25 of 25 · most liked firstRevealed — a VR game by Nyamyam (of Astrologaster fame), co-written by me! My first VR credit, and it uses live actors filmed in 3D throughout which is very cool. (I got to direct the performances for the demo version which was great fun)

Inkle Studio games come to mind, particularly Expelled, though I haven’t completed it yet so I can’t be certain. Haven’t played yet but maybe Astrologaster (if historical counts) Cozy, mystery, walk sims, The Sims…

This might be making an appearance when I teach madrigals next in Western Music from Hildegard to Haydn. store.steampowered.com/app/742520/A...

And the whole UI is themed like a pop-up book? Fabulous.

I think a lot of games require the build up of intuition from familiarity when it comes to mechanics or expectations of play so I think mechanically simple is better for novice

A goofy game using real historical figures for comedy, you play as a doctor who interprets the stars to advise his patients. Has a kind of Blackadder sense of humour
