Do not buy, if you really want to support the developers then email Curve games CEO and tell him he has a curve in his shaft that makes it difficult to pee with a boner. I don't know if it would actually help but after finding out that the devs were forced to stop updating because of the publishers, i'm just extremely mad.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →as much as i enjoyed this game. Curve games shut it down and there will be no more updates. the dev has said Runner Duck is now an indie dev studio again. they expressed their displeasure about leaving the game in such a state but Curve Games is the one who owns the rights and are no longer allowing updates.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →do not buy this game, the publisher has blocked further support for this game!
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Badlands crew is an amazing game made by Runner Duck, it's some amazing fun for a campaign where you make a war rig that fits your preferences and playstyle as tightly or loosely as you so desire. HOWEVER, the Publisher of the game, Curve Games, has decided to abandon the game and have shorthanded their developers. This game will not receive more updates, will not receive more care, and quite frankly, does not deserve your money.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game is decent, but it suffers from performance issues midway through the game. The devs, Runner Duck, want to address them as much as the community wants, but the publisher told them to get bent and thus forcibly cut support for the game. Get it on a heavy sale if you absolutely have to.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Awesome game but unfortunately Curvegames (the publisher of badlands crew) are a bunch of weenies that cut support for this game. Hoping the next game will be better since Runnerduck is now fully independent from curvegames. Can't recommend buying this game since devs are unable to update the game anymore (thanks curvegames!!!). Biggest issue with this game was performance and I doubt its going to be fixed because of what I mentioned above. Play bomber or space crew instead.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Pretty fun game mechanic wise, having the ability to build your own war-rig and conquer different factions throughout an open-world wasteland is a pretty niche game genre. Cars and clothing resemble something alike from Mad Max or Twisted Metal. My biggest gripe with the game is the performance which is becoming absolutely abysmal, I didn't really notice it early on but about halfway through my save I now usually get around 30-40 fps, this often includes fps stutters as well. Changing…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →For anyone saying this game is abandonware and not worth the money. It took me roughly 35-40 hours to complete the main missions, not counting the extras. The game is worth it. Not hugely polished but worth the money.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Classic Crew game, what will they think of next. 5 quid on submarines or something nautical
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →6/10 Feels like an early access game that was rushed out too early. While the other crew games were more about managing resources and crew while reacting to situations that cross your path, this one is more about building and driving. Which is funny, because it feels more like it should have been a naval combat game with how battlerigs handle. But either way, not much of your time is dedicated to managing crew or systems, which goes against what made the last 2 games special. For switching…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Don't get this game, there are no updates, and gameplay is repetitive.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Sum-Up In-depth analysis further down. 🟩 Pros 🟥 Cons • Solid vehicle building mechanics with an editor that, even if a bit clunky, has all the tools and components to build an endless variety of battle wagons. • Good variety of quests, including several unique ones that have their own mechanics and special objectives. • The progression feels well-paced and compelling, having you unlock new wagon parts, weapons and crew gear regularly to craft the rig of your dreams. • Fights are…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game is fun, and frankly i dont think it has any real competition in this genre. It is basically trucking from Mad Max, just without bothersome licensing. All in all it is a fun little game, very reasonably priced. So why negative review? I cannot finish this game... There is a massive performance issue when you progress through the story. At the beginning it is fine, but as the game progresses Your FPS drops significantly. I was forced to stop playing waiting for a patch, because I am…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →great game, Horrible publishers runner duck wanted to cook and Curve games shut the gas off post haste
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great game bad publisher. That is the story here. The dev's were 75% of the way to making one of the best mad max like games ever but unfortunately the publisher pulled the plug on the project. The game is still good but may have a few performance issues on certain machines so it's up to you if you want to take the chance or not. I'm recommending it because the game is simply a great game. I just wish I could leave a bad review for the publisher. Don't buy anything that is published by Curve.…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →i wish i could refund this unfinished, publisher cut support not adressing any issue while the dev did want to apparently the game idea should have been such a hit i liked the idea but it just dounst feel like a great optimised game with a gameloop thats lacking in some aspects i drive arround do a quest or 2 go back fight the same enemies over and over to unlock like one or 2 blueprints before finally at some point getting a big upgrade runs last longer curve is the same and then u grind for…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I really like the premise of this game, and I really enjoyed Space Crew, but there's something about this game that misses the mark for me. The biggest changes from the previous game: It's open world instead of being a string of random subsector encounters, You control the vehicle yourself, instead of just managing the crew, and you can customize every part of your rig. All of that sounds great, in theory, but in practice I found them to be a huge headache. The biggest disapointment was the…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I love this game. i played the other 2 in their series of "crew" games, and this one is by far the best. don't pay attn to the people complaining about the game not getting further patches, the only time that comes into play with a game is if it's buggy as hell and they won't fix it because they stopped dev. that is not this game, from what i've played so far it's a complete game and very polished. i've noticed only 1 bug so far (a champion spawning underground so i couldnt see/kill him just…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I enjoyed the game for the brief time I played it, but it's fairly repetitive, same missions with a little extra flavor the further into the game you go. Most of the game is gonna be you waiting for your vehicle to get to its destination. The game is also no longer being supported after only just a few months after it's launch.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →RTX 5080 for resolutions (3440x1440): Cyberpunk - 150 fps; RDR 2 - 150 fps; Alan Wake 2 - 150 fps; Black Myth: Wukong - 150 fps; Badlands Crew - 40-75 fps + freeze :) Its JOKE?
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is considered “abandoned.” What does that mean? In this case, it means that the game is fully released for a 1.0 release, but there will be no further content updates. But is that a bad thing? I had a lot of fun with this game. It’s way more involved than previous games in the crew series, with WAY more customization. I find myself remapping driving controls over camera controls, because I found that driving was far more important to manage. And it’s very fun. It’s your own personal…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This really would have been a neutral review. This is a small game, with low production value and a low quantity of real content. Gameplay is very plain and monotonous, and there's a very high level of reuse in the missions, environments and everything. But it works mechanically and technically. Building your rig is ok, progress is slow but present, the madmax fantasy is lowkey acheived. It's rare that I don't finish games I play for more than a few hours, but after 10h of this, I think I`m…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →No more updates... I was looking forward to this game. Thanks a lot.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →game has been abondened
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Performance is beyond awful, the rest of the game can be fine but 20-25fps is simply unacceptable. The game has been out more than long enough for the developers to have fixed this and yet they haven't. I will not be buying another game from this developer, they abandon their games after 1 year so do not deserve support
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Abandonware due to the Publisher. Avoid buying.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great idea, poor execution. The controls are frustrating, performance is lacking, and the gameplay, despite being set in a Mad Max-inspired world, somehow manages to feel boring. I wasn't a huge fan of Bomber Crew, so I hoped this game's setting would win me over. Unfortunately, it ended up being even worse. The concept has potential, but in its current state, I can't recommend it
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's... boring? Giving more buttons to press made this game overloaded with a ton of things that add nothing but more microcontrol. Truck building is also boring and adds nothing of interest and value If it was more rail-like like previous games it could be good. But honestly the setting itself didn't work for me so yeah Playable but "meh"
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game and concept is a solid development from the crew series, with fun progression, and core gameplay just like the previous installments. However, the building mechanic is incredibly unrefined and janky, crew control is difficult, many missions have no clear objective or way to achieve it, the game is incredibly unoptimised and lags or even crashes often, and the replayability is limited. Bomber crew is still the best in ther series and the quality has gone down with each subsequent…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →game is abandoned by its creators not even a year after release total disappointment
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Abandonware. Don't buy. Not a single update since it's release.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Under cooked and abandoned. Really disappointing since the first two games in the series were so well made. They need to go back to the old systems.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Abandoned game :(
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you have played other Runner Duck games before, you probably like the concept of being able to build your own war machine. This game delivers that concept, you will be able to build your own land-battle-truck with ton of customization, multi-tasking and micro-managing your own crews during a mission from driving to assigning them to a position and activate their own skills individually to assist you during a mission. But this game is not thoroughly polished still have several flaws: - The…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →-escort mission NPCs that move slower than your high speed, but faster than your medium speed -your gunners will all constantly hyperfixate on something in the distance and ignore the dozen enemies ramming into you -assist options for following roads and avoiding obstacles do not work, at all -UI is so huge and bloated that it looks like a parody image -runs worse than Helldivers 2 for some reason The vehicle construction is a neat idea, but badly implemented. You'll never have enough extra…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The screen shots and promo videos made me think this was a mad-max type driving combat game with a bit of rig building thrown it. It’s not, there is basically no player driving at all, you set your rig on autopilot and the rest of the time is spent micro managing your crew. Not what I was expecting or looking for. The performance is awful. This may be steam deck verified but it’s an awful experience on deck.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Unfortunately abandoned before it could reach its full potential due to publishers being evil ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. Despite that this game is a lot of fun and doesn't take long to 100%. I would recommend waiting for at least a 20% sale to purchase it. Would've loved to see this game get DLC like bomber crew did, such a shame. So much potential for improvement wasted.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I fell in love with this game as soon as I booted it. The menu music alone caught me. I have played the other two installments in the Crew series. And so I had high hopes and high expectations going into this. Must I say, that I basically played through the whole game in one sitting? Well it was more like over the course of a few weeks, perhaps. It is a short game, sure. I finished it with all achievements in under 40 hours. But worth it? Totally! I am not totally sure about the replay value,…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Interesting concept, and absolutely phenomenally bad controls. I know you've heard "bad controls" before but believe me, this is a game where you drive a truck and you can't even choose which direction you drive and have your vehicle reliably move that way. All of the default keys are weird (R forward, F backwards?!) and if you change them, it messes up the controls in the garage without relabeling them. This is a truly monumental usability disaster, an excellent case study in why having…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Unfortunately, very boring and repetitive. Controls are janky as hell, customization feels pretty limited, and the gameplay loop feels too basic. I think Runner Duck is a one-hit wonder with Bomber Crew. Avoid.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game ♥♥♥♥♥♥ kicks ass How does this amazing product have *mixed* reviews? Are you ♥♥♥♥♥♥ kidding me? This game has everything! You recruit doods, you build a battle truck, you drive from one point to another and try to survive out on the ♥♥♥♥♥♥ fury road! Honestly this game is kind of what I've been wanting for the longest time, the last game that scratched this itch was Interstate '76. Seriously you guys, this game is so much ♥♥♥♥♥♥ fun. There is so much ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ customization,…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I actually thoroughly enjoyed the game. It gives a reason for most any upgrade you make, any design you like. My biggest fun with it is the progression, the freedom to build, and the pretty easy to use controls. I honestly enjoy the recap at the end that shows iterations of your build until the end. My biggest cons are the weapon "types" meant to be better against certain factions or others can pretty much be ignored. Because if not, you're gonna need to find room for a generator, or a…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game isn't that bad. It's pretty enjoyable if you got some time to kill. It's very sad (Allegedly) that Curve Games chose to drop support to the game due to profit or other reasons.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Build your own battlewagon and blast your way through a post-apocalyptic wasteland. It's a little grindy and combat gets a little samey, but it's just so fun building my wagon, assembling my crew, and feeling like I've been plopped down in Mad Max: Fury Road! Side note: most recent negative reviews are due to the publisher blocking the developer from [url=https://steamcommunity.com/app/2078230/discussions/4/600789254027785931/#c594034489924261123]updating the game further which is too bad…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I hate it when I have to go to the internet to understand how to play. Make a tutorial, there are to many things the game does not explain. Ofcourse since support for the game was cut there will be no tutorial added so... Not a bad game, just incomplete, which in my opinion deserves a negative review. A shame since it looks to have a lot of potential. why did they kill this game? Since I have 4 hours on it they wont refund it, I wish runnerduck hadnt gone to bed with these ahole publishers…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game realies too much on micromanagement, especially relative to its predecessors. It is a good game, but not as good as it used to be. 6/10. Get it on sale.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →its fun but its very unoptimized as you play, please fix it
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I love the Mad Max theme. But not the frustrating controls, boring gameplay and gibbish voices.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Released in an unpolished state (mouse inversion only worked intermittently which is why I stopped playing). Just saw that the last update was 9 months ago. Was wondering what was up with this game. Saw the publisher abandoned it. Play bomber crew instead.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Amazing concept, game lacks polish Im gonna keep it short, publisher Curve Digital screwed over Runnerduck, the devs, the game is DOA as its not getting any more support from now on thanks to the publisher, do not bother with this game
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →What a game. Just Absolute Cinema. Its truly an runner duck game. Not too hard, not too easy, just perfect. (At least for me) Would 100% recommend.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →So the screenshots and the videos on the store page make this seem like it is going to be more action based in the same way Mad Max or Twisted Metal. And less micro management of everyone's shoelaces. But it's just another Bomber Crew reskin with very little variation to the gameplay loop. If you liked Bomber Crew then you'll like this if not skip it.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →First few hours a very fun but the game gets extremely boring after a few hours. Every mission is borderline the exact same and it just feels like a let down.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →we need mod for this game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I love everything about this game but the performance is absolute dogwater. expect 40 fps MAX, on a 4070 super
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Just simply an amazing game. It's so much fun to build the trucks and use all the different weapons and unlock new things... simply incredible
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →its fun but lacks fulfilment of its potential, nice ich for the madmax vibe but doesnt really do the job. shame really. get it in a sale its fine.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →My biggest gripe is the time to get around and the limited scale. Its like a budget mad max, but less fun. Other games they make are enjoyable, but this one falls on its face.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I want to love this game, I want to spend hundreds of hours on it but it's just such a casual experience. It has the bones to be an incredibly deep and fun game but totally ruins it all by just being too fudging easy.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Good game, BUT there are massive performance issues lategame. The latest patch only helped to make the game PLAYABLE
