Amazing Cultivation Simulator I think you'll either love me or hate me for introducing you to this game, it's been compared to Rimworld with a Chinese Mythology spin, it's a real neat game that you can sink a lot of time into if you're not careful. store.steampowered.com/app/955900/A...
unlabelledView post →It's difficult to recommend this not because I think it's too complex, too niche, or bad, but because I think it's very hard to describe why it's fun. The equivalent of Rimworld raids are never a threat, the resource management in terms of sustainability is super easy, and a fair bit of the gameplay is fast forwarding as inner disciples just cultivate. You know fast forwarding in Rimworld while somebody just researches, since we're on that topic? It's like that. But there's so much going on, so…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Spent two in-game years building up the sect only for one of the disciples on adventure to get into a scuffle with another sect, die, and the other sect still sent a hitsquad that destroyed my sect. 10/10 Xianxia experience, fully accurate simulator

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →SsethTheentach made a video about this and I feel, that explains this game and it's fascination best. Just continue to watch that vid on YT :P I can 100% confirm, that this game is exactly what and how he says it is.....
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game will change your life if you let it. I wish I could say that you could go in blind, but you really can't if you're an English speaker. There are a ton of different kinds of cultivation with different rules, and the game doesn't hold your hand through any of it. You will fail; your sect will die many times before you grasp the best ways to ensure their survival. And you will want them to survive, because they are are adorable Chinese chibi-humans striving for immortality. They need…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Amazing Cultivation Simulator takes you on a wonderful journey of micromanaging a mostly daoist sect of babies that will die of fright if the door of their room faces the wrong direction or someone drops a relic on the floor. You will interact with humans, monsters, bosses, and visitors from other sects who will give you a 1 star rating despite being assigned the nicest room in the sect, because they decided to stand next to a cowpat. You are supposed to eventually kill the other sects. I never…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I've never finished this game, I get bored after getting a few GC1 cultivators and just stop playing. But it seems like it's probably a good game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →the wiki alone has so much depth that studying it would enable you to start gathering qi irl
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Recommended, because this game delivers what it promises: A RimWorld-like base game, overlaid with all the classic xianxia tropes: cultivation, warring sects, inner and outer disciples, manuals describing powerful techniques, and popular Daoist-inspired mysticism. The RimWorld-like portions of the game are a bit basic. The work priority system is limited to "on" and "off", and you can't say "make timber from logs whenever I have less than 30 timber". But unlike some RimWorld knockoffs, you do…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very deep mechanics, read guides unless you want to go 10,000 hours in before knowing what you're doing.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →played for 300 hours needed 100 to figure out broadly what i was doing then read another 20 pages of pdf documents to actually figure out what i am doing and now i m ready to complete the tutorial.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Ok first off I like this game. But, because there is a but coming... The game's UI is honestly the weakest point. Some of the UI elements are confusing to read, and the systems are in some areas needlessly complicated. Complexity is a good thing, however there comes to be a point where complexity is messy. It is ok for players to feel frustrated but there just isn't enough in-game information for some of these things. When I play a game I shouldn't have to hop on forums and sift through hours…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is for the DERANGED min-maxers out there. Expect 1/3rd of your hours in playtime to be reading the wiki on how to play this game. It's truly ludicrous. The game being janky honestly just fits in line with the nonsensical theme of this fever dream as well. I'm 103 hours in as of now, going slow and reading everything and I'm still considered to be early game-ish. I still get pop up tutorials for new random game mechanics I stumble across. I see myself getting around 500 hours in this…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Its cool, but my problem is that I came into this with the idea of this being varied like Rimworld. While it is varied, There's too much that stays stagnant between colonies. All maps are the same, they contain the same stuff every time, and there's set things that happen on set days. I'm just not getting that same "experiencing something other people don't" that I do from Rimworld. The disciples aren't as exciting to read about and while it is realistically a skill issue, I had so much…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Not very many games suck you in like this one did for me. The depth is insane and you need to study the dao to even comprehend a sliver of its glory. No but seriously get ready to study a metric fk ton if you want to understand this game. Some people have made awesome guides but this is not something you just jump into and expect to go smoothly. When it clicks though it is magical. They should have never moved on from working on it. One of those games that you think about all day until you can…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →There's a sick beauty in the mystery of this game. At first your walking blind. The tutorial does nothing. Yet is required, and can be a 45 minute learning process. With almost 900 hours in this clunky masterpiece. I feel like I can say if you want a game with depth. This is the peak of it. I have never seen a game covering itself in such ambiguity. Esoteric by nature. After reading pages and pages of walkthroughs just to know how to grow a tree (it was a really important tree tbf). I have…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →tl;dr play this if dwarf fortress isn't confusing enough for you (: - underrated standout of the "colony management/simulator" genre; if you're experienced with those and find them easy, you should definitely try this. there are a few slightly annoying mechanics (some with mods, if you don't feel like dealing with them) but easy to ignore for all the impressive stuff the game DOES manage to do, to an exceptional level of detail. there are several guides ranging from detailed manuals, to just…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Can entertain for a few hundred hours, but isn't worth the stress of having to keep track of so many things at once and over 10 wikipedia pages bookmarked. Game has little action; 99% of the time is spent preparing. Recommending due to the cost-effectiveness.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →After 4 restarts, I finally think I have the hang of this game... probably. Maybe not. There's still a very real chance I'll have to restart again. 😅 Oh, and the best part? It runs on my work PC, so that's even better.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →We must cultivate, senior and elder brothers. Let's ascend together and rebuild our sect.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →First run: I ordered my sect leader to ingest a pill that was supposed to increase her max Qi… and she died. 10/10, will try again. 9 hours gone. Second run, another 38 hours later: I told my sect leader to learn every skill that increases max Qi. I did — and now he’s a eunuch. Took me a few in-game days to realize some of those skills were for women only. Didn’t save manually, so yeah… time for another run. Third run, 54 hours in: It seemed like I was finally getting the hang of the game.…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →900 hours later, I'm apparently still not done with this game. When I first played Amazing Cultivation Simulator, I had absolutely no idea what I was doing. The game is enormous, complicated, unforgiving, and seems determined to let you discover important mechanics after you play for hundreds hours. I also quickly discovered that I was probably playing it wrong. ACS wants me to manage a cultivation sect. I want to create specific main characters, give them backgrounds, relationships…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I am an immigrant with many problems, I had so many troubled relationships; cheaters, liars, abusers etc. I am also suffering clinical depression This game is the most painful experience I`ve ever had. 10/10 Happy to suffer tribulations for my Yaoguai again. Release the second game already!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I want to like this game, I really do. It's deep with many mechanics, and some of them are genuinely interesting. The problem though is twofold: 1. It does terrible job explaining all of them. Basic tutorial barely covers anything and you'll be left stumbling around unless you want to read guides online (which btw often also don't explain things that well). 2. Clunky UI. Whether you're exploring, building or cultivating. UI keeps fighting against you, not presenting information you need, yet…

I remember that during the American Elections, news outlet thought that because of the Chinese New Year, they should ask a Feng Shui "master" who would win elections and Donald Trump allegedly has strong Earth Feng Shui, and I quote "already supported with a lot of Fire" while Biden was weak to fire because he had strong Wood Feng Shui Anyways he was completely wrong in everything he said to no one's avail this is just mysticism and…

This game makes you read a wiki that is so well maintained and curated that it is actually horrifying. Its a great game that will eat your time and filter you at the first boss fight (♥♥♥♥ you flood dragon)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A flood dragon landed on my Nvidia factory. I am ruined.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Only 1/5th the players have the achievement to "Establish a sect", this game is great to feel great for being better than other players but then bad for having to google every other thing. I have had tabs open for the game wiki ever since I installed it and I can't close them because I still need them. Number goes up, very nice. Saving takes a while sometimes even with the fast save but its the only technical issue I have had, very light weight game with hours of gameplay.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A truly enjoyable Life sim filled with tons of nifty mechanics, alas I had to stop after getting the achievement "Time to sleep not cultivate" Not my proudest moment, but a great game!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is by far the most complex game I’ve ever played. Even after 100+ hours, I still don’t fully understand it and haven’t managed to finish a single save. I’ve played other complex games like Stellaris, Crusader Kings, and RimWorld, and I could grasp those within a few days, but this one is on another level. It stands out with its incredibly rich wuxia world and depth. If you’re looking for a game where you can build and manage a highly detailed sect—and especially if you enjoy martial arts…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →My favorite part of ACS is that all the mods are strictly written in chinese
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very complicated game Amazing to learn and play tho. I am still obsessed and trying to learn slowly things I do not yet understand... Playing 100h is not even enough to see tip of the iceberg You either are sweating and reading tens of guides and some obscure knowledge or mess up everything like Me and try to learn by Yourself (after seeing some tutorial series on YT what took 15h XD) Thing is. Eventually u will have to read those boring Excel files, but I prefer to do It after I test all…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Basically Rimworld with a cultivation mythology overhaul. I didnt care much for Rimworld but the mythos was enough to engage me. Pros: Its a game that can be both active and passive, you can sit up and be fully engaged microing everything, or you can play more passively, set things up and leave it running in the background while you do other things, just looking over when a notification pops up It is honestly incredibly indepth on how far it goes down the cultivation development. Cons:…
