It would be a very hard game if not the fact that there is no death penalty and every battle can be repeated as many times as needed. The story and characters aren't particularly interesting and quite simple. The ingame (not battle) character animation is funny in jumpy-jittery way, it grown on me with time for some reason and I find it hilarious now. The characters are partly voiced (Japanese only), the important dialogs and combat, most…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Enjoying it so far, would recommend for fans of genre. Pros: - detailed, colorful gfx that looks decent even at 1920x1080 - japanese speech (key events only) - pleasant, elegant music - turnbased battles, in 3D - mix of fantasy and scifi - can be controlled completely using the mouse Cons: - currently no gamepad support
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I have to admit when it comes to a computer game or video game for that matter, it really takes a good game to engage lengthy sitdown times to keep being interested in this game. I'm happy to say that even though this game is a port of a mobile phone game it's high quality and has some good resolution and graphics. The play mechanics are solid with the keyboard / mouse and the dialog has charm to it. Japanese Voice Overs are there as well. The big deal breaker and I won't give it a thumbs down…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Apparently the writers for this game did not actually want to write the story for a fantasy rpg. They wanted to write about a love triangle and are clearly obsessed with writing about how teenagers acts in love triangles. The game is 90% dialog about this stupid love triangle. The other 10% is the story to Blade Runner. So unless you just absolutely love reading about how someone isn't sure of their feelings for another and how they're not sure if they should tell their feelings to the…

Overall Rating - Painfully Bad ★☆☆☆☆ First Impressions From the solid reviews and playtimes of those who liked Alphadia Genesis (AG), I had healthy expectations for this RPG. However, after playing for almost 30 hours, I have an alternative title in mind: Alphadia Generic (AG). If I were…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →First impression: exactly what I want. Do you like JRPGs? Do you like the '90 2D and 3D of PSX era? Do you like simple charset animations and voices such us on Lunar series? Well, then pick this game. If you see a sale, bought it. This is the first entry of Kemco's games, and deserve to be on your library if do you like JRPG's. Oh boy, January 2015 has started and I think my wallet will cry if more games such as this comes to Steam :D
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Nearing the end of the game, I have decided to change my review to "not recommended". To simplify my review, I'll just seperate it into Pros/Cons: PROS ------------ + Classic JRPG style, cool 3D combat system + 10+ hours of gameplay CONS ------------ - Unbalanced combat/leveling system (too easy at the beginning, too difficult at the end) - Game is definitely not worth the price tag ($9.99 USD) - Party members leave/rejoin the party randomly and take your best gear with them if equipped -…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Finally Kemco's fun mobile JRPGs make their way onto Steam. While I am sad that there is no controller support, and that Symphony of Eternity wasn't the game that was released, I am excited about seeing more Kemco JRPGs on here in the future.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It been a long time that i had play a classic jrpg. I had clocked nearly 20 hours into the game and finally clear it and what surprise me is that only is normal ending? lol what? There is an instruction and told you after the credits roll and load the clear save data and continue the final boss again but this time with a straight forward choice that unlock the post game content or might be the route to true ending? Kemco really did a nice job in this game as there is various event that…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Alphaida Genesis is what I would describe as an entry level JRPG. It's quite simple and does not try to innovate much, but rather it sticks to the basics and does it in a very approachable way. This game was originally a mobile phone game, but were it not for some UI elements, it would hardly be noticeable. The port from phone to PC is surprisingly good, with one exception: You can't use a gamepad for this game. Graphics & Sound Alphaida Genesis has 2 very different looks to it, depending on…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →While the gameplay at time can seem a bit simple, I definately enjoy the story as well as the character developement! I believe its story and character developement that are main components of a successful RPG anyway. d(^.^)b two thumbs up!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I’ve been a gamer most of my life, ever since the Atari was up on the shelves and Pac-Man was all the rage, I’ve seen all the fads, VHS video game systems (VHS for those of you who don’t know were like the original DVD’s, and for those really young people Blu-Ray’s and for those who are crawling around in Diapers 4K HD blu rays or something) I’ve lived through the Nintendo strangle hold onto the bright shining beacon that fought against Nintendo in the Sega Genesis. Upwards and onwards into…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Nothing special when compared to other JRPGs, but still fun. Nothing special compared to other JRPGs, but it as an interesting combat system that utilizes all your party members (even those not actively in combat). All in all, a cute little JRPG, that has great character art and an interesting story.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Looks and plays great on pc. Good old school turn base rpg. Hope Kemco brings all there great titles to pc. Gamepad controller option would make it a better fit for console players.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →a great old school jrpg.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I really wish steam had a middle rating, its not a bad game, I actually found it quite entertaining. However there is nothing new here, its a very basic collect the macguffins so they dont destroy the world story that has been done a dozen times over in final fantasy and the like. Still its not a bad game and if you just want a simple retro final fantasy styled rpg then its fine.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Big fan of JRPG's, but not when they have this much text and forced story to tolerate. I think there was about 2 minutes of battle in the first hour of gameplay.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I finished this game today and here's what I think about it Pros -Great Storyline -Great Voiceacting when it's around -Game can be controlled using the keyboard & the mouse Cons - The romance (really makes me wants to slap the main character for his derpness)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I have mixed feelings about this game... The characters (2D sprites) having only 2 frames is just plain weird. The battles are ok but the animations are really limited. For this price tag, I'm a little disappointed and wouldn't recommend the game for everyone. Only for people who don't mind "RPG makers" type jrpg's (with original voices, that's a good point) and don't care about what it looks at all. But imo, Final Fantasy IV sprites on the snes look wat better .. :/
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Although this is the best KEMCO published RPG I think I've played, it's still forgettable and standard. The 3D battles are a step above most of the games in their catalog, but the characters and story don't stand out among other much better JRPGs now available on Steam.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →What attracted me to this game first - was the 3D battle. I enjoy anything RPG and this one makes you love grinding. Sometimes I can just sit there and stare at the effects of magic. It is also funny and very greatly animated and drawn (meaning the characters and other things). Lots of effort went into this and it is worth the money for certain. I would love to play more of the games (if released). Thank you very much for making this game. :D! Replayed the game a second time: Still…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a mobile port that really feels like one. The scrolling when you walk is jittery as all ♥♥♥♥; it's a throwback to the early emulator days in the 90's (not a good thing.) I even found myself tapping the walk button instead of holding it down so my eyes wouldn't bleed. The story starts off interesting, in a Phantasy Star kind of way, but I lost interest, not in the story really, but in the combat. The first quarter of the game, on Normal, you only need to auto-battle. There is one…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I was originally going to mark this as "Recommended" (with caveats), but the more I thought about it, the more my experience leaned toward "Not Recommended" (again, with caveats). This game has some fun moments, but taken as a whole, it's not really all that good. Here's my impressions: Positives: - A pretty decent story! The romance subplot is laid on a bit too thick, and some parts can be hard to follow, but overall, the story is all right. The type of story it tells reminds me a little of…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A bit of background on me: I'm a gigantic Japanophile and have played nearly every game that EXE-Create has put out, including the Frane series, Vampire Knights, and others. This game is unfortunately not built for PC like the others (mobile port), and is not an action RPG / Ys-meets-Princess-Maker hybrid, but instead a traditional turn-based JRPG. Pros: +Great spritework +Portraits and voice acting +Decent translation plus Japanese language support +Solid, fast, easy-to-comprehend combat…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Hello Friends, Today i will review about the game ALPHADIA GENESIS. Originally, a smart phone game, this game was ported over to PC on steam. A JRPG (Japanese style Role Playing Game) game that has several games in the series, which you can also purchase on steam. The game is good as a JRPG, but it does have some lacking points. The VA's (Voice Acting) is only in Japanese. There is not VA in english. Also, there is one other minor issue. Althogu i have played other rpg's withough controllers…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →First 75 minutes do little to set it apart from any other simplistic JRPG and quirks with the software prevented me from devoting another 20+ hours to it. Comabt was very basic in the beginning. Though there are lots of skills available to you, there doesn't seem to be much need to use any of them to win fights against enemies. Simply spamming the attack button seems to work just fine. The story seems interesting enough tackling some human rights issues and voicing that old sci-fi concern…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Garbage PC port of a garbage mobile game.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I recommend this game but I have to be honest, it was TEDIOUS. This game actually put me off of retro games as well turned based too because of how monotonous it could be and because I had spent my hard earned money on it, I was determined to finish it. In brief, the Positives 1. The storyline was not just generic, there was actually originality and at few times mature scenes, which was welcoming and surprising at the same time as I had not expected that. 2. Characters were a…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →~Cleared on 09/28/2016~ Okay now about for the Review.. Pros : - Got Trading cards - Casual old JRPG good to have fun like the PSX era - Interactive characters interaction for JRPG - Achievements seems possible to complete (oh the Treasure Achievement is kinda hard I only got 205/220 treasure *sigh) Cons : - Voice over is too little (usually only for few sentences even on main event) - Unclear status buff or debuff in this game(Thereis no clue if the buff is spd/atk/mnd) they just put the…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great game, I didn't have high hopes going in but I was pleasently surprised by this title. It has very nice music and good characters for the most part. The combat is nice and the visuals are quite decent all in all a good game I hope to see more from the developer in the future.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game is fine It's a basic rpg if anything. Theres nothing to hard here especially if you abuse the game when you get the upgraded airship to level grind to 99 making the end game really easy. Battles are nothing complexed most of the time you can auto battle your way through most fights though you may want to use a skill or two later in the game. If you want 100% i recomend using the treasure chest guide on here so you don't miss two somewhere like i did I just didn't care enough to…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's mediocre and passable. Attempting to do 100% and all achievements is a very, very boring exercise and I don't recommend doing that at all. Playing thru the entire game didn't even get me to 1000 enemy kills, and this game has an achievement for 2000. Just playing it to play it and see the predictable story? Go nuts and have fun. It's fine. It's cheap. Need something to try that's pretty quick? Here you go. You'll finish in less than 20 hours easy. Wish there was a rating for "Meh"

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A simple but nice and classic turn based RPG, developed by EXE-CREATE and published by KEMKO, the history on the game starts a bit slow but once a couple of hours of progress you'll get hook on it. The English translation ain't the greatest sometimes when you hear the original Japanese voices and you read the subtitles (if you know a bit of Japanese) you'll notice the translations tends to take certain "liberties" adding some extra lines, not sure if this was done for giving a bit more of…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Alphadia Genesis is, like most Kemco RPGs, a standard. run-of-the-mill, JRPG with nothing special to separate it out from the pack but yet in it's refusal to deviate too far from tried-and-tested formulas, it manages to remain a solid experience nonetheless. In short, I've never been so torn with a review anywhere because depending on how I feel at any moment, I could pick 'recommend' or 'not recommend' just as easy... Non-spoiler review to follow... Story: 8/10 You play Fray, a knight…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →At first I was very skeptical about this game - some time ago I tried a Kemco title from Google Play and the game appeared very boring. Alphadia Genesis resembled the game very much - very linear routes and too easy battles. But later I got into the story, which become interesting. Dungeons like labirynths stopped being so linear. Characters appeared very friendly. The way of showing them as pictures with animations of talking, blinking and showing their mood was a good attempt towards a…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I'm an insanely picky person when it comes to games, I spent over three days looking for at least one game I'd like on Steam, and this is the one. I'm a big fan of oldschool style RPG's but they're still lacking these days. But not this one. I'm not too far into this yet but I love it so far. I have absolutely no complains about it except I can't use my Xbox One controller with it, but it doesn't seem like a controller would be any good anyway.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A nice oldschool RPG. If you are familiar with other Kemco games it follows the same style. If you arn't familiar with Kemco they make a lot of Android and Tablet RPG games. While enjoyable I could never quite get used to the stylus as the form of control. I was thrilled when I saw that Kemco is making a push into other digital markets. As for the game itself I am several hours in and I am rather liking it. Good music The party has different personalities they arn't just cardboard…

unlabelledView post →the game's ok if you need some old rpg action BUT the game gets boring about mid way. i did end up beating it but as i got farther in the less interest i had with it. it feels very mobile but the main flaw is it does not grow as it goes along. the story though doable is not very interesting and has alot of anime relationship sap to it. 5/10
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Another Jrpg resembling the old Snes ones.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Nice JRPG, lots of hours of gameplay! +Some interesting characters +Lots of skills to learn +Great soundtrack +Battle GFX are a memory of PS1 era -No controller support without third party software. 8/10
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →great, but kemco lost out on a great number of sales due to lack of controller support
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Its pretty much is a first time RPG. It teaches you its mechanics (for example secret passages etc...) and is very simple to learn. The battles don't drag and you can just highlight the move you want to use and see its secondary effects. The mouse and keyboard controls are good...........with that said there is no gamepad support meaning you will have to use a controller mapper (a program that maps keyboard buttons on your controller which lets you use the gamepad) . Overall good game but…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is beautiful and strory is truely rich. It's a nice challenge, like FF XIII with an Easy and Normal diffuculty. It has 20+ hours of Gameplay. Sometimes the dungeons look the same, so you may get lost while you are in the dungeon. Other than that the game is great. 9/10
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Recommended for fans of classic turn-based RPGs. +Graphics are decent, PSX-style and a step above most of the RPG-maker games, especially in battle +Good variety of spells, skills, items, weapons, armor, accessories +Some customization in development of spells (develop Fire, Water, and/or Light magic) +Easy to pick up and play and keep your bearings +Intuitive keyboard/mouse controls +Interesting story with some ethical insights -Fairly linear, relatively few sidequests -Voice acting is…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Let me start off this review by saying I went into Alphadia Genesis without much hype (good or bad) so this review should come from a fairly impartial place (at least as far as any game review can be). I will be using a "Pro's vs Con's" style of review because I don't personally believe 1 out of 10 type of reviews fairly portray the ups and downs of a game. You may enjoy different things than I do, and someone else may not mind something that's a pet peeve of yours and so on. I believe the best…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →+ The story isnt some stupid ♥♥♥♥ like Final Fantasy XIII + The music is good + The turn based fight have a good animation - Some monster use the same model with only slight change in color - No gamepad support yet but it can be solved with 3rd party program Conclusion: After playing this game, I felt dirty because i bought it while it was on sale. Absolutely must have if u loved some classic turn based rpg like "Breath of fire".
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A surprisingly well done RPG that doesn't quite become great due to the weak dungeon designs and mediocre overworld graphics, but is still definitely worth playing due to some interesting combat mechanics that evolve very interestingly as you progress. The story isn't nonsensical but I couldn't even get a grip on the plot until about halfway through... it's about science fiction clones, which is weird because the game takes place in a fantasy world with kings and castles. The joy in Alphadia…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Ooh let me know how Alphadia Genesis is! I was looking through Wii U eShop game games the other day and thought it looked cool!
unlabelledView post →Meh. It's okay. I sunk more hours into it because I'm a bit of a perfectionist (although not as much as many RPG players), but it's not particularly great. The story is passable but surprisingly dull; it was so dull that boring, worn tropes that I expected to see didn't even get included. It was unpredictable in that it didn't even rise to the level of generic predictability, it just didn't bother to follow-up on things you likely will expect it to. The characters are one note, and those few…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Imagine if Lufia, 7th Sage, and Phantasy Star had a child and that's what Alphadia Genesis is. This was a very cute game and with a loveable and enjoyable story. Pros: Great story very enjoyable. Good port from a...PHONE app? I can't complain. Good music that gives all three games I mentioned before those "feels". Easy interface and combat and controls. Save anywhere - useful for this game. LONG for a phone app game - nearly 30 hours. Side note: Nice to see when combat is about to begin…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Nothing Major but kinda nice JRPG. The mechanic and battle syatem is kinda good too where they utilize all the charcter even not in main party. Simply the most non wasting time RPG i ever played, KEMCO is just like that. There are to many JRPG nowdays and less time to play migh as well keep it short, right!!. Thanks For the Great game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is an amazing game especially for the price. I don't play many RPGs on my computer but this one really drew me in and kept me interested. The graphics are lovely and the game isn't too slow, or boring. I really enjoyed the unique aspects of the game [as well as the fact its so hard to find turn based RPGs]. The characters were all really interesting and kept me firmly interested in the game and their relationships. Leveling up wasnt too difficult and overall I would recommend it to anyone~
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →this is a turn based JRPG with retro graphics so if you're an action based gamer obbessed with amazing graphics then this game isn't for you at all pros: decent character development excellent pacing of story and mechanics short straighforward dungeons easy access to "true ending" after 1st playthrough cons: annoying love triangle forced romance late game backtracking
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is nothing special but it sure takes me back to the days when games had deeper meaning. For a steam game the controls are great and easy to use, the best part is you can use the mouse to point and click on the map. It's great not to have to figure out the keys for everything since you can simply use the mouse for the entire game. Definitely a great game for those who want a game that is easy to learn but hard to stop playing.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is fun for what it is. This is not a game that will deeply move you with its characters or storyline. But that's okay, you play this game in spite of that. Because this game chooses to play it safe, be pretty predictable, and doesn't try to overstay its welcome with you. Basically if you're looking for a light, turn-based JRPG, this game will fill that desire in your heart. Actually I'd recommend this game even to newbies of the JRPG Genre because the game isn't too terribly…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Bought it during sales, looked like a decend old-school rpg. Sure the battle system isn't new, however, the game isn't too much grindy and offer many features that make up pretty well for that aspect. in the end it was really worth the money, Last but not least : the story was rich and the plot was great. Loved it.
