unlabelledView post →The thing I've never said here is that I love VR. I dreamed about it for 10 years before finally taking the plunge in 2020 with the Quest 2. A fantastic device. Half-Life Alyx is my biggest slap in the face in recent years. Beat Saber (modded) is probably the game I've played the most in my life. 😁

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I bought a VR headset specifically for this game. It's the reason VR exists. I feel like a badass and I look like a dumbass. 10/10
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Accidentally punched my grandma as she walked by while i was trying to beat my first expert+ level. 10/10
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Works fine on Linux, probably one of the best VR games ever made. I don't recommend buying songs, use custom songs and you'll be fine. Also, have a backup of your modded game in case of useless updates devs ship every now and then

unlabelledView post →Since Beat Saber wore out my shoulders (probably forever), I've been playing Pistol Whip as my VR exercise game. Really gets you squatting. Just found it has a lot of community-made levels too. Very good game. I reckon it's much better for your health than Beat Saber.
unlabelledView post →So apparently because I accidentally called it Saber Beat instead of Beat Saber, I might cause someone to try to find a non-existent game and utterly confuse them. I mean Beat Saber.
unlabelledView post →Okay, NOW I'm going to sleep, but only after discovering that the Beat Saber modding community have TOTALLY taken over the game now, running in-game live events on levels that blow everything official out of the water.
unlabelledView post →please do not ask me about VRChat or Beat Saber while i am playing an actual video game I actually like. legitimately annoying.
unlabelledView post →I'd really like to get back into Beat Saber, but holy fuck you really have to love this game to put up with modding it Despite all the community made QoL stuff that makes modding less of a pain, it is STILL and will probably ALWAYS be a pain in the ass
unlabelledView post →If you are going to buy it, learn how to add custom modded songs. Its not hard and makes this game worth it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you thought this was just a rhythm game, youre wrong. This is a workout simulator disguised as a power fantasy. One moment youre feeling like a jedi, the next youre desperately flailing like a wet spaghetti noodle trying to hit a blue note that you swore was red. The difficulty curve is simple: Expert: lullaby. Expert+: Who mapped this. for who? for what.. My shoulders have given their two weeks' notice and I've found muscles that absolutely should not exist. The only thing faster than the…

Calorie counting with my mom 3. Pokemon Go 4. Beat Saber Upcoming: that Hatsune Miku fitness boxing game

unlabelledView post →As a small chud I cannot recommend this game. the blocks are WAY too high for my frail stature to hit, and the controllers are far too heavy. I have tried tirelessly to reach my goal of hitting just ONE block and it still eludes me . I know i have 3000 hours but i will be reaching out to steam support for a full refund. sincerely, The Small Chud Gaming Community

unlabelledView post →amazing rhythm game, only complaint i really have is the abhorrent price of dlc, theres over 200 songs at £1.65 each, on top of the £25 you're paying for the base game, you're looking at over £400
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I feel like there’s no greater indicator that PSVR2 failed to meet its expectations than Beat Saber calling it quits. That THE game anyone with VR flocks to.
unlabelledView post →I’m working on setting up LIV, and if that goes well, I’ll be playing Beat Saber for the first time on stream today. This will also be my first time ever playing a rhythm game, so prepare for flailing. 😎 TBA!

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →going down the songs I tagged as favorites in vivid/stasis and listening to them individually outside the game. it's funny how real rhythm game cross-pollination is. so many of these songs are like "from Muse Dash" or "composed for Beat Saber" or literally just BMS stuff

unlabelledView post →[This review comes from a longtime quest player, so most of my hours are there] This game on itself is just, fine. You kinda need to play modded or else the 30 bucks you spent on this game will never be worth it Meta bought the game and ruined it for everyone, focusing on DLC packs instead of the free OST packs and there's no variety with the OST packs the same three or four artists with the same sound all throughout Beat saber peaked in OST 5, most songs, most variety feels like new songs…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Love this game. But it has a really bad model. The fact that this game isn't all in for modding is amazing to me. Because a company can never reproduce thousands of songs in Beat Saber but dedicated people can. If you get this game you better be modding it because it's junk otherwise. Truly a downfall for the devs not to completely lean towards the modding aspect.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Good game, bad experience ever since devs went full sellout years ago. It's the classic early access cycle of get a hit, get bought out, and then stop caring about the actual players. You CAN still enjoy this game with mods + custom songs, but you need to go to the settings -> betas -> and lock in one of the legacy versions. (stay around 1.29.1 or 1.32 if you want a stable experience). MODS ARE THE ONLY REASON THIS GAME SURVIVES. Period. Devs are lazy, they just pump out DLC packs and call it…

unlabelledView post →As a lifelong rhythm gamer raised on Guitar Hero and Rock Band, I've been aware of Beat Saber since its earliest days - watching YouTubers play early access builds, then occasionally trying it myself on friends' setups. I first played in 2019 on PS4 with PSVR, then again in 2024 on a Meta Quest 2, and every time I walked away thinking, "Yeah, this is my jam". It's funny, I refuse to buy consoles because I can never justify spending $500-$800 just to play the one game I want at a given time.…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →So I owned the oculus version of this game and the performance was horrible, I still don't know why, however the steam version works great!!!! not really worth another 30$ and none of my dlc transfers over but oh well lol.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →it's kinda funny, Apple got into the game late here and really nailed fixing all the problems of VR from 2015 except it's 2024 and all the movers-and-shakers of the video game landscape already put VR down after Beat Saber and Half-Life: Alyx showed exactly what the limits are, 4+ years ago
unlabelledView post →its so much fun but honestly its only worth it for the modded songs and it really is a shame theres no steam workshop integration
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is really the only game i play in vr. and after 1000 hours its still the best vr game i have played which says a lot about current VR games since its only a game where you chop blocks that come at you.
