positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A really cool concept, but has too much working against your investment in a run. If you aren't aware, the big thing this game has to offer is a risk management system in a run. The "artifacts" you pick up are actively harmful and increase your risk level. Rack up a ton of risk and make it to the shop where you can cash in all the bad artifacts for a lootbox of random helpful passive items. It's got a lot of potential but the game is a bit too brutal for its own good. Pros: - Risk…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Cool roguelike, but short, many items give debuffs, characters from the community workshop are too strong.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game starts strong with a gorgeous pixel art aesthetic and some truly unique gameplay mechanics that feel fresh in a crowded genre. The first few loops are genuinely enjoyable and hook you in immediately. However, the experience begins to feel shallow once the novelty wears off. The level design feels a bit "flat" over time, and having only one boss type per biome makes the progression feel repetitive. The biggest issue is the power scaling—the rewards and weapons simply don't keep pace…

In the world of rouge-like, where the baddies reign, Gotta stay sharp, play the game with no restrain. Duck, duck, dodge, we're on the run, Guns blazing, under the setting sun. Rouge-lite style, we make our mark, In this chaotic world, gotta leave a spark. (Chorus) Ducks with guns, in a world so bright, Rouge-like adventures, every day and night. Baddies on the prowl, blood in the air, In this…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I have almost 50 hours in this game and a big fan of this genre but i would not recommend this game. Only if on a huge sale. This game is basically about collecting punishments on your run with absolutely 0 reward. Keys are absolutely pointless, secret rooms have no good rewards either. Coins become useless if you have more than 15, all the machines you can find are useless , hp machine that drops more punishments , coin machine that drops hp... weapons are not good either, there are maybe…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is not a bad game... Can be quite enjoyable too......... And very, very, very frustrating lol. I mean... It's all luck based anyway, whatcha expect? I was wondering where this "PVP" comes from and then realized that it all depends on whom you co-op with. You see, there are "cursed artifacts" in the game and if you get the right ones, you can seriously hurt the other player. So if you ever wanted to play like a butthole... You now can! (Back to solo for you!) You need said "cursed…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →As others have said already, this doesn't really compete with great games in the genre like Nuclear Throne.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A bit of an odd one for today's #RandomGameSaturday with Blazing Beaks. My copy is unusual in that it came with a doodle drawn by one of the developers. As you can see, they've taken the opportunity to craft an intricate narrative that recontextualises the entire conceit of ducks shooting mutants.
unlabelledView post →Easily one of my favorite roguelites! Blazing Beaks is extremely satisfying to play, with its adorable visuals and smooth gameplay. One interesting game mechanic are the artifacts, which can be looted from enemies and have negative effects, but can be exchanged for items with positive effects. Basically, the game rewards risky runs, which is really cool in my opinion. As I recently managed to obtain all the achievements for the game, I'd like to give this game a thumbs-up, which, in my opinion,…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Mechanics do not provide for a sense of progression. You rely on luck more than you do on skill. UI is terrible and gamepad aiming is unprecise. Not that there's no fun to it, but it heavily depends on your ability to overcome frustration.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →origianlly got this on switch and had a lot of fun with it! Both solo and couch co op. It would be nice if there was more options for online play but I'm satisfied with it as it is. EVEN IF IT MAKES ME RAGE OUT SOMETIMES. I keep coming back to it. It's one of my favorites of it's genre.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →amazing game. pretty difficult, but extremely rewarding at the same time. the artifact system can be very frustrating but it's a unique mechanic that I hadn't seen before and that I enjoyed once I got used to it. I also love the art style and design of the characters, and the fact that some enemies speak some random cute gibberish is simply genius. chicken is the best character by the way.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Blazing Beaks is a funny action game where you play as a cute duck and shoot enemies. The pixels graphics are great and the ambiant is really funny. I recommend it!!! 💚🦆💚
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A bunch of the guns flatly suck to play with, so much so that the only runs that are at all enjoyable are those where the player lucks into one of the game's few fun firearms. There's a hundred better roguelikes on Steam, don't waste your time with this one.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A game that seems well made, but is so hard you are gonna play the same levels over and over again. Why has it become so hard to implement proper difficulty levels? How about just adding one 'easy' setting were players inexperienced with the genre can at least beat the first boss and have some fun while getting used to the game and its controls.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I'm a big fan of rougelikes and this inconspicuous title quickly climbed to the top of the list of my favorite games in the genre. Easy to grasp but challenging, quick runs and quick restarts. It's impossible for me to play just a single run without restarting after I fail. Really interesting risk-reward mechanisms and satisfying gameplay made me addicted to this little game. On top of that it's really fun in co-op. 10/10, would recommend to every fan of the genre.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The lack of true multiplayer is a shame, especially for a game marketed that markets itself as a co-op experience front and centre on the Steam page. Currently, the only way to play with a friend is through couch co-op or Steam's Remote Play streaming option. If co-op is important to you, this game is better suited for console, where a large television screen would be more advantageous for screen sharing. Guns are satisfying and have very nice RNG, ensuring you don't encounter the same gun…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The gameplay is pretty good but the visibility of some of the green enemies is low because they blend in with the background and each stage has only one boss which gets boring after a while
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game forces you take debuffs so you can gain powerups and while you can negate them with a shop room, sometimes a shop won't spawn for the entire floor and you will have to fight the boss with every debuff you have. Its a lot of fun really, but the game heavily relies on rng, makes me wish i listened to the negative reviews. If you REALLY wanna play this, get it on sale.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is more of a neutral review. This is a roguelike dungeon crawler twin-stick, of the “room-based” variety. This game was really hurt by a lack of metaprogression. The gameplay was fine, and I thought the idea of having to deal with debuffs to haul prize items back was pretty neat, but none of it builds toward anything — I was disappointed to find that there was no way to keep track of relics, like, I would have loved if every time you got a relic back to the shop you could check it off a…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I love this game. Super simple but very catching mechanics. Sadly It's been left dead.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Blazing Beaks takes a bold gamble on 2D-retro roguelike shooters that mostly doesn't pay off. It seems the idea was to make a Nuclear Bird Gungeon, but instead of good items, you pick up bad ones that can be traded in later based on risk/reward. Sounds interesting, but in practice, it's more frustrating than clever, and progress feels more dependent on RNG than skill for the casual player. While the game looks great and has a nostalgic charm, it is bogged down by questionable design choices.…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Like a needle in the eye. I wouldn't even know where to start with all the lousy game design choices made here. Just know that this isn't worth your time unless you are the patient type...
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Don't get me wrong, I like this game but for the price that it is, I don't recommend you get it. if the game goes on a sale then sure go for it, but at the current price of 15 USD I do not recommend you purchase this game now usually when there is the ability for mods on a game it brings the worth/value up I don't think that applies to this game because while there is *a* modding community, its sorta dead which sucks because that could very easily make this game worth the money all in all,…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's good, but not perfect. The best part of the game has to be the music, and the overall feel of surviving with (less than) nothing, long enough to turn it in and get a huge power spike. The music in particular is some of the best I've heard in roguelikes/lites. The art is very clean, environment looks nice and the characters and enemies have a lot of charm to them. As for gameplay, it's hard to pinpoint exactly what makes the game fun to me, but I think it's mostly the struggle. I like to…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A mediocre Nuclear Throne clone, positioning itself as an "almost roguelike", justifying the lack of replayability. The game has different characters, although the gameplay is noticeably different from the strength of 5 of them. Why it was impossible to diversify them, giving some of them something other than a dash in the form of an ability from the start is unclear. Very poor variety of enemies and bosses. On the positive side, it is worth noting the mechanics with curses, but coupled with…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Blazing Beaks is a top-down roguelike that provides a few unique mechanics to try to stand out in a bloated genre, but really falls by the wayside with mediocrity. I first started playing Blazing Beaks in early access and coming back 5-6 years later to beat the game there's been little improvement on the core issues of the game - just more content being added. What the game has going for it that stood out was artifacts which are temporary debuffs that can be traded in for prizes at the shop.…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →To bad this game got abandoned, but good game with clever mechanics.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →wish it had online coop :( but besides that its awesome sauce
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very addicting, quite clever in the way various perks/handicaps/weapons can interact. Quite diverse to the point there are probably more than 1 play-style to beat the game. This is a must-play, unless you don't like roguelites or hate the graphics... or maybe if you just hate birds? Also, if you play local-coop with a friendly friend (with emphasis on "friendly"), this can be even more fun! If your friend likes to "mess with you", this will be fun too - many times, players will disagree on…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Muito bom mesmo, sempre quis ser um Pato que mata todo mundo que ve pela frente com armas absurdas Lembra mt enter the gungeon esse, mas com elementos de the binding of isaac e outros roguelikes, recomendo bastante, dá pra se divertir bem nesse
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →more frustrating than fun
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Really good rougelike that never gets too overwhelming
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →tldr: nuclear throne but worse in every conceivable way not very enjoyable to play. the balance is all over the place. some guns are objectively worse than others, so there is no reason to pick them, so variety of weaponry is quite barren. the artifacts are balanced horribly, there are some that it makes zero sense to pick up, not because they are too risky, but because you get less future artifacts as a consequence. the amount of items is also meagre, they repeat a bunch of times even over…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Holy crap i was hoping this kinda like Nuclear Throne but boooy was i in for a rude awakening. This game has a very bad user interface. There are menus where you cant use the mouse but have to use the keyboard. The upgrade system is the biggest mess ever. Its just not fun. I cant recommend this if you like Nuclear Throne.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The best way to describe this game is there's spammy enemies everywhere, and many have large-AoE environmental effects that take forever to dissipate. Waiting 5 seconds for enemy explosives or goop to dissipate on every floor gets old very fast.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →DUCK. DUCK. MOUSE. 🦆🐁 That's right, we're playing Blazing Beaks right now, a fun indie game where the ducks are the ones in hunting season! Come join in! twitch.tv/purexarex #furry #twitch #vtuber

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Always loved the music of this game and it's replayability is also great
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →the pinnacle of human intelligence. destiny has led us to create this gem. this is the reason we were made
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Its fun, but frustrating, it has good variety in enemies and playable characters, however its a little unintuitive and can feel very unfair. The second boss fight is a large increase of difficulty than the first which I find very frustrating.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Felky Fun Meter ||----------| [0/10] Not fun! I didn't like the "greed/gamble" (multiplier) system and it's a HUGE part of the game so.. Also effects like "you are constantly followed by a ghost" and such.. Most of my runs felt like a struggle and overall very frustrating experience.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I hate remote play
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →great great amazing i used to play on my switch but it got stolen super fun unlockables whn you beat the game its a mechanic of the game looping instead of just reseting progress to before when you beat it and on my switch it got me through some boring times in my trip to bali 1000000000 out of ten would more then recomand
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →solid but brimming with stupid, frustrating mechanics that ultimately detract from its true greatness can't compete with some of the genre's best but it's pretty okay
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Duck this game. It's an absolute duckfest. Get the duck outta here. Duck/10.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Haven't played much, but it's like Enter The Gungeon but with a more linear layout which I like. Just what i've been looking for! Thanks!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →very fun and replayable
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Best game ever!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I've played this for around 80 hours on switch, and it's definetly worth it. Wayyy better on PC, however. This game is hard to start, but becomes very fast moving and fun once you get good. The looping system is very fun, and allows you to break the game and become practically immortal. Overall, very good experience with decent amount of content.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Such an amazing game! super fun to play with many different combos of items characters and artifacts.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Absolutely no reason to buy this when Gungeon exists, it's worse in every way.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I don't know why this game is not more popular. It's actually crazy good for the price and the replayability factor. Simple, fun but also full of rage moments. I highly recommend if you like something along the lines Isaac.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →First: I like this kind of games, means Roguelikes and Roguelites.^^ This one is with birds. :D Every character has positive and negative attributes. The Items you get, the amount of enemies, hidden doors and everything else of this game is highly randomized, except bosses. I also enjoy the unique looking artstyle, its like you playing an cartoon or comic. Overall its very fun, but also very hard to play. it is both fun, playing alone and with friends. Soooo dont wait, buy it and start…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →this game is like temu nuclear throne with way more annoying audio and music
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →One of my Favorite indie games, I originally got it on switch. I've bought all the merch. I have over six copies of the game (I got two extra when I ordered a hat last year for Christmas, they game me a steam key, and a physical copy on switch) I personally bought the other four, steam, physical for ps4 (I don't even own one I just love the game so much), digital on switch, and physical for switch (I love it so much I got physical), all the people who leave bad reviews just got skill issues. I…
