60 of 113 · most liked firstCurrently it's a fun skeleton of a game. So this is not a "Do not buy" but a "Promising, but unless you really love Circle Empires, probably worth to keep an eye on it". The unit editor is a fantastic addition that opens up a massive amount of possibilities for new additions, certainly a framework that seems promising. For now however, there is most certainly a severe limit in units, weapons and armor. Even not being able to make any gimmick units with fun traits is a bit of a shame. And…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I was waiting for this game for more than a year and i was so excited to buy it but it felt like a rug pull of the entire franchise. they hyped us for 2 years but the content was extremely lackluster, as if they fired out the developer of the original game and hired a less competent one. its an extremely huge letdown as they already have the blueprints of the original game. i cant even level up my troops properly the experience level is fixed to 2 exp per hit, so little troops to choose. only 2…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Expected alot more for the price after having played the previous versions... This mode lags soo bad on THEIR SERVERS when playing Co-op. It starts out fine, but once you have a big army, the game constantly pauses and buffers like it cant handle the many calculations needed. Very disappointing for what has been released thus far. As the other reviews state, Play Rivals and you have many more factions to choose from...
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Honestly, yes, it’s fun, and it’s a good Circle Empires 2. The visuals are nice, but somehow it feels unfinished and it's not better as Circle Empires 1 or Circle Empires Rivals... Where do I start? Here are a few examples: There’s less than half the content compared to Circle Empires: Rivals. Significantly fewer generals, biomes, races, and factions. The generals all play almost the same, because the editor lets you generate a wide variety of units, which ends up making them feel very…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →First of all, good job devs! I've been playing circle empires since the first game and i can say that the new mechanics and ideas in this one really stand out and are fun to play around with. it keeps the most fun parts of the first game and rivals and adds on to them with the character creation and some quality of life mechanics. no real complaints and I'm looking forward to future updates! Secondly, I saw someone else talk about how they think CE2 is lacking in content compared to Rivals…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →a very dissapointing sequel, the does not feel or play like circle empires 1 or rivals. the idea of customizable units with an increased degree of versatility and change, just falls flat and feels unnecessary, pointless and half baked. the sense of achievment, enjoyment in both single player and co-op is gone and is replaced with what feel like a task with no reward on the other side. i cannot in good faith reccomend this game over circle empires rivals.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's a good game don't get me wrong. It's just a general downgrade from It's predecessors. There's very few leaders, the creativity and amount of premade units has been reduced by a lot in favor of the unit creators with which you can make such busted units that the few premade ones are basically useless. If you want to play a Circle Empires 2, play Circle Empires Rivals. It has the same amount of interesting and unique units as the first game with multiplayer options, more gamemodes etc.…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I really enjoyed the first game. This one is a great price for so much game in there. Designing you own units, getting more choices how you build your bases, multiple game modes, multiplayer built in, you can choose what person can ride big units like dragons. very fun, and has some stuff to unlock which gives you a way to explore all the new units. Cheers!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I love Circle Empires! And Circle Empires 2 could be great - if it wouldn't be so empty. It feels like an early access with barely any content (and less then the ones before). So in my opinion it should have been released as an early access. Nearly no difference exept the unit builder. Nothing else feels new It has solid grounds and can get a GREAT game with some more polishing.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Full release game hidden as early access game. very Few lords and gamemodes compared to rivals.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Neat game! Very reminiscent of CE1 with all the good parts and a little more added on top. Haven't tried out the multiplayer yet because I'm not sure if being that sweaty is for me anymore, but it's been nice so far.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The gameplay just isnt as fun as as the original rivals. Not as many play style options, also out of the fewer leaders and less diverse leaders you can pick you then can create brand new units types to make up for it weakness. Not as much scaling options for late game power fun, new defensive towers are weird, healers pathing is stupid they constantly run to the front to die, actually general pathing is weird have to super micromanage your armies pathing, Overall their (few) new ideas…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very nice game. More gameplay aspects and unique variations of troops than other games !
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Honestly the game is cool i played the og one and rivals but to be honest it lacks units. it feels like it needs atleast 2 to 3 times the units it has. i can see why people are hating on it and honestly i respect the hate its just that while i apreciate and think its cool and fun and looks so much better it just feels so bad that it feels like there really is only a handful of units im not going to refund it because i have faith but mann was i close to give a thumbs down Edit 1. after playing…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Better to buy rivals, it's more like demo, lacks tons of content from previous games
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Its a good game, but if youre a fan on the servies you'll quickly notice it has half the content Rivals did. Im having fun with it, but it feels different.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Same fun formula as the first game with more polish. I like that they kept the monster hunter as the core part of single player. Unit editor is a really cool feature that has a lot of potential if/when they add more units and mechanics.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I'm sadly kind of dissapointed. The first one had more variety and felt more challenging, whereas a lot of this feels... empty. There's not a lot of difference in units or strategy. I think I'll go back to CE1. However, I'll be back if they flesh it out a bit more!
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →just play circle empires rivals
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Update: I have a sneaking feeling that they ready my review and then updated the game to fix my few complaints. The latest update has dramatically improved the game with more buildings, shops, mercenary camps, etc. You can hire max level mercenaries from merc camps, and now there is a mount that makes leveling a certain character easier. I am very impressed and pleased with the most recent changes and I am very excited to see what else they come up with. Overall, I think its an improvement…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game genuinely ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ sucks
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Patiently waiting for Square Empires.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Killed an empire with 500 frog men 10/10
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is my first Circle Empires 2 game ever so take this review with a grain of a salt if you're a veteran of the series. I like this game a lot. It itches that RTS itch I get every now and then without it being a huge time commitment. It's a bit too simple in some of its mechanisms but that's part of the strength of the game as well. Wish there was more gamemodes though. The game released super well though. No bugs in the first few games I played solo. It's also a super good game to play with…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It is going to be a great game to play with someone. Play the game build up and relax. price is good too!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Unfair reviews, looking good there
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I don't know why this is so badly rated. The game is quite enjoyable. I definitely recommend!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →i feel like this is circle empire 1 and ive already bought and played 2 this game is awful compared to the first game i feels like a 90s flash game dont buy this game get circle empires 1 and you will have more fun plus its cheap this game is just a few steps backward
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I enjoyed the game very much, was a lot of fun and went through every difficulty. That being said, I think the difficulty mechanics should be done differently. Right now it's literally based on a pre-setup with higher end units, instead of the computer opponents having their difficulty dependent on their gameplay. For example Easy mode would be the computer gathering and building slowly, then increasing its speed and difficulty over each difficulty type. If I wasn't in co-op with a…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game is fun as always. I'm a little disappointed in the limited number of factions to pick from. I feel like there used to be way more. Also no steam cloud is crazy. If I had noticed that sooner I would have returned the game and waited until they put it in. It does seem to handle big armies much better then before. Edit: The steam cloud has been fixed.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great RTS. Fun and addicting gameplay. Nice music soundtrack. UI should be improved to show unit pop I’m looking forward to seeing CE2 grow and improve. I highly recommend
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun. Addicting.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Loved the previous CE games, and this one is amazing too. Super engaging, great atmosphere, and awesome music. Highly recommended!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Quite a good experience, simple but fun. The game is very re-playable and has a good core loop, better with friends too.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Kinda fun, fast paced well worth the price tag.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →pretty fun if you like rts games but want something a little less heavy on the strategy aspect. farm some mats make some units take a circle, wash rinse repeat, build your own units along the way with the parts of units from other factions youve won matches with
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A great fast paced RTS with some roguelite elements that improves on the original. There are 24 leaders now, more grids arrangements to fight now, way more units to use, you can make your own units based on what the Leader you are using, and other things I am probably forgetting. Has a demo, so give it a try if you curious and/or interested.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Its only gotten better and better. I probably like the look and feel of the first one more but it's undeniable that this one is chock full of content compared to the first and most of the characters offer a completely unique playstyle that keeps you coming back.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Really fun RTS to play with friends as well, don't listen to the negative reviews they're a bunch of people from the old game that don't realize this one is better for coop or pvp Update: Great updates by dev
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Love it, keep it up!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game is good, and is receiving free updates including more "leaders" and "factions" so, idk why people are ripping into this game so hard but I honestly have no clue why they're doing that... This game is very solid so far, thank you devs for continuing support!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great game and gets better with every update
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you're a fan of RTS, get this game!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Just get Circle Empires Rivals, its a much better game. This one is missing so much... pros: i like the mounting system, but tedius to click animations are good, terraforming is nice cons: The Hard modes are so easy, no free placement of buildings, the build limit is low wall get full life if upgraded even then they had like 1 hp, troops crawl then hit - yes cataputls crawl too, no troop variety - there is a trrop builder but it´s not good, where a the different defence buildings, like the…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Even better than the first, definitely worth playing just to give it a try and see if you like it, plus they also ask for feedback :)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A delightful little RTS, full of custom bite-sized packages of chaos and strategy. An excellent successor to the original.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Graphics are decent. Game lacks content. I regret buying it.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Like the added features of custom units. Good job!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Amazing and super addictive , hope you will add more unit bases in the future like orcs and dwarves
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game's decent for the price! If you're not into RTS games or wish to play with friends who are more into casual games or not familiar with RTS games, this is a good entry point. There's enough complexity here for an RTS player to enjoy small amounts of time with, and the game is casual player friendly enough for those who aren't real RTS players. They will learn. I just hope the dev adds more game modes and provide extensive modding tools that will allow for new custom units, modes, and…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Built a Dragon, Bandages, Boots of speed, Elf, laser, Armor, Bandages, Boots of speed, Shield unit that had 60k power. Overall pretty good game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very chill and enjoyable game
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Bit mobile-y but good mechanics, you can create any variety of units. Makes the game very three dimensional.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →good game, seems fun
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Yes https://youtu.be/89AeDukLTZg
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →the game is still basically as fun as the older games but i don't understand why they changed the artstyle, feels very unnecessary.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I've played the previous games and honestly don't understand why most of the negative comments are complaining. The new changes are obvious, and amazing. This game has a UNIT CUSTOMIZER.. how cool is that? The game and animations are a step above the last games and for that base price, it is a steal. So don't listen to those whiny people and give it a try. It is really an improvement and a lot of fun!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →People dog on this game, but to me? I think this game is sufficient as is to make it a recommendable game. I enjoyed the first, rivals and this one. The price point is fair as well. Not to mention more and more content will be added as the developers put more time into it- completely for free too. Happy for the release!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It got all the good good now!
