negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Don't believe without actual facts There is nothing wrong with the EULA There is no malware / rootkit / spyware / etc. Recent negative reviews are basing their claims that can be traced backwards to a single source who has a history of spreading misinformation online. Unlike others, I did my research on my own and even compared the EULA to what it was previously. There is nothing wrong with the EULA compared to the ones you probably agreed to for Valve, Blizzard, Nexon, Roblox, etc. etc.…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Doing my part. Borderlands is a great franchise. I love everything about the games. Take two is garbage. Im hurt to have to put a bad review on a great game because of a trash company. Will be copying and pasting this on the other copies of borderlands games i own as well. Go F*** yourself take-two and your EULA garbage. Hope you change it before release or I wont be there.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Corporate Greed get's this game a negative review. Two things need to change in order to change this review. 1. ULA Changes need to be reversed, so that our privacy is protected 2. Randy Pitchford get's fired
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you're using any headset other than a Valve Index or Rift S, this port is effectively unplayable. On other headsets, the HUD appears off-center and misaligned to the point where the aiming crosshair fails to align properly with your shots. I tested this with an Acer AH101, Quest 2, and Quest Pro, and all of them exhibited the same misalignment issue. It seems Gearbox has not addressed this problem, and, to the best of my knowledge, there is no mod or unofficial fix available. As such, I…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Let me start by saying, that it's not a perfect port of the original game. Some key features are missing from what the original Borderlands 2 perfected so well. Let me keep this review short and simple. Pros: - Still has one of the best narratives in Borderlands' history - All of the loot is still the same that we all enjoy - Bosses and areas remain familiar - DLC was added as an extra content pack for free - Enemies are up close and personal this time. immersing you in fights and providing…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →TRAGEDY, TRAGEDY. Here's where it HURTS. No commander Lilith & the fight for sanctuary dlc, & NO CO-OP. YES! NO CO-OP! PLEASE UPDATE THIS GAME.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Humble Bundle has this for 12 bucks Right now !!!!!!!!!!!! the game is great !!! it has different words in the beginning like clap trap points out that you are in VR and stuff like that. You can change the speed from slow, normal and fast walk which helps. If your new to vr do SLOW, then change to Normal when your eyes adjust. Dont turn on game as much, Turn your body so you wont get dizzy . My favorite thing about the game was the SLOW MOTION feature that they added . I dont understand why…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I would like to give the game a thumbs up, because despite the abundance of negative aspects to criticize, I am still having fun with it. BUT I don't believe the developers of this game deserve it. Here is why: 1. The price: Yes, you can get the key for this game for $1–$2, and it's frequently bundled up with other VR games for a good price on third-party vendors. Sometimes it's on sale on Steam as well. BUT right now, they are demanding over $40 for it, and that's just an insult in light…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Devs abandoned this port, can be very buggy at times, lack of cloud saves is absolutely nuts, however i still enjoy this game and port, but i cannot recommend it unfortunately
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →7/10 Rather then just gung-ho, mindless rinse and repeat for loot in co-op. as it was for Borderland 1. Its a great way to play in solo, to actually enjoy the story. with immersion in VR, on your pace. the Good, VR works well (only using 'Air Link + Quest 3') just turn off 'cross hair', change to 'walk+jump' and walk speed to 'fast', press left trigger to scope or steady aim. the Bad, no co-op, multiplayer. Driving the buggy, needs getting used to. the Ugly, HUD has a bit clipping at left…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →With a light touch of a single mod that changes couple of control mappings and removes the aiming 'screen' for guns this game becomes one of the best pc vr shooters. The port is actually pretty good. You get the original borderland experience with all the animations, dialogs and progression, but in an immersive way. There are a lot of comfort options for vr, but I am using fast movements and jumps because this is how I like my vr games
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you're a big Borderlands enjoyer like myself, I would completely skip this in VR and just play the standard game. There are numerous bugs and lack of basic VR controls, as well as no coop / multiplayer. This is just not worth playing, at least not without heavily modding it. This is hard to recommend even when it's 75% off. (also I don't know why this is still $50 USD lol)
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This VR port is absolutely slept on. The "Mixed" rating convinced me to pass on this game for years. After finally giving it an honest chance, I can't help but feel those reviews significantly undersell what this game actually offers. I found that many of the issues people mention can be resolved with just a little time spent in the settings menus. At the time of this review, I've logged roughly 30 hours in my first week, completed the main campaign, and I'm genuinely excited to begin True…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Its not about the fact that there is or is not spyware built into the games, its about the fact the Take-Two has stated that they reserve the right to collect this data including but not limited to passwords, emails, operating system info etc. They shouldn't be allowed to do that, they are stating that they reserve the right to spy on you and install any kind of spyware in any program they own the rights to.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is just a testement to how greedy some game Developers are. it would have so easy for them to encorperate controls and aiming that makes sense and actually works. But no , they put this peace of trash out just for a money grab . Its basically unplayable with how bad the controls are and your bullets go about 3 feet to the left of where you are aiming. This is trash. Dont get it. .....word to Devs. can you please fix this ????
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Does not work well with PSVR2 controllers; the gun aims "up" rather than forward, almost as if you're holding it like a baseball bat. If updated could be fantastic.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →♥♥♥♥ you gearbox and 2k
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →do NOT get this game if you use a meta quest 2, game is glitchy af (crazy motion sickness due to the game deciding not to let you "move", your bullets go everywhere eventhough your crosshair is 100% on point, random visual glitches) and barely playable. bummer, really. should have trusted the reviews.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Forget it if you own a Quest 3. It comes with TWO mappings, and they don't include Quest or Meta.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I did like Borderlands 2. It was a nice game, but this doesn't do it justice. This isn't Borderlands 2 VR, no, this is VR playing Boderlands 2. Let me explain. You could use software such as UEVRInjector and just play Borderlands 2 in VR. The controls would be better and the game would work properly. But trying to play Borderlands 2 VR, that is crap. The cutscenes take you to a movie theatre, the controls are poorly mapped, and as you are moving through the world there is a constant visual…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →[Oculus Meta Quest 3] [3060 Ti 8 GB, Ryzen 9 5950X 16‑Core, 32 GB DDR4 RAM] I’m not covering the EULA review bombing, I'm reviewing the game itself, not the politics of the publisher. I spent countless hours playing the OG BR2 back in 2014 – 2016. My main and only character was Zer0 (as it is for the VR version). I completed every side quest, searched every corner in every location of the game, raided every single boss, and re‑played several times with friends, not to mention TVHM and UVHM…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY, EVEN ON SALE. I've tried every fix online, graphics and display settings in windows, running as admin, VDXR instead of SteamVR. Nothing makes this game display properly to my headset.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →don't make games anymore.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Play well on MetaQuest 3 but you would have to import custom bindings made by the community. It's pretty straight forward and can be done (and changed) any time in game through Steam VR settings. Very nice. A must have for any VR players who like Borderlands 2.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Controls are ATROCIOUS. The concept is great for Borderlands because who tf wouldnt want to play it in VR? But again, the thing that killed it for me (in a bad way) was CONTROL. I bought it on sale and it was a good idea I did given I also just learned it doesnt come with Multiplayer and some of the original DLC. Not worth $50 or even $20. Someone got greedy and was like, "Lets scam our fans into thinking they can functionally play one of the best FPS in history but in VR. >=)" Make an update…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I thought Borderlands 2 was chaotic already. VR proved me wrong. Borderlands 2 VR is the same loot-filled madness, except now everything is in your face and actively trying to overwhelm you. Guns feel wild, enemies feel closer than they should be, and explosions are suddenly a personal problem. The shooting is fun, the world looks great in VR, and Handsome Jack talking directly at you feels slightly threatening. Inventory management is still a thing, just now you’re doing it while wearing a…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I Love this series but I am UNINSTALLING and unless the Terms of Service change I will NEVER PLAY THEM AGAIN!!! and you shouldn't Either Take 2 is using the Borderlands Games to legally SPY on you and using your information including you PASSWORDS, Name, user name, gamertag, Postal Address, Email address, Phone Number, IP address, unique ID's, Mobile Device ID's, Platform ID's Gaming Service Advertising ID's, Android ID's, all chat and communications, Protected Characteristics like Age and…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Controls or lack there of for Quest 3 make it unplayble.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Roll back this EULA.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I got to say, most of the hate this port gets in unjustified! Sure, if your looking for the awsome co-op of the game, its been cut out.. But as a singleplayer experience this game is AMAZING! BL2 also has the best story by far! I´v spent more than 300+ hours in the borderland games and being able to re-experience this in VR is just amazing! The motion-controls are tight, visual is stunning and the overall functionality is pretty much flawless.. 9.5/10
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Please god tell me this will be fixed for the steam frame
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →NO MULTIPLAYER Low effort VR port, custom controls config is a requirement as vanilla controls are bizzare. Worth getting on a steep sale and with reigned in expectations.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Awful port, great game. No co-op No weapon angle adjustment No proper aim Not polished Bad in game UI Bugs on Quest 2 and Pico 4 (Pico 3 is ok tho) Buggy in general NO MULTIPLAYER FFS Still somehow playable, but for SUCH price and without co-op it almost pointless to play this.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Predatory EULA, don't buy or play.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Buyer Beware dont bother they added spyware to it
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A very barebones VR port, no reloading, no aiming, it just plays animations for you after pressing a button. You can't hold your weapon with two hands, it reminds me of the Skyrim port a lot. They just slapped VR on it added two new voice lines for Claptrap and called it a day. Skip it. Support quality VR games.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Take 2 at it again and they are ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ over the game dev studios they own cuase the old ♥♥♥♥♥ at the top hate user freedom
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is such a cool port of a game and its done really well in terms of optimization. I would highly recommend 2 things, 1 Removing the HUD in settings (or using HUD mod on Nexus mods if you want to include only the compass + health for navigation). 2 Removing your cross hair if you are on a Oculus 3 device and using the iron sights like bonelabs (another great VR game) its not great at long distance and only on Oculus devices it will shoot funky, get the ricochet perk as well for a 50%…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Well well well... Having played Borderlands 1, 2, and 3, I can say this game is the best Borderlands installment ever! Why, you might ask? Because it makes all the departments where flatscreen version are lacking much better, of course. Take the shooting and guns. I don't like shooting in flatscreen Borderlands, it's a tad bland. But what's done here is the most fun arcadey shooting I gave experienced in VR! No matter the type of gun and the manufacturer, all of them are extremely fun…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Bad Devs and bad port to vr also they updated the TOS so they can steal your data.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Change EULA or will never play a gearbox/2k game ever
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Completely broken and abandoned port. Unplayable on any modern VR Headset
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →In its current state I do not recommend this game. I use a meta quest 3 and the game is clearly designed only for the htc vive in mind. I had to find a community controller layout to tolerate the gameplay. It doesnt feel very freeing like contractors or tactical assault vr. The guns are stuck to your hand and you reload by using down on the right joystick to reload. For melee you swing your controllers and it just happens. The immersion and movement just feels very limiting in its current…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Thanks for retroactively screwing my bought copy.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is even disregarding the whole spyware stuff: this game is VR was utter trash to play, super unstable, laggy and just does not feel right
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →You know why the damn TOS and EULA all SPYWARE screw Take 2 and gearbox for this ♥♥♥♥
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Uninstalled. The game is now spyware.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Okay so I played Borderlands 2 VR on the Playstation VR and it was an awesome experience. I got this game on PC looking for the same thrill.. I mean it's there but like, this game has one huge flaw it never addressed... The crosshair lies to you. Your aiming reticle is off center with where you're actually shooting so you can imagine how bad sniper rifles are here unless you mentally calculate how far off you need your reticle should be to hit your shot, but at that point?? I'm just going to…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →honestly the lack of coop and no 2 handing isnt all that bad im usually someone who plays games alone and have had a blast looting and shooting in vr tho a mod does exist for bl3 and its fairly decent
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a nice port. I haven’t had any issues running it on a Meta Quest 3s. Looks nice visually. Just a couple of shortcomings in my mind. 1. Cutscenes move out of full VR experience. 2. The right stick handling gun changes can be tricky and causes a lot of unintended gunswapping. Overall, pretty cool though.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →i stopped playing this game for months, when i got back, my only character with a 49 hours of play time including my options settings are gone. my hard-played save is gone. not gonna buy Borderlands anymore. much better to pirate the game
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Begone filthy Spy
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Paid for spyware. Amazing.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →One of the only games I have ever returned. It's hard to explain how poorly implemented this game is in VR, especially when using a modern system. Avoid. In fact, you'd be better off using a mod on the flat screen version of Borderlands 2.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →i played this game in vr and i shot claptrap.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →i really liked borderlands 2 and recently got a quest 3 headset and the game was on sale so i thought why not? if your playing on a vive headset you should be fine. however on quest i was unsure the game cloud even be beaten. turns out yes it can. the main story for sure and all dlc should work fine. the controls are jank let me tell you. i tought you couldnt steer but it was just a layout issue. to steer you press down right tumbstick and then steer. and to honk you press down on the right…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →My god is this a bad VR port. The controls feels off. You don't aim the gun, you wave it around until the game's crosshairs goes red. Driving is impossible, the steering sucks and don't get me started of the motion sickness I got. On top of it being only single player, in a Borderlands game. The ONLY up side is seeing my sweet Moxxie in VR, moterboating her tits and laying under her.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Being able to play borderlands 2 in vr is amazing, but sadly hud is quite broken for quest 2 and it's the first vr game to cause me severe motion sickness.
