SNK VS. CAPCOM SVC CHAOS
Developer Code Mystics
SNK vs. Capcom: SVC Chaos, better known in arcades as SVC Chaos: SNK vs. Capcom, is a 2003 crossover fighting game developed and published by SNK Playmore for the Neo Geo arcade and home platform. It was then later ported to the PlayStation 2 and Xbox, although only the Xbox port was released in North America and both platforms were released in Japan and PAL regions. I will never support ♥♥♥♥ like that. edit: Game itself is not censored, but the fact alone that they had to censor the artwork for the west, and tell us that they are very sorry that this game could offend people is reason alone for me to not support this release and give it a negative review.

unlabelledView post →Good port and everything, but the fact that this game has limited continues in a game where the AI reads you like an open book is weird. please fix this. regarding the censorship, there is none to be seen, mai's boobs still bounce and the art gallery still show her with a cleavage and everything. so you guys can stop weaning.

unlabelledView post →KUSOGE WARNING: NOT FOR THE FEINT OF HEART This is known in the FGC as a "Kusoge", which means sh*t game in Japan. SVC Chaos is famous, or rather Infamous, for having such an effed up balance. There are several wild and questionable game design choices. How messed up is the balance you ask? - Every boss and hidden character is legal, which means - Shin Akuma is legal - Shin Akuma can do supers without meter, except for raging demon which does cost meter - Shin Akuma can lock you down with an…

unlabelledView post →Do not listen to any negative reviews of this game, those are from fake fighting game fans. This is the best game ever made and its one of the echelons of fighting game history. This game allows you to turn Hugo into female Hugo who is just Hugo's sprite but with boobs, the future really is now SNK (12/10).

unlabelledView post →I really didn't want to write a negative review for this game. I think the game itself is awesome but I'm confused as to how I'm supposed to play it in its current state. This game visually looks great and I really like the sprites. The gameplay itself is pretty fun. This is also a really cool port with additions such as the gallery, leaderboard, and an online mode. But that's where the positives pretty much end. This game is infamously unbalanced. I never fully understood how broken it was…

unlabelledView post →It's janky, broken, attackboxes fly over hurtboxes on certain characters with no apparent reason, has the bafflest decisions made, the hit sound effects sound like a toddler in a beach hitting a toy bucket with a toy shovel, the AI is the cheapest rage inducing input reading bullcrap even for SNK standards, aneurysm inducing final bosses, you wouldn't believe this game is from the same company that delivered The Last Blade 2 or Garou Mark of the Wolves... But you can feel the love poured into…

unlabelledView post →SVC Chaos is an absolutely odd game. Created by SNK right after their FIRST bankrupsy, (Yes, they got bankrupted and turned into pachinko businesses twice over. The SNK story is absurd.) SVC chaos is an odd, dark crossover fighter which involves you playing as classic Capcom or SNK characters and duking it out, with stock punch sound effects and weird special moves that just don't feel right, along with specials that do random amounts of damage. Okay, let me point out the first elephant in…

Internet losers hate it bcuz they got their b1tch asses handed to them way too many time on this game lol. Ignore the haters and appreciate the re-release of this gem in modern consoles. positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →SNK VS. CAPCOM SVC CHAOS has always been a bit of a mixed bag for me. Despite boasting an impressive roster that fans of both SNK and Capcom can appreciate, the game never quite captured my heart. Released during the twilight years of the Neo Geo, it’s clear that the game shows its flaws, particularly in its stage designs and soundtrack. While the inputs aren’t as smooth or user-friendly as those in KOF '97, the game still manages to hold its own thanks to Capcom characters and engaging…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Don't buy this game if you're looking for a totally polished, totally balanced fighting game that stands the test of time. This was a weird experiment by a company in its dying days running on decade-old hardware made mostly out of obligation. It rules in its own special little way, as a time capsule of sorts--the fact that the Neo Geo's lifespan crossed over with the Game Boy Advance will always be a little crazy to me, for one--and as a conservation effort I appreciate it immensely. The…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →(EDIT: The port is basically a carbon copy of the arcade version and runs very well, so as broken and silly as this game is, I simply can't rate it down and am changing to a thumbs up. Providing excellent ports of old obscure games like this simply must be encouraged - especially when done this well.) ----Original Review---- I remember seeing an actual cabinet for this at a Cinemark near my apartment in the early 2000's. I never put quarters in, so it's basically awesome that this game…

unlabelledView post →Only for those who are curious SNK vs. CAPCOM: SVC Chaos is a fighting game that came out initially way back in 2003. If you live(d) in North America like me at the time you had to wait until the next year to grab it. And in an odd choice for those in NA, the publisher decided to release it only on the original XBOX. It's not like the XBOX wasn't popular. But it definitely was not a popular choice for fight fans. So in North America at least this game remained an obscure title. And to be…

unlabelledView post →I've played this game in other forms and places. Even on the lowest difficulty setting there are some characters that are literally impossible to beat as they just spam untouchable moves to tedium. Even Mortal Kombat was tolerable on lower setting , but here I don't think the settings even work. It's a novelty game at best but almost unplayable unless you max out your guages in the settings. Even then it's Souls level hard on the lowest setting and I've been playing street fighter since SF1…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Don't buy this if your plan is to play it for fun single player sessions. Even at the lowest difficulty, the AI is very cheap with constant spam moves and reading inputs at a point that its not very fun to play. It reminds me the AI from the arcade versions of Street Fighter 2. Plus, for a 2003 game, its not very polished compared to other fighting games of that era like Street Fighter 3. It kinda feel like a cheap game overall.
