neutral · AI labelView post →Congrats on doing this joke with "Future Cops" and not the Street Fighter bit from Jackie Chan's "City Hunter" movie like a pleb would do.
neutral · AI labelView post →On this day (20th March) in 1993, the Scala Cinema was hosting the Film Extremes 3 Festival which featured City Hunter (1993), The Last Blood (1991), Gorotica (1993), Bad Karma (1991), Drill Bit (1992) and Jesus Hates You (1992) along with special guests and all sorts of fun.
neutral · AI labelView post →Happy birthday, Ryo Saeba! Here he is in his birthday suit from the 2019 film, City Hunter: Shinjuku Private Eyes!
neutral · AI labelView post →Watched the City Hunter movie with my wife. Said I was surprised that the extremely horny main character seemed to be popular with women. Wife: Why’s that weird? Me: In most anime, the horny main character is repulsive to women. Wife: Oh, not Ryo-chan. Ryo-chan FUCKS. Me: … Wife: He FUCKS
positive · AI labelView post →Omg just discovered this stream and they are currently playing a film called "City Hunter" which I've always wanted to see and IT'S SUBS NOT DUBS!!!!!!

neutral · AI labelView post →They were showing the *City Hunter* animated movie on TV a little while ago. And during the ending credits, they played a song I used to love. My head is filled with that song right now. It’s from 1988. youtu.be/QYMP3JTE-Qg?...
neutral · AI labelView post →Fans of old-school anime rejoiced! City Hunter was recently faithfully adapted into a Japanese live-action film, and it is a joy to watch. With badass Gun-Fu, charming characters, and a romantic retro-modern setting, the film oozes personality. Let me explain: youtu.be/pSB7LfSIk4k
neutral · AI labelView post →The Jackie Chan City Hunter movie is fun, you guys are just mean
positive · AI labelView post →There's a City Hunter movie on TV. This is like Urusei Yatsura if Ataru locked in and had a gun
neutral · AI labelView post →[CN] "City Hunter" Netflix LA movie adaptation adds Ando Masanobu and Kimura Fumino to its main cast. The movie will be out worldwide on April 25th. Suzuki Ryohei and Morita Misato were revealed as main cast over a year ago. #鈴木亮平 #森田望智 #安藤政信 #木村文乃
neutral · AI labelView post →The "City Hunter" from PREDATOR 2! The Movie was a huge, huge part of my childhood/friend group, it's my favorite Yautja by default. It's a badass, grim-and-gritty design that's perfect for the environment it was surrounded by.
neutral · AI labelView post →For a movie in which Jackie Chan dresses up as both E. Honda *and* Chun-Li and does their most famous moves, it should not be possible that 1993's City Hunter is as dogshit as it is. A roundly unfunny, deeply boring film that truly only the French could love.
negative · AI labelView post →The moment I knew the Netflix City Hunter live action film was legit was when they revealed the trailer with the modern remix of Get Wild as the theme. :V
neutral · AI labelView post →Another round of City Hunter, this time watching Series 3 and one of it's films. At first I thought Series 3 was lacking in terms of its pacing and story telling, but it definitely made up for it in the last 4 episodes. The film too was also great fun. Lots of good action and of corse comedy.
positive · AI labelView post →I'm going to have to sculpt the City Hunter helmet to match the movie a bit more. The top of the helmet definitely needs to go wider. The mouth area should be resized just a bit.
neutral · AI labelView post →#Watched CITY HUNTER - Episode 19: "A Beach to Remember: An Audition Full of Danger" (思い出の渚 オーディションは危険がいっぱい, 1987, Mihiro Yamaguchi)... Ryō protects a threatened movie production. #OTD #シティーハンター #アニメ #Anime
neutral · AI labelView post →So far my favorite adaptation of Street Fighter is Street Fighter 2 V. They took liberties with some of the designs but I feel like it got the most right. 2nd being that one fight in Jackie Chan’s City Hunter movie.
neutral · AI labelView post →Somehow this became City Hunter weekend. (We're going to watch the Jackie Chan film presently.)
neutral · AI labelView post →It's the best City Hunter movie I've ever seen so far, its as simple as that CAN'T HUMBLE THE MUMBLE BABY
positive · AI labelView post →Those City Hunter sets have become awfully scarce, so I snagged those ('91 & the OVA/movie set). Now I just need series 3. Was hoping to see copies of Shaider pop up since I'm watching Gavan now, and I have Sharivan, and Shaider's gotten impossible to find -- maybe next time?
neutral · AI labelView post →Thanks to @icarianarts.bsky.social, I found out about the film Nicky Larson (a French live-action adaptation of City Hunter) and downloaded it. Oh my, I’ve been laughing for 10 minutes now. It’s so funny and sweet 🤣
positive · AI labelView post →I'd forgotten about these scene! It's honestly pretty funny. The City Hunter movie is kinda weird if you're a fan of the anime, but it's an enjoyable enough movie on its own if you just go with its wacky shenanigans!
neutral · AI labelView post →Seriously, it's like the movie makers looked at that parody scene in Jackie Chan's City Hunter and that Power Rangers crossover, showing that a live action Street Fighter that embraces the colorful and cheesiness of Street Fighter can work and it's looking more promising. Ugh... Paramount though!
neutral · AI labelView post →[NR] "City Hunter" gets sequel movie in 2027. It'll be available worldwide through Netflix. Suzuki Ryohei leads alongside Morita Misato, and Kimura Fumino, who will all reprise their roles for the new installment. #鈴木亮平 #森田望智 #木村文乃
neutral · AI labelView post →rewatching the live action City Hunter movie because I don't see Jackie Chan in my nightmares enough already

neutral · AI labelView post →Tonight me and Kirsty saw the last animated City Hunter film and wow. This is probably the darkest 3rd acts the series has ever taken. The plot had a very strong vibe about it, with the addition of the traditional City Hunter tropes. But man, were the action scenes well paced. For a film that...1/2)
positive · AI labelView post →It's wild there is no love action announced yet. Manga broke selling records, movies broke records twice! But i want a Netflix movie by Japan like City Hunter or Bleach... Or a show, Shogun did well SO we can have a all asian cast show from the west.
neutral · AI labelView post →My viewings of City Hunter continues with the watching of the first film, .357 Magnum. Once more the story plot was brilliant and the characters were also fun to watch. The animation was also impressive while sticking to the TV style, but had some really impressive moments. Next stop - Series 3!
positive · AI labelView post →Me never actually watched anything of City Hunter besides that Bad Jackie Chan movie.... Also me hearing Get Wild once
neutral · AI labelView post →The weebs were shitting themselves over the main character in the new City Hunter movie not being a pervert like in the anime. I’m like a minute and a half into the new one and…yeah, he’s still a giant perv. You shit yourselves in public for nothing, weebs
positive · AI labelView post →Between this and City Hunter '93, now we're getting a live action Street Fighter movie that pulls off the game's aesthetics.
neutral · AI labelView post →this is how you do a modern City Hunter movie that isn't Nicky Larson, easily the best City Hunter movie ever and easily my new fav MOKKORI FOREVER
positive · AI labelView post →City Hunter (2024) - Yuichi Satoh, Tatsuro Mishima, Tsukasa Hojo, HoriPro, Netflix BEST CITY HUNTER MOVIE EVER ITS PEAK ITS PEAK HUNTER
positive · AI labelView post →I swear if the next City Hunter anime movie bluray is limited to the CR store I’m gonna fucking import the second anime movie at this rate just to have a hard copy unless I leech off a more disposable income than me otaku buddy to act as a middleman for the US copy if it’s there or just amazon it…
neutral · AI labelView post →Oh yeah! He's all over Joey Wong in that film. Honestly I think people don't like it cause it's extremely annoying. I'm a Wong Jing fan and even I'm not going to defend City Hunter. Even if it has a Michael Wong cameo, that film is kind of indefensible lol. Maybe I should give it another shot...
negative · AI labelView post →It is the Jackie Chan romantic comedy. It's very much a romance. I think City Hunter is probably his most horniest film, which might be one of the main reason people don't like that film.
neutral · AI labelView post →In a surprise curveball the LGS is playing the Jackie Chan City Hunter film on this fine Saturday
neutral · AI labelView post →I do like the gimmick of “preternaturally high accuracy” , The netflix City Hunter movie had really good fight scenes with the main character ricocheting bullets
positive · AI labelView post →Oh, right. I happen to have these which I got from my birthday 2 years ago. It's a keychain of both Umibozu & Miki from City Hunter. It's from a gacha that promotes "City Hunter the Movie: Angel Dust". #cityhunter #シティーハンター #Umibozu #Miki @ganglosaxon.bsky.social
neutral · AI labelView post →Just finished "City Hunter The Movie: Angel Dust". Love that they're tackling Ryo Saeba's mysterious past & slowly about to go on the finale of the series. I hope they'll make a new anime or movie to finish Saeba-san's story. #cityhunter #シティーハンター #RyoSaeba 8.2/10
positive · AI labelView post →I have the fondest feelings for the City Hunter, but I tend to be wary of live-action adaptations. However, I’ve also read about the film - and the French adaptation of the anime, with its censorship and absurdities - and how the director decided to play on all that to create a ‘love letter’ to the
neutral · AI labelView post →I've watched most of Jackie Chan's films. I have never watched City Hunter until tonight. This movie is Looney Toons.
neutral · AI labelView post →Favorite Yautja lineup: City Hunter, Jungle Hunter, Scar and Wolf in order. Wolf would be higher up if his movie was more fun to watch I'm comitted to skipping Predators and The Predator so omorrow I watch Prey, Killer of Killers and Badlands if I have the time for all three 👀
neutral · AI labelView post →Anime Boston 2019: I saw City Hunter: Shinjuku Private Eyes with @burningrescue.bsky.social. And pretty much the entire runtime of the movie the crowd was laughing and cheering and animated. The producer and director were in attendance and said it was the best audience reaction they’d ever had. 😭😭
neutral · AI labelView post →A friend got me into City Hunter because it was a manga based on the Jackie Chan movie. It wasn't until like five years ago that it occurred to me it was the other way around
neutral · AI labelView post →THIS WEEK on movie perverts club for @deephelldotcom.bsky.social you can WATCH CITY HUNTER and PIXELS and you can WIN a free copy of the indie darling BABY STEPS @babystepsgame.bsky.social and the code is ALWAYS ON THE FLIER!!
neutral · AI labelView post →While i think My hero academia could totally be adapted by Netflix, it's the most western anime right now. Demon Slayer is a japanese period piece with fantasy routed un japanese myths, religion... If they gonna do it, better do it like the YuYu Hakusho show or City Hunter movie
neutral · AI labelView post →My goodness!! Finished watching City Hunter 3, it was so suspenseful in the finale. Then watched their second film, I couldn't stop laughing!
positive · AI labelView post →Just watched City Hunter: Angel Dust. It was pretty good, but the quality of this release is a bit lacking. There is no dub like the previous film, and the subs don't flow so easily, with dialog feeling stilted and a few typos as well. Mokkori being translated as peach is weird.
neutral · AI labelView post →Oh boy... #NowPlaying on the marathon is the insane "City Hunter." The movie that imagines "what if a video game, an anime, and an HK action movie somehow got together and had a baby?" It's a wild ride.
positive · AI labelView post →Not the best City Hunter film by a long way, but the best Street Fighter.
neutral · AI labelView post →@discardedimp.bsky.social (OOC: We have Ryo Saeba from “City Hunter” as my next pick. If you’re unfamiliar with his series, there’s a modern live action film that’s on Netflix.)
neutral · AI labelView post →Tonight's film: City Hunter (2024). Dir. Yuichi Sato #nowwatching
neutral · AI labelView post →Now that it's been about 5-6 months since the Japanese Blu-Ray came out for that new City Hunter movie, I'm hoping that the next time Discotek does one of their licensing announcement streams it includes that in there. It's fine if we don't have Lupin vs Cat's Eye yet. This is the TRUE new Cat's Eye
neutral · AI labelView post →Watching the City Hunter film. The new one, not the Jackie Chan one. This is loads of fun. Also, Escape from Go-Busters is in it.
