The faction units/building/upgrades/abilities are too similar, and the fighting is just locking your army in a fight and spam your stat buffs until one of someone dies or retreats. And while the campaigns can put you in very interesting scenarios, they too, tend to drag on because of the gameplay. I found myself getting bored fast, which is a shame, because I was genuinely impressed with its overall presentation.

It's also mentally draining, so I needed a break after some chapters. Mostly played campaign and Skirmish, didn't touch multiplayer. Biggest gripe I have with it thus far, has been when units engage in combat you cant pull them back out to then have them attack a new unit. Which is realistic of commanding troops in actual battle but feels off from how most RTS games play.
