negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I just tried TopSpin 2k25 on PS5 and ohff it sux! So much we have here is missing! Barely pros and no option to download any. Pay real money for clothes. No complaining to the ref and the gameplay is mehh. This game is the way to go. I very rarely find a Sports game i spend more than 20 hours. And here i spent almost 50 so far i think. And im not the biggest tennis fan. This game is fire!!!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I don't get why it has mixed reviews, it's the best "casual" tennis game. And when i say casual it's not to say it's easy, i play on one of the hardest difficulties and it's pretty challenging, i say casual cause it's not simulation, and as a real tennis player i'm really ok with it, if i want tennis simulation, i go do it in real life, it's pretty accessible sport, i have a tennis club next to my house and every summer we take a court for 2 hours with 3 friends times to times and we have to…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game got released and dumped. Don't buy it, it's a money grab.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Old but still decent, super basic graphics, not much to say... generally speaking, its an okay game overall.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →After about 18 hours playing this game, I give AO2 a thumbs-up recommendation provisionally. Since the good outweighs the bad, I can recommend it as a decent buy, if you want to play a tennis game with decent gameplay and a good career mode. However, there are a number of drawbacks, and also several pretty glaring bugs, for a game that has been out for 3 years. I have now played for 2x as long (39 hours), and I wish to update some of my review. See below. The Good Visuals - I find the…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Having played many tennis games like top spin, virtua tennis, tennis elbow, dream match tennis etc. I have to say, that AO tennis may look good, but the ball physics and gameplay wise it's the worst of them all! I didn't expect it to be that bad, but the way you can't judge the height and speed of the ball and also how the movement of the player is so glitchy and often he just runs in wrong direction and misses the ball is just pathetic. I have tried rushing the net, I have tried standing back,…

unlabelledView post →Requires internet connection to play. Does not support 16:10 Aspect Ratio.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →1. Ball doesn't go where you tell it to. I keep the ball marker inbounds, and yet it randomly decides to go out of bounds at times. 2. Ball just passes by the player, with the player doing nothing about it. This is just poor coding and testing.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A fun and realistic game, very beautiful and very accessible. Gameplay: The difficulty can be adapted to suit your tastes: you can play very arcade tennis, as you remember from Tennis elbow 4, or you can play in simulation mode. In simulation mode, the level of the AIs is very poorly regulated: either they're all Nadal, or you can beat Nadal with your eyes closed. The variety of possible hits is perfect, and the progression of the player in career mode is perfect, neither too long nor too…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I really wanted to love this game. But the issue is that it's frickin impossible to win anything in career mode when you first start. I don't want to place the ball exactly somewhere, just general area, away from the player, but the aiming cursor is so flippin slow that I can't aim anywhere. Also I don't control my character if i want to control the shot? Just simplify it then. The developers went for too much and it didn't pay off. I don't want to hate the game until I learn to play, I'd…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Not the perfect tennis game but i'll take it. This is my first Tennis Game on PC (i have plan to buy TieBreak and TopSpin 2K25 after this). Graphics : 6.5 Gameplay Mechanic : 6.5 Customization : 7 Career Mode : 7 Character Selection : 6.5 (due to outdated official players but kudos to community creator on this one)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →For those of you who missed out on getting Virtua Tennis 4 (since it was delisted), this is the game to get. However, if you still want to play VT4, you can also download the game and updates for it here: https://www.myabandonware.com/game/virtua-tennis-4-r0g
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Unlike many modern tennis games, AO Tennis tried hard to be good and enjoyable. Did he achieve that? Kind of... Overall the strong element of this game is the community content, where you can download players (the ones that don't come with the game like Roger or Djoko) and download brand logos. It allows for some of the best customization for your career mode. The main problem is how your opponents play especially in high-difficulty modes. With the Rookie difficulty you can always…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is the worst tennis game I've ever played. No mark where the ball falls, awuful timing mechanic that is absolutely random, difficulty barely affects CPU opponents and poor performance. Stay away from this game.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →🎾 AO Tennis 2 Review: A Smash or a Miss? AO Tennis 2 serves up a decent tennis experience, but it’s not without its faults. Let’s break it down! 🎮Gameplay: The gameplay mechanics are decent but can feel a bit clunky. 🎯 Timing your shots is crucial, but sometimes it feels inconsistent, making rallies less satisfying than they should be. Still, the challenge keeps you hooked once you get the hang of it! 👍 🎨 Graphics: The visuals are a mixed bag. While the courts and lighting…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The best tennis game out there. 9/10. It feels surprisingly close to the Australian Open, which is a massive W. One last thing: Novak Djokovic is the GOAT. 🐐
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you're thinking of getting this or the new 2K tennis game, get this. 2k couldn't make a sports game to save their lives.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The controls are really hard to get used to, but once you got that covered the game is really enjoyable. I love the sponsors, financial and management aspect of the game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The main "timing reticule" mechanic is inconsistent, janky, and never properly explained in tutorials. Movement is clunky and your player gets stuck in an animation lock frequently. Net play is made practically impossible due to the jankiness of the animations and general gameplay. There are some good ideas like the challenge system and interactions between points, but these are far outweighed by the frustrating mess that is the core gameplay.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a good game, had fun playing it even if I have played only for a short time. You can learn the controls easily. I figured out how to aim return shots in 20 - 30 mins.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The base game has limited licenses but features incredibly deep customisation options supported by a very active and very thorough community. The career mode is especially fun with a full customised, real players roster and events schedule. The gameplay itself is very well made but unfortunately extremely precise and sensitive forcing you to focus on a small timing indicator and aiming dot instead of allowing a free flowing tennis experience. Still the best, most complete tennis game on…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Ive been playing this game for the past 2 weeks got it on sale and i tell u something i am having loads of fun. Have in mind i barely knew tennis before and had to learn my way through it and i believe this game is ideal for that. It has many flaws... NOT a perfect game by any means... But i really think people underestimate it. Pros: - It has a super cool customization system where ive found myself for multiple hours without even noticing trying to recreate the real life venues and players. -…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you like the gameplay of Virtua Tennis and Mario Tennis (of old), then... you will be sorely disappointed by AO Tennis 2. Gameplay and movement are quite sluggish by comparison. I can never just jump into this and have a quick match for fun. If you're in it for the simulation experience of bringing a no-name up through the ranks of the tennis world, maybe this is for you. Or if you like having to have super precise timing to hit balls because if you don't do it exactly right, your character…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I wouldn't get this over games like Topspin 2k25. If this is on a decent sale and costs less than Topspin, absolutely get this if you want, but while Topspin 2k25 is only A$30 or A$45 for the deluxe edition at full price there's no reason to still get AO Tennis 2 in 2026. The roster isn't up to date anymore and it doesn't have the same quality both gameplay and visually as what Topspin has.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you are a tennis fan, you might somewhat enjoy playing this with friends. Unfortunately you do spend more time trying to move your clueless avatar so that 5 mph balls don't slowly bounce past you (reminds me of FIFA 2002 where you could score from half field cause of same issue with goal keeper movements). It's hard to have good rallies because of this and I find myself abusing the net play to get the AI to screw up rather then go for normal shots and wait for my avatar to do something…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Best Tennis game out here so far. I've tried Tennis World Tour on console but this one really scratches the itch for me.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very stiff and unresponsive.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →pretty realistic game
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Up until now, there have been no perfect tennis games. While AO Tennis 2 is far from flawless, it emerges as a solid title, arguably the most complete to date. In numerous aspects, it reminds some old titles from the FIFA franchise. Graphics, menus, game modes, soundtrack, and even the font used in various competitions within the career mode give off those FIFA vibes, just transposed onto the tennis court. As many have already pointed out, the gameplay can be unforgiving, especially when…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game offers no way of changing the controller configuration! Are you tf serious???
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →1. the AI somehow always able to hit a shot in awkward position with a flat shot speed and crazy angles 2. shot timing mechanism is too inconsistent that it is barely enjoyable in higher levels. I cannot figure out how to time a groundstroke consistently. In this context of timing, the impossible shot must be the volley. I always dump it to the net (while there is literally no gap between my player and the net ) 3. doubles are barely playable due to the AI is probably not suited to play…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I'm don't know an awful lot about tennis, but I know a thing or two about video games and this is an awful video game. The movement is sluggish and the various strikes and serves are completely drunken. The crowds are bizarre and uncanny, and the camera will often pan to allow the audience a full frontal of these entities. The animations are totally broken, and will repeat several times per game. Overall, it's boring, tedious and drawn out to the point of torture - so I suppose they did…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →first of all I've played many tennis games including different versions of virtua tennis and top spin. The game mechanics and game play are ridiculous. You have opponents that are very low tier and hit perfect difficult shots like Federer and don't make any mistakes. Character you control has to struggle to hit good shots. Could you get better with practice ? Maybe. But still, the game is very frustrating and not enjoyable to play. I played career mode and single player tournament with…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Messy, awkward and somehow I wanted to like it. When it works, it almost feels like real tennis: tactics, rhythm, brain required; when it doesn’t, players move like malfunctioning mannequins, the AI forgets how tennis works and the menus look like a beta that escaped containment. The only reason it stays alive is the community, carrying the game on its back with custom players, stadiums and content the base version should have handled better. It’s not polished, it’s not elegant and whatever…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The controls are just atrocious. The character customization is pretty good though. And I like that they have futures events and rankings that go up to top 1000. But the gameplay just makes it unplayable.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Good Game. I Enjoy it but your not me so you have different thoughts on game soooooo am i the one to take advice from?
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →it's tennis. the simulation is pretty cool, the graphics are good for me, the point transitions are very accurate, as well as player reactions (which you can choose). Again, it's tennis, and it's pretty good.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is fun and has good graphics. Sometimes, the character's animation is a bit wacky making you not hit the ball at all. So it can be frustrating at times when that happens. Overall, it's a fun challenging game where you can see yourself moving up in difficulty as you become better. Career mode is solid, with your championship pictures being hung on the wall. I recommend using different outfits for tournaments for photo variety, lol.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Not sure what happened.. Game kept going into black screen while i was playing..
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Not a fun game. There is no consistency. The controls are clunky and the character only reacts to your inputs half the time. This is what happens when there is no competition in the genre. We need Virtua Tennis back.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →For the casual game player, this game is lots of fun...easy to play but hard to master. Playing this as well as Full Ace Tennis Simulation and Tennis Elbow 4. All great games and much better than the New games out there.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Love this game, thanks boosteroid of allowing it on Apple!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I was hoping the consensus might be wrong and there could be a good tennis game hidden somewhere in here, but it turns out everyone was right–this game just isn't very good. Gameplay is a built around a risk-reward system of power and placement. A perfectly placed power shot can often win the point, but if mistimed, the ball will go out. This makes sense in theory, but is frustrating in practice due to how small and sometimes unpredictable the timing window can be. The result is more unforced…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A deep sale purchase, so a thumb up for that reason. It doesn't play or look like a modern game, but it's good for a few minutes now and again. There were better tennis games on the PS3, so don't expect much.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I don't like this game idea, timing is so important, timing takes a very big deal, I don't like this, i can't enjoy this game by this way... I Think "Top Spin 3" by 2K is still the best and enjuoyable tennis game so far
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Played on PC and PS4/5. As someone who plays tennis irl, this is the only game I've tried that really nails the feel of the timing and movement around the court. The game is significantly limited by poor optimization (with frequent frame rate drops) and bugs (sometimes your player will just decide not to hit a groundstroke even when you timed your backswing fine), so I have to recommend it with reservations. However it's the best most sim-like option out there.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The controls are awful and half the tennis players are not in the game.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →AO Tennis 2 approaches professional tennis with an emphasis on player freedom, customization, and long-term career development. Developed by Big Ant Studios and published by Nacon, it aims to provide a simulation-oriented experience without making the sport unnecessarily difficult to understand. Its combination of competitive matches, professional players, extensive creation tools, and community content gives it more longevity than a straightforward collection of tennis tournaments. The…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Good tennis, although there are a small number of tennis players, convenient management, and the atmosphere of the match is present. It may well take a couple of evenings.
