But on this day, at this time, a minor collision will turn two complete strangers into vicious adversaries. Their means of destroying each other might be different, but their goals, ultimately, will be the same: Each will systematically try to dismantle… From TMDB

It is very much a movie made for the political and cultural moment the country finds itself in right now.”

The film, which is about the fight for safe streets and so much more, is excellent and the panelists are all amazing. Free, but you must RSVP. See you there!

It does an amazing job of situating the recent struggle over the McGuinness Blvd *road diet* in Greenpoint within the history of making cities car dependent

Even though the film focused on NYC, there are many parallels found in Toronto too. We should have more of these screenings at city hall! #BikeTO #WalkTO #TOpoli

For three years, Ben Wolf documented the residents’ struggle against the auto lobby, corruption, and disinformation. "Changing Lanes" is his first documentary film.

It’s about the fight for protected bike lanes and traffic calming on a busy street in Brooklyn and the pushback from local idiots and businesses. Just like bike folks on the SW side are going through. They won, eventually!

It is amazing all that can happen from a simple car collision, but it is more of a privileged jerk effect than the Butterfly Effect. This whole movie is sort of a philosophical discussion of moral ambiguity with a secondary question of whether one side fuels the other. While I enjoy this do, don't show philosophical battle, the realism of the insanity that occurs in this movie is terrifying. The movie is as good as…

Strong performances are forthcoming from Sam Jackson and Toni Collette, everyone else is sort of stale. There's not a lot of movies out there like Changing Lanes, so it's a shame that it didn't end stronger. Final rating:★★½ - Had a lot that appealed to me, didn’t quite work as a whole.
