We just went to whatever was showing I had no clue. The title was "Bitter Moon", a Polanski film that involves increasingly more hard core sexual exploration.

Polanski’s Bitter Moon did it better; the two monotone leads make this a candidate for most boring film ever made.

unlabelledView post →For tonight's Midnight Movie Madness, I am diving back into erotic thrillers with the film BITTER MOON by Roman Polanski. Heard ecstatic things about this one. What do you all think? Polanski hatred is encouraged.
unlabelledView post →Happy Thanksgiving, folks! After thinking long and hard about it, I decided to go with a movie that has absolutely no relationship to the holiday whatsoever! Now watching - BITTER MOON (1992) D. Roman Polanski #bittermoon #romanpolanski
unlabelledView post →Very astute discussion! I like the comparison of Lee to Russell. The final exchange of looks between Garfunkel and Russell in Bad Timing, on the avenue in New York, absolutely slays me. Great film that, like FWWM and Bitter Moon, was trashed upon release; all these made people too uncomfortable.

unlabelledView post →A hard to find film, but for any discovering Zulawski's Possession (1981), a film of his which pushes those boundaries even more. My honest read is that some of what motivated this film was mortal combat with fellow-Pole Polanski's Bitter Moon (1992). mattystanfield.wordpress.com/2015/09/15/t...
unlabelledView post →could not help but feel that he also was as an aside attempting to existentially blow up Polanski's Bitter Moon (1992), a fellow Pole director he seems to have some deep animosity towards. In any case, such an unique, powerful film. Nowhere near as great as Possession which stands alone in cinema.
