The film alters some key aspects of the novel including the killer's personality as well as romance between the leads. Suzanne Pleshette and Ed Nelson are great, and there's a little Andrew Prine in there too!
unlabelledView post →Watching Along Came a Spider as a comfort half-attention zone-out movie, because I do so love dumbass thrillers of that era, and man was Morgan Freeman the undisputed master of selling this kind of bullshit.
unlabelledView post →‘Along Came a Spider’ is a home run of a B movie. Pure pleasure.

unlabelledView post →Also watched Along Came a Spider (1970) which was also a great watch but every synopsis spoils it on some level. So just watch it on YouTube here because the description is for a different movie. All you need to know is "Suzanne Pleshette strikes up a relationship with Robert Denby."

Antitrust, rated 12, was our back-up if we got knocked back. I still have never seen Antitrust.

Although probably not noticed by most, this is a intricately well written thriller that pretends not to be by giving us moments that you question as 'why would they do that' or 'that's funny', figuring it's just script quirks. But then Cross would start asking those same questions making you realize that you're catching clues, not quirks... and the film is full of them.…
