positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The number of hours I have played this game is most likely as much as you'll ever get out of it before throwing in a white flag. Let me begin by saying, production starts with making goods for a few selected merchants, the number of items you produce range from 30 low count, to 150 at the high end of the spectrum per merchant. Iron ore is at the core of the game's playability, meanwhile there's just not enough to go around to to satisfy production at the halfway point in the game for merchant…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →so whilst i've completed 100% of achievements in this game i wouldn't recommend it as a purchase . I would say most of the fun/ good unlocks happened in the first hour . After that it was just a wait . The unlocks feel slow and uneventful , unlocking copper and silver is just a repeat of iron . The same goes with the different woods . slowly you get some extra floors that allow you to progress a little faster and unlock clay which is the only thing really different . I would say the game is…

My problem is that this game plays more like " autoclicker " , than tycoon/management game, but it´s just fine autoclicker. There isn´t much of a challenge, this game doesnt require you to think too much. just level up and hire more stuff, if you need anything. Not a tycoon bussiness, but relaxing autoclicker game
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I finished Blacksmith Master (Developer: Untitled Studio, Publisher: Hooded Horse, Price: 9,99€ (Sale)) after 29.4 hours, including 100% Steam achievements, played on Normal difficulty. Overall, the game is very enjoyable. The core gameplay loop is well designed, engaging, and remains satisfying throughout the playtime. Progression, production chains, and expansion systems work smoothly together and provide a constant sense of advancement. That said, the game becomes too easy at times. After…

In Blacksmith Master there is a higher level of intricacy that is required that is simple not available. This leads to unnecessarily tedious gameplay. This game is just a cash grab attempt to make additional gains on their success from a different game.

unlabelledView post →The game is rather fun starting out but quickly becomes boring and repetitive. There's no new content and pretty much turns into quickly expanding, spamming smiths and just forfilling orders. The mine and forest are nice in theory but completely useless and generally cost more to set up then just restocking the items cost. In my opinion not truly worth the time or effort unless you play long term which most probably won't do since the gameplay is repetitive. Scholars improve items or unlock…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →first off, i wanna say i LOVED the previous gam in the series, Tavern Master the customisation, the daily challenges the creative freedom, the chill vibe i was very hyped for this game, i was hoping for more of the same to a different theme instead it feels like a more dumbed down version of Tavern Master with a bunch of extra "thrown in" features even on easy mode, you will barely break even, so everything needs to be super optimised limiting your creative freedom, and it's much harder to…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I was expecting more, the trailer felt like more was happenning, but it really is a lot of waiting, there are no event that really need your attention, in fact, nothing really happens. Also, the AI is really bad (helpers stuck on taking items from the chest with 2 items and ignoring the one with 30 items, also, it doesnt know how to check more than one chest at a time). The game is clearly still on an early access status, which is fine, but not worth the price. Buy the game to support the devs…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I've debated between Yes and No for a good while, and even though this is a No at the moment, I do think anyone interested should give their personal go at it. The progression system is cool, you have lots of decoration options to personalize your shop, there's a learning curve going from Operating to Lucrative, and the overall idea of the game is really solid. However... the novelty does run out fast. I've found myself simply sitting idly while speeding up days in order to get to the next,…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →No way to fail, money feels pretty meaningless, no real goals, production chain cannot really be efficient, assistants can only be assigned one task, game play boils down to selecting product for merchant and waiting, no other inputs are really needed.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game has all the problems of Tavern Master, and then some, but with none of the charm. The game starts out easily enough, but by day 100 your smithy will probably look more like, operate like, a sweatshop; and it only gets worse as time goes on. The sheer amount of people you need to micro manage makes mid game hard, and late game nigh impossible: switching what person does is one thing when you have around 30 people, but try doing it with 200+ (and you have make changes one person at a…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I really wanted to like this game .. I thoroughly enjoyed their previous game tavern master. But despite seemingly wanted to innovate they really didn't nail a good gameplay loop here. I hope they improve it would love to change the review but as of right now it just feels .. boring.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This review is completely opinionated. Overall the game runs fine and can offer satisfying gameplay towards specific folks. I just have a hard time recommending this game. It's a cool idea with some nice concepts but it just doesn't feel fun to play for me. It feels more like a tycoon simulator vs a game about blacksmithing. So much focus is on resource management and filling big orders that if feels more like a factory with a hundred people running around rather than a blacksmith forge.…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun for the first 2 hours and then it just becomes a repeat of buying larger space, adding the same things, hiring more people and wait for more money to come in to buy more space, adding the same things etc.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun for some time ~20hours but it gets into extremely boring loop, very limited content.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →There really isn't much gameplay after 15 "days" or so. Selling to customer is useless. There is a good idea here, would like to see... more.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I have mixed feelings, i do want to recommend this game but I don't think its ready for early access. I have played many games in this genre and it is missing features that seem small but really matter. For ex. I could not keep up with demand in the store, the main way to deal with this is simply to increase the price over stock price so there is a smaller chance that people will buy it do to over charging, how ever things did not change. matter of fact i think more people ended up coming and i…

unlabelledView post →I am a huge fan of Tavern Master, I spent many hours building an amazing pub/hotel, so I was very excited about this one. And while I did get hooked for a bit, I didn’t really enjoy most of my time with it. My biggest gripe with it is that staff management is super chaotic now - you can no longer assign them to a specific floor, so the task micromanagement is completely off now. Secondly, the game becomes extremely grindy after a while, and that killed all enjoyment for me. The upgrades become…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game is relatively robust, simple concept, run a blacksmithing store. It has some fun concepts, like the research tab, but nothing revolutionary. However, it is riddled with non functional issues that get ignored if you ask about them. On this game, you need to set up logistic supply chains, and use "assistants" to run things to the shop, or to the carts in order to make sales. Sometimes it can be important that you pick where the assistants run things to. However, this game…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Its fun, but it has to many flaws right now. I, for example, set one Assistant to restock the shelves in my store. But the assistant always brings Items to the Merchant as a priority, which leaves the shelves empty. Also the Assistants often run to two of the three chests and only get one Item out of it, while the third one has 20+ Items. The amount of Micromanagement you have to do, because the game is buggy or badly designed is too big for me to give it a good review jet.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →tl;dr: the early game in this is excellent and the mid-game is even better, but holy crap it has an end game problem. Still, if the concept appeals to you at all, there's a ton of fun to be had here particularly at the normal sale price. That's the gist. If you want to know more, read on... First, let's get into what Blacksmith Master is NOT: Blacksmith Master is not a store simulator, and despite having the look of one, it is not a simulator game of any sort. Despite what it may look like,…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →So I played nearly 5h of this and I must say I can't recommend this game right now. The first evening of me playing was fun because it was new and I had lots to do and learn. The second evening was just letting the simulation run on 3x speed and making little changes to the running system, accepting new orders and leveling up my workers when they reached a new level. The balancing in this, like in so many simulation games, is just too fragile. If I hire multiple new workers I would need to…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Top 10 worst games I bought. It's mindless and turns what could be a great 4-8 hour game into a 50 hour game
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I can't play games without keybinding options. I still don't understand why these companies can't get it that some of us are either left handed, have exceptionally large hands or other issues requiring options to be able to remap keys to what works for us. Making key remapping is a very simple thing for a developer to implement but many are too lazy to do it. Tried the game, refunded the game. If they get keybinding options implemented let me know, I'll try it again.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is something specific and it doesn't really pretend to be anything else. It's a vibe, and won't suit everyone. If you want lore and NPCs to talk to, this isn't it. If you want a shop simulator that is focused on balancing resources, staff management, crafting speed, profit margins, and that kind of thing, then you will probably like this. My only real complaint is that I've already gotten to the end game a few times and I'm ready for something new, but of course that's how any good…

unlabelledView post →At the 20 hour mark into my first (relaxed difficulty) save file, I have unlocked every blueprint and gotten them all to at least rare, more than half to legendary. I also have 20% employee happiness. I could definitely push farther: unlocking the last few items on the mastery tree, buying more racks and keeping them full, maxing out trade routes every day, increasing ducat production, etc. However, unlocking/discovering new things is the primary reason I play games like this, and I feel like…

unlabelledView post →If you think this is a game where you personally hand craft items yourself, it isn't. This game is pure 100% an automation game, where the majority of what you do is just designing your blacksmith hut, placing the crafting tools within, and then just hiring workers to actually craft everything themselves. Nothing wrong with that per se, if you like automation games, you'll probably like this. But if you're going into it expecting to make the items yourself, you'll be dissapointed.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →fun game thats worth it when half off, but it quickly becomes very slow and grindy. You experience 70% of what the game has to offer in the first two hours, and its a fun first two hours, but unlocking the rest of the game just takes a very, very long time.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I like this game just how it is. I see people saying it's too easy, I disagree. I'm not saying it's hard, but the difficulty level is perfect how it is, IMHO. Too many of these sim games lately are just go, go, go, constantly on the move with very little or even no time to step back and plan out your next move. This game lets me play at my own pace. I enjoy growing the business and watching the workers do their jobs. I can decide to pause it at any time and move things around how I want them,…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game is chill and relaxing, but beware if you use more than 1 chest any over flow will become "rack items" so use 1 or two chests. Once they add a feature to change items type in the chest then mass production can begin.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A very well-made management game. It starts off very simple, but the progression is huge. At some point, your forge looks more like a factory than a forge, with lots of employees and an entire production line to manage. It's a nice game to learn about supply chains, eventually, all you need to do is ensure you have the right resources to keep production running. After around 15 hours of gameplay, it gets too grindy. I think it's impossible to 100% the game. I saw some people saying they hit…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is pretty good. It gets pretty grindy towards the back end of the game but I didn't mind it too much. 100%'d the game in less than 20 hours. Bought the game for $10 so I'd say I got my moneys worth. Would really like if the devs made additional ways to make money that wasn't just merchant orders or shop sales. Could be fun if they had special "Military" orders that involved multiple items. Maybe unlocking special blueprints through rare quests would be nice as well. Towards the end I…

If you like games where you build things and manage a business, I really think you’ll enjoy this one. It’s definitely worth trying!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Worst Hooded Horse game I've ever played. Which still ain't awful! But there's not much game here. Graphics are nice, but the core loop feels so empty. Sorry, wish I liked this more, but one of the emptiest 100% games of 2025 for ol' jaguars.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Its alright, got a good loop and some automation. Slightly easy to get softlocked early if you try to expand too fast, I accidently did that on my first save a good 10 minutes in. I've gotten to the point of starting a day, selecting my big orders, and then minimizing the game until the day is over since everything is so automated. This is a thing a few other reviews have said where the first hour or so is filled with constant unlocks, and after that you are waiting a few in-game days for a…

unlabelledView post →Blacksmith management.... you can play differently, at your own pace, I decided to go with basically a blacksmith sweatshop. Very profitable. Once I started getting deeper into the game, Just refilling everything becomes pretty tedious and not fun. Easily fixable if the devs put in an auto-refill at the end of day and is what ultimately makes me quit. Not really feeling much accomplishment from progressing the progression points, just more features unlocked, more work.. I did like reworking my…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's pretty fun, though late game the number of workers will begin to tank the framerate. I've 100% the game in 16h which is alright. It's kind of somewhere in between a management game and an idler which I do feel is a nice mix. Upgrades do come fairly frequently so it doesn't get boring One thing I feel a bit sad about is how the manual control feature is essentially useless and neglected. Early on it's kind of fun having a small cozy blacksmithing shop where you can control one character…

unlabelledView post →Right now I cannot recommend the game. Maybe in the future if things change. Their needs to be more goals in mind for the end game. At this point its just a break even for the amount of employees I run. Waiting hours for trades to get done to get a couple blueprints. The last 3 hours its pretty much been a desktop wallpaper while I watch Youtube. The idea is great, the mechanics are fun. But the high mid to end game is dull.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Starting around mid-game I mostly had the game running in the background to grind out resources and gold. There is a lot of potential for min-maxing with the employee traits, but it's not required at all. It's a good game but don't expect anything too crazy.
