Enjoyable, a likeable lead & some fun moments. It retreads a lot of familiar ground & could fit into the World War Z movie.
unlabelledView post →Apocalypse Z: The Beginning of the End is really good! Simple but not simplistic zombie movie that takes place in Spain. Really liked the main who goes from disinterested, to curious, to shocked, to desperate. Best zombie flick since Train to Busan. 7.5/10 #moviesky #horrormovies #zombies

unlabelledView post →Apocalypse Z: is a decent zombie film from Spain. Doesn’t do anything new but I was absolutely invested in the cat. In Nothing But the Night the last 20 minutes are kinda bonkers, but unfortunately the rest is pretty mundane. Still a delight any time Peter Cushing & Christopher Lee are together.

unlabelledView post →It doesn't tread new ground but "Apocalypse Z: The Beginning of the End" (Prime) is a good enough rage-zombie film, set on Spain's Mediterranean coast (w/motorbike & motorboat action), which is a nice touch. Of course I liked the cat even though it had nothing active to do in the plot.
unlabelledView post →We're watching "Apocalypse Z", a Spanish zombie movie about a man and his cat trying to survive. It's so good, but also intense and emotional. Kind of a combination of covid isolationism and zombie pandemic. Torren had to turn away. 🤣 #ApocalypseZ

unlabelledView post →I’m watching Apocalypse Z The a beginning of the End, it’s a Spanish zombie movie. It’s very dark, hard for my old(er) eyes to see lol, but the description said it had a feisty cat in the movie so I’m here for that 🤣

unlabelledView post →In spite of a exciting trailer Apocalypse Z fails to deliver. Perhaps the most immediately noticeable negative is the tiresome need to play politics. An anti-Russian sentiment is front and centre, throughout a large chunk of this film. Looking beyond this, it takes far too long for what is essentially an action movie, akin to say "World War Z", to get off the ground. This film drags, at times, with sporadic moments of action, that never really amount to anything satisfying. In summary, if more…
