A cool 2 on 2 or 3 on 3 if you're into team matches like KoF. It's a fun game, if you're into fighting games like the King of Fighters or Street Fighter. One downside is the difficulty, which I feel like easy and hard are kinda the same in my opinion.

Crossplay is a non-starter, the menu music is terrible, and training mode is unfinished. Rather than being bound to a button, playback functions in training mode operate on a timer. That means that the series' namesake, Breakers, are needlessly hard to lab. The game doesn't even teach you what a Breaker is. Just use Fightcade.

Breaker's Revenge is a mainstay of anyone who grew up on Kaillera and GGPO and while goofy, it fully holds up as a game in the Karnov's Revenge / Super Turbo / Alpha 2 / Real Bout kind of area. I've gotten close to beating him, which is much closer than I've gotten with some other old fighting games. The colors are great, the sprites are great, the movement feels good, the characters are neat, and the music is fun. I love the funky CRT filter I can add to the screen.
