabilir oyunun hiç bir kuratır yanı yok map leş gibi hadi bunu düzeltin, ulan grafikler korku oyunu değil fortnite ile bf arası bir renk paletinde kardeşim olur mu böyle, hayır yazsam yazarımda gerek yok 1. oyunu eli yüzü tutuyordu bunu nasıl böyle kötü yaptınız
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game is pretty fun with friends. Knock off World War Z in a good way.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I was thinking this was in early access (or alpha) so originally I was thinking "they have a good concept here I cant wait to see them build off of it" come to find out this is 1.0 release... Yeah no, this does not feel like a finished game whatsoever..
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →the game is good but escaping even in average feels impossible
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Simple classic zombie co-op game. Nothing wrong with it at all. Fully functional, and no bugs. Good to play with friends.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I really like the game, it's fun. Played the first one back in the day when it released, felt nostalgic asf. Obviously not that much Content here. Only 5 classes, 3 main weapons per class, some locked behind DLC and also 3 pistols to choose from, 1 being locked behind DLC as well. Customisation is also nice, obviously there's still stuff hidden behind DLC there as well, but that's fine. Honestly for a free 2 play game, this is more than I could ask for already, especially since for typical F2P…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I was expecting the same fast-paced co-op experience I had with the first game with a few modern improvements and that's exactly what I got. A lot of fun with a full lobby, I can't wait to see what comes in future updates!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →i wanted to like it but needs on a different engine. was more cartoony and somehow made it more ugly than the first game.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →You take too long on the bomb sequence, which is presumably the last part of the tutorial, they force you to redo the entire tutorial. No, I'll go do something that's fun instead.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Feesh n buds try a new zombini crushing game?? | Codename Cure II w/ @duerag95 and @skobstonepaw ! www.twitch.tv/ghould_fish #vtuber #vtuberen #envtuber #feeshfeedlive #indiegame #collab
unlabelledView post →As the sequel to a somewhat niche Source mod, CN:C II is a very simplistic, straightforward A-to-B Run'n'Gun zombie shooter. In in its current state, it's not the most polished or refined, but it is a nice, nostalgic way to kill a little time. And the graphics, even if a bit crude to some, are rather cooperative with lower end devices.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Cool ideas bad level design and what's up with the trans character? grosss
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game feels boring, when you are being somewhat skill in L4D2. I'd increase amount of zombies and make them more aggressive, but they are too easy to kill, especially if you land headshots.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Played it. Peak cinema, not even kidding. Any new features? Yes. Enter... scrap metal. In Codename Cure II, you can upgrade your weapons and classes with scrap metal. Second, the game has similar mechanics to Left 4 Dead 2 (i.e fill a generator in order to proceed in the game and such)
unlabelledView post →Free left 4 dead! And it has a lot of potentials. Keep it up Devs!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I don't wanna trash on it because it is indie, but its one of the most mediocre games I have ever played, I recommend it to try it out because its free but I'm not gonna be like Paul revere and shout it out everywhere, its really not that good.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I'm genuinely impressed by how polished the gunplay feels. Overall a big step up from the first game, it feels really satisfying. I havent played much yet but what I have seen already is pretty good, except one thing. I instantly jumped into the new survival mode and, while pretty cool, I was disappointed that the random weapon and roundly heal system at a random loot crate has been completely removed by the new loadout system. That was always my favourite part about this mode. I would like…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →is there a canonical reason for this game simulating a nuclear core meltdown with my GPU? The resources hog feels like the biggest reason not to play the game right now. The game needs more work, because in some aspects it's more clunky than the original. Objects pop into view even on the highest render distance, I've found myself constantly tweaking gamma levels depending on what map. Personally, the more open maps are not as fun as the close quarter ones, so tightening those could help.…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →both the original and the sequel are underrated af
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Complete downgrade from the original, shouldve stayed with the source engine.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Incredible disappointment. Models are awful, sounds are awful, maps are terrible, gameplay is worse than the first game. It's an absolute trash and it shouldn't have existed. What a shame.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's the best free to play zombie game ever, try it yourself
