negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Awesome classic RTS game! Has a decent campaign mode as well as skirmish and multiplayer. The graphics are a little chonky but there's a mod to allow for some modern feature support. Plays a lot like the old Age of Empire games.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I honestly had a really good time with Army Men RTS. There’s something super charming about the whole toy soldier setting, and battling across giant household environments gives the game a personality that a lot of RTS games just don’t have. It’s simple, fun, and easy to get into, which makes it great when you want a more relaxed strategy experience. Sure, it feels a bit dated in places, but that never stopped me from enjoying it. For me, the charm, nostalgia, and unique style easily make up…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →🟢 THE GREEN ARMY MARCHES AGAIN 🟢 Recommended After more than two decades, Army Men RTS proves that some battles never truly end. I first played this game when I was younger, and coming back to it years later brought back memories I honestly thought were buried somewhere in my childhood gaming history. Building bases. Collecting plastic resources. Commanding tiny soldiers. Fighting the Tan Army. It was never just another RTS game. For many of us, this was childhood. And…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game simply DOES NOT WORK! There are so many fixes I have tried and every single one has failed. DO NOT RESPECT THE "lmao sound like a u problem" comments they do NOT understand extremely basic logic. If the game is sold on Steam, it should just work (and maybe sometimes needing a simple fix). I understand its an older game that utilizes older software, but WHY sell it on Steam in a completely broken state? DO NOT BUY!
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Still works on windows 11, unmodded. Fun game, goofy humour and references throughout. Is it the best rts ever made? No. Is it a fun bit of nostalgia that looks pretty good, plays weel enough, and has some substance to it? You betcha
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →HES GONE TAN! And he took his soldiers with him.... those who didn't turn were melted down for scrap. Still loving this game close to 2 decades later.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →i bought this game but every time i open it to play, all i see is a grey screen and i cant see anything. i can click around and hear the audio but the entire screen is grey. im playing this on my laptop (no issues running other games) can someone help me fix this
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game has a lot of issues working on modern hardware. Download the Compatibility Patch on Pcgamingwiki, this fixed it for me.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I grew up playing this game on gamecube and i can always go back to it, i love it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Spent many hours of my childhood here fighting the Tan army on my PS2. This game and command and conquer made me fall in love with strategy games as a whole and would lead me to play even more great games such as Company of heroes and Star wars empire at war.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It is bad but So, old, so good. It really is a terrible game but it is a joy of the past, a memory reforged. I enjoyed every second of replaying part of my childhood.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Unfortunately even though I remember the game fondly, it doesn't seem to work with newer hardware. Textures don't load, there's flickering, the main menu is just a grey screen, etc. So unless you can somehow get this game to work, I don't recommend it. And yes, I did try tinkering with the files.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a simple and nostalgic strategy game, which offers enough variety to keep things interesting.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Beware if you have Windows 11. I can't for the life of me get this game to load and I don't have the time and am not knowledgeable enough to try and implement and try every single fix. Looks great if you can get it to run, always loved the Army Men games.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This port is pretty ♥♥♥♥ Also TOS is kind of ♥♥♥♥♥♥. There are other means of playing this game that are better and cut out the garbage.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →57 mins on Steam, but 100s of hours from before Steam. Might be retro, but it's STILL fun as hell.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game does not run out of the box. I was really looking foward to just jumping it and giving it a try (I think I rented the original at blockbuster for the PS1) and love C&C style games. I have many games, on steam, and they work. This one load a black screen and I can see the loading icon but the resolution is way off or something and it never loads. I don't really want to mess with extra settings like Windows XP compatibility settings. I am burn out on that kind of stuff from back…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Army Men RTS represents a fascinating moment in early-2000s strategy design, when Pandemic Studios took the long-running Army Men franchise and translated its toy-soldier concept into a fully fledged real-time strategy experience. Rather than focusing on the third-person action that defined many earlier entries, this game shifts perspective to a top-down command structure, putting players in control of the Green Army as they wage plastic warfare against the Tan forces. What immediately sets it…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →MOVE IT, MOVE IT, MOVE IT! GET THIS GAME IN YOUR LIBRARY SOLDIER! So many quotable lines, iconic maps, and interesting levels I think about daily since I played in 2002. Still holds up
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →WISH there was more army men games on steam but this one is really fun
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →When I first came across this game, I was already sent to a nostalgia trip This game on Steam is a near carbon copy of the original, only exception being it doesn't have the Special Operations which honestly? Perfectly fine. It has all the mechanics you could ever expect out of a RTS game, foot-soldiers, aerial and vehicles, buildings that can be upgraded a couple of times, pathing that was good for the time it was released and bonus objectives which simply unlock more battles to play- oh…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game takes me back to the GAMECUBE era when nintendo was peak. Still as fun as I remember and it works perfectly fine on windows 11 if you go and download the compatibility patch that is mentioned throughout the community/reviews columns.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →bro I have no idea what I’m doing I’m out here commanding tiny plastic soldiers across a kitchen table like it’s the Normandy landings and my toaster PC is already crying. The game runs at like 18 fps of pure childhood nostalgia while the fans sound like they’re about to take off. I’m a nerd. I read the tooltips. I still accidentally delete my own base. “Sarge, we need more plastic!” Bro I don’t even know where the plastic is. I’m just clicking green men and hoping. This game is literally about…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun to play. It was my one of my childhood video game. I was just came back to this game to beat the game because it fills hard to beat went i was a kid.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →my first ever rts i played on gamecube when i was a kid. great pc port
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →nice one, old memories
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Did not age well. Poor controls and bad pathing. You'll fight the game more than you'll fight the Tan Army. But there's only a handful of Army Men games on Steam, so enjoy. Green Army forever.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun to play game. Main character are very interesting. Have kinda toy story vibes.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →When I was about 5 y.o., my dad first showed me this game. I remember playing it with my brother and dad over our local network. It was such a great addition to my collection of real soldier and military toys. I had so much fun playing it. Despite the nostalgic&warm memories I have from childhood, it is still a good game with many interesting missions and battles. And of course, you can have fun playing it with your friends (if you have any 😢); up to 8 people against each other. So, I would…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →One of the best game +20 years ago now its just ok....nostalgia nothing else
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun little game. Spent many many hours playing this when I was younger and so delighted it has made its way to steam. Never ceases to be old playing on familiar environments from a different view, battling the tan army from the kitchen sink to the front room. The only issue I have is that the pathfinding for units is quite tricky and can be a bit frustrating. Everything the game has to offer outweighs this though. Give it a try!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →no fiddleing, no fussing, it just worked. which is surprising, i wish more of the classic 3DO games were available. the combo pack is worth it onsale if you've got nostalgia for the series. otherwise, you're not missing much for a early 2000s RTS aimed at kids, it's basic but its enjoyable.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Do not press the 'J' key, worst mistake of my life
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →i love army men R.T.S but the 78 mins i have played in this game is trying to get the game visuals to load instead of just the audio...
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It has limited Maps, objects, and Skirmishs else 10/10.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →peak i love this game so much
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →An Nostalgic RTS Gem, genuinely Entertaining Pros Cons 🎮 Gameplay is simple yet engaging enough, newcomers can easily grasp the fundamentals and controls ❌ AI pathing is an issue since it cannot follow the correct path, especially when in tight spot of the map 🗺️ Charming setting & environment 🖥️ Aged system that do not have variety of system such as Higher Resolution, Graphic options, etc. Multiplayer is practically non-existence even with…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I bought this on my Alienware and it would not play but I've since bought a Steamdeck and re-bought it and it works wonderfully. Brings back many memories. I wished they had made a sequel.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →One of the coolest concepts and best executions for any RTS ever. They don't make 'em like this no mo'
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →An absolute classic from my childhood. I've probably beat this game 10x or so in my life.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great RTS game! While I am speaking through rose tinted glasses of nostalgia the game still stands the test of time. Of course there are issues, like unit movement, units getting stuck etc. but that's just part of the charm. I found myself replaying all missions to get gold medals, and just prolonging the enjoyment. There are some mods that add extra campaigns and removed content from PS2 and other platforms so there is a relative abundance of content. All graphical issues you may have can be…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →*crashes a lot *doesn't start sometimes *jank as hell controls 10/10 for realism, just like the early 2000's
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →good for a old rts game and the way you play is just somnthing difrent
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Yeah, good enough for retro gamers, controlls are tanky.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A huge nostalgia hit for me from my GameCube days! It’s very goofy and fun it is a perfect entry into the RTS genre it is pretty basic compared to other RTS games! However the bad it is very finicky to launch the game sometimes it fires up right away sometimes I have to attempt to launch the game 12+ times to get it to work a total pain in the tan plastic tuchus 6/10
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It launched fine a few times and no longer loads. Windows 11 64 bit - dead It was fun for the few times I played it... and beings it was less than $2... I didn't lose much. Avoid it!
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Loved this game growing up it was a lot of fun. I sadly wouldn't recommend getting it anymore as it no longer works for some such as me. I recently got a new laptop and now the game won't even open or function anymore
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A fun Retro RTS that brings youre childhood alive with army men the boys war toy come to life. It has aged oki not quite modern rts but it is enoph to be happy with if you can forgive it age it a fun time. with barley any rts type games being made lately you will be happy with this. I highly recommend this if you love retro rts game or even army men.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →WARNING: I don't recommend unless....you are in a similar situation as I am. I do recommend the game if this is you, and I fall into this category. So I would recommend the game for myself, but not for everyone. This is an old 2002 game, so it was never designed for new hardware and OS versions. If you played and are looking for the nostalgia it is worth it on sale for the 75% off amount. But you have to be willing to do some work to get it to work on newer OS systems. I had the old CD…
