The originals Cannon Fodder's subtleness, humour, irony, attention to detail, the varying level design, music, the incredible attachment to the survivors you painfully took through 20 levels, and cried when they died. Gone. The thought and love. Gone. All covered in an inch of ketchup. Somewhere under that ketchup you can feel parts of the original meal…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I enjoyed the original Cannon Fodder for the Amiga. I had hoped that this would help me reclaim the feel of that classic game, but instead it's like someone took the basic concept of the original and then put a "2003" era spin on it. Things that bugged me about this game instead of having cool music, it's the most generic electric guitar riffs you could imagine the characters look like those "spittin image" puppets aforementioned puppets will run through a standard talking animation…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Having grown up with Cannon Fodder and Cannon Fodder 2 on the Amiga, I was a bit hesitant to buy this, bearing in mind the negative reviews about how "it wasn't good compared to the originals" However, my friend gifted me this for my birthday and I have had a fun time with it, it has elements of the original games in it (however, remember these games were for a different time and times move on and nostalgia gives everything a rose tint!) the control system is either dual click with the mouse…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →An awkward and ugly modern take on a fun old game. Somehow suffers from terrible load times on modern rigs. You're much better off tracking down the older versions.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Cannon Fodder 3, like the previous two games, is a fun war game romp through various levels of increasing difficulty. You start off with a certain amount of troops that will travel with you through level to level mindful if you can keep them alive that is. Either point and click, use WASD, or a gamepad to control your team. Fire weapons and throw grenades. Hop into various vehicles and engage with the various details in the background. Graphics are top down 3D, which is reminiscent of the…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Anyone who grew up in the 90's and had an Amiga will know how good the Cannon Fodder games were. If this applies to you then do yourself a favour and avoid this poorly realised cash in attempt. Honestly, you will regret it.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I spent a lot of time with Cannon Fodder 1 and 2 as a wee lad. The idea of playing the best parts of a military RTS without having to worry about a home base and resource management was right up my oh so narrow alley. So, naturally, when I saw Cannon Fodder 3 discounted during the Winter Sale, I scooped it. Despite a mouse/camera kink, it was exactly what I was looking for. To see what else I have to say, and to help decided for yourself whether or not you'd like to play, check out the…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I managed to get this for a dollar during a sale, and I regret even spending that much. The game is horribly optimized (un-ending loading screens, without progress bars to let you know how long you're going to sit and listen to the looping, faux-metal). Having played the original Cannon Fodder to death on an old 486 PC, I can barely believe the people that made this game have any clue what made the original so much fun. I poured hours into mastering the original's levels, so that I could…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If Cannon Fodder 3 had been released a decade ago, it would have become a cult hit. Now, it's a decent old-school arcade game. Prohibitive load times, I mean, c'mon...2+ minutes "loading" screen on an i7, SSD, 16 gb ram. Something is clearly wrong here. The game play is also perhaps a little to faithful to the originals, maybe some people will see that as a plus though. Disappointing, but at the end of the day it is what it is, a third Cannon Fodder game with terrible loading.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →get an emulator and play the originals
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I bought this game at a discount of over 90% and still feel ripped off. Save your money, go to GOG.COM and buy the original cannon fodder. This one inexplicably takes forever to load the next level and then control just feels too loose.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Not the classic, but fun anyway. :)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Playable but you have to tweak some game files to make loading faster otherwise it might take a few minutes which obviously doesn't sound good. Gameplay consist of getting your soldiers past enemy lines and it's not entirely bad like the reviews say. Throw grenades grab better weapons, destroy buildings and make some decent mayhem. If you like these type of games you will surely like Renegade Ops.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Direct your own little squad of troops and complete a series of campaigns with varying objectives. From securing a base, to acquiring a vehicle, you are in charge of your squad of soldiers in this top-down strategy game. I will admit I was surprised by just how much fun I had playing Cannon Fodder 3. Unlike games where you have to collect upgrades and survive waves, Cannon Fodder 3 allows you to travel around several different maps depending on the campaign you are playing, where you are given…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I have fond memories of Cannon Fodder 1 and to some extent, 2. However my memory of their near perfection isn't quite the reality and after revisiting them on GOG.com I was sad to find out that they have some glaring flaws some 30 years after the initial release. Not taking anything away from the original titles, I love them dearly, but they're harder to enjoy today. Cannon Fodder 3 (not from original team), also has its own flaws but as a package I actually found myself having a lot of fun.…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Got this game in a sale for mere pence, thinking it's surely worth that, right? Wrong. If you've got any nostalgia for the original at all, you will be disappointed with this. The low-rent intro sequence kicks things off and before you know it, you're awkardly shifting your troops around to an ill-concieved metal soundtrack while taking orders from a general who is clearly voiced by a British man sitting in a biscuit tin occasionally doing an American accent. When he's not talking, all you…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Please do not buy Cannon Fodder 3. Do not let nostalgia and a low price point con you into exchanging money for this fetid turd of a game. It is an embarrassment and a tragedy that such an awful game should even be released, let alone one intended to revive one of the greatest RTS series of the 90s. Spend your money more wisely - grab the original Cannon Fodder on GOG.com for $7, then spend the remaining $10 on chocolate milk and cookies.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's fun,as i played part. I, II twenty years ago ! Laptop users ! Be aware, the grphics core is very demanded
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →My hat is off to the graphics artist, he's the only one in this crew who was good enough to work on a new Cannon Fodder game. The game is very bad otherwise... Poor sound effects , poor voice acting, poor sound clips of voice acting, poor level design, they even ripped out the importence of the whole perma-death thing. I used to care if Jools died (really, when jools died he was the first recruit).
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Having played the originals on the Amiga I was very disappointed with this version. It felt like a cheap makeover to make some quick money.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →got a steam code from cjs cd-keys online, cost me £2.99 as was not prepared to go £14.99 on it. Have had hours of fun so far, well worth it. I was a great fan of the old Amiga Cannon Fodders, this takes some getting used to, but great little game. The first time i played it I got the 2+mins loading screens on an i7, but subsequent loading times have dropped to a few seconds. Give it a go!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Utter garbage. Having played Cannon Fodder on the Amiga all those years ago, I was very disappointed.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Technical issues and poor controls aren't all that stop this from being like the originals.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I have played the old ones, 1 and 2, and to be honest this is only a shadow compared to originals. Early 90s quality videos, huge time loadings, frames droping , awful music and crappy sounds. I wish this game was what I expected for a well known franchise like Cannon Fodder.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →yeah another great game
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →not as good as the originals but decent. Loading screen is a joke shouldn't be that long for the type of game this is. The music is really annoying. Controls are alright when it wants to swap weapons. would recommend if can get in a bundle cheap but other than that probably not worth it. find the originals imho
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game is slow slow to load you can't see most of the bad guys and it's nothing like Cannon Fodder 1 and 2.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Well, Its what you Expect from Cannon Fodder ... Its great, amusing game of war. As their motto is War has never been so much fun. But Beware.... Even as we are in 2014... Still the loading sequence between EACH LEVEL takes between 1-2 mins... Its STUPID LONG AND RIDICULOUS !!!
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A game that i remember fondly from the Amiga days, but plays like a dog on a modern PC with little to no settings
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It feels okay, but takes some time to get acquainted with controls. Verdict: A mild recommendation for fans of the original if on sale.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's a nice game. Doesn't take too long to load (dunno what crazy folks r talking about). Controls are fine and the gameplay is overall ok (played for about an hour). There are games far worse than this, trust me. Only thing that's strange is the price tag. IMO it should be about a quarter of that price. P.S. I got it from Bundle Stars for about 5% of the price :)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I don't even know why but this feels nothing like the past Cannon Fodder games.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →awsome+funyy and relaxing war game
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Controls are wonky, and got bored very quickly. Not even worth a quarter of the price. Avoid.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Really nice squad based game. Top view, real time action and a lot of explosions :)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is pretty terrible, which is depressing considering how much I loved the old games. Load times are long, especially considering my computer should have zero problem with this game. The controls feel bad. The camera controls badly as well. Graphics are bad. Skip this game. I'd have more fun playing the older games.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The play control is horrible. The camera is mapped to the mouse and whenever you move the mouse the camera follows, then it moves back to the unit on it's own. This makes me sick with the constant scrolling. Your natural instinct is to use the mouse to select things but you cannot, instead teh camera moves. I had to stop playing because the camera/mouse moving was making me sick. Which is a shame, i loved this game a sa kid, alas this new version is a major letdown.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I cannot recommend Cannon fodder3, If it were anything like cannon fodder 1-2 i would of loved it. what a shame.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a fun game that you don't need to think too much about. Yes, it's true that it takes an unbelievably long time to load between levels. It's no exaggeration to say there's ample time to make a cup of tea, boil an egg and make toast in the time it takes to load. I've done it! I considered giving it a thumbs down for that reason. But the truth is there are faster and newer games that are so much less fun than Cannon Fodder 3 and I could spend hours on an inferior modern game, be far…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Cannon Fodder 3 is a (not that old) twin stick military/cartoony shooter where you control a squad of soldiers and shoot all the bad guys etc etc. Despite being released in 2012, there's no widescreen support and the resolution is fixed, so the game falls far beneath minimum standard for PC. It's insane to charge a whopping $15 USD for a game that doesn't even have 16:9 support. Impossible to recommend.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Longgggggggggggg loading screens like come on this is 2019 not 1999.. So much potential in this game to be as great as the original two but the implementation is so bad. Such a shame I really wanted to love this game :(
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very long loading times to match the Amiga and No where near as good as 1 & 2 bring the old ones back not this!
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →For a game that is 20 years old, the loading screen time between missions is pathetic, it is not like its loading from a cassette tape. Devs fix this please
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The original Cannon Fodder, was one of the first games I played, I loved it! So seeing that a third one was up for grabs, I went for it... It is NOTHING like the first 2 and was extremely dissapointing. RIP Cannon Fodder.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Steam!? Why do you put CO-OP when the online co-op doesn't work!? I can't connect to the servers. Upon googling it says it's been removed... Not happy. I'm glad I only paid £1 for this from GAME else I would have been requesting a full refund.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A farewell to the legend. Nice nostalgia game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →While not as cute and endearing as the original, I do still enjoy this little mini shooter. Runs well and keeps me occupied.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →OMG! If this has any of the qualities of the original two games, it's gonna be awesome. I prob should really have played the game before writing this, but im too excited that they released a updated Cannon Fodder! All we need now, is releases like Moonstone, IK+, Chaos Engine, Xenon etc... Now that would be fantastic. My recomendation, buy this and give it a shot, its not to pricey and i think we'll all be surprised.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A fun addition to the original Cannon Fodder 1 & 2. I played they on the ye olde Amiga. This instalment was enjoyable. A fun time waster.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Since I havent been able to find any guide for this game, I made one myself, you can download it here: https://juntau.denniskrog.dk/guides/cannon-fodder-3 I was going into the game a bit unaware of what to expect, but I quickly got caught up in doing it all the achivements, but I think it is more like how my brain function. But the game is tense and exciting if you are trying to get all achivements. Only bad thing I can say is when the big General is giving you messages it takes up way to…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Played Amiga version Cannon Fodder many moons ago, the original is still the best but this brings back memories and it’s cheap.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I love Cannon Fodder and have played through that game many times. It is great. No, Cannon Fodder 3 is not as good as Cannon Fodder, but I still enjoyed playing it. It is not as frantic as the original for a few reasons. Your soldiers have a few hit points, so you can take a few stray bullets here and there without losing your troops. In the original your soldiers were far more fragile. Also, in the original enemies might kill you when they are barely within the extreme edge of your…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Couldn't get past the loading screen. Looks like it's rubbish, though, so not missing anything.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →There were reports about ridiculous loading times. Fix You can find on Steam support didn't work for me. So, I haven't even seen mission. Waited for 5 minutes and nothing. Shame that not working games are sold...
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →While technically flawed (low FPS regardless of the system, for me disabling v-sync caused incredibly long load times ... like 5 min to load a level 0_o, whith v-sync on its a few sec) ... this is still an ok stab at bringing the classic CF vibe to the modern day. Get it on sale if you have that soft spot for the Amiga original.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Good lord. It tries with the intro, but I couldn't even play the game. It got stuck on what i can only assume is the loading screen (sideways scrolling helecopter with badly looped rock music playing, for about one and a half minutes). Tried pressing everything on the keyboard; had to ctrl alt del in the end.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →im buy 3 copy of this game to play witch friends but this sh***t donte have working multi after game spy servers is going down... so sad, want my money back.....
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Good looks, but no Cannon Fodder. It's a remake of the original with no regard of the basic things that made it stand out. Feels more like Worms rather than CF.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Loved this game on the Amiga 500+ and 1200 and still love it now. 😊
