Taking Lives
Recruited to assist Montreal police in their desperate search for a serial killer who assumes the identities of his victims, FBI profiler Illeana Scott knows it's only a matter of time before the killer strikes again. Her most promising lead is a museum employee who might be the killer's only eyewitness. From TMDB

unlabelledView post →Ha! This is fun. Maybe TAKING LIVES with Angelina Jolie and Ethan Hawke. I love that movie, and I also own two copies, but mine was intentional - the first one I bought wound up being a TV edit version, so I had to buy a full uncut version, lol. But that movie is thrilling and terrifying!
unlabelledView post →Taking Lives because I was in a packed Dollar Cinema and when the final jump scare happened, the entire theater lost its mind. Shrieking, yelling, screaming. The movie sold its finest scare! It earned those screams.
unlabelledView post →I remember figuring out the movie Taking Lives during the trailer. And watching the remake of Assault on Precinct 13, about 15 minutes in I paused it and described, in detail, a scene that was going to happen near the end (it did).

Along Came a Spider The Bone Collector is well made but for a movie about racing the clock to save people from a serial killer, it's not as tense as it should be. Next up: Taking Lives #filmsky #movies #cinema

That opening scene carries so much tension & dread that it basically builds the vibe for everything that follows. Wild how a brief appearance still shows off his acting chops & at such a young age.
unlabelledView post →watching a young paul dano perform in Taking Lives then being dragged into a time skip is a bunch of chicanery but it was 2004 it possibly must have hurt more to film the rest of the movie

Kiefer Sutherland shows up and pretends to be the bad guy, but he's just a drug dealer […] [Original post on mstdn.social]

unlabelledView post →So there was this movie with Angelina Jolie and Ethan Hawk called Taking Lives. I am low key hoping they make this movie like that in a lot of ways. A serial killer who just walks the earth changing his body and demeanor to the essence of the individual he killled and stumbles into Gotham.
unlabelledView post →Taking Lives in a packed Dollar Cinema. Suspense film with Angelina Jolie. Final jump scare: the killer is hiding under AJ's bed and stabs her through the mattress. The theater erupts in shrieks. Best scare in a movie ever, the crowd was totally into it.
unlabelledView post →Angelina Jolie does her best here and Ethan Hawke injects just a touch of menace but otherwise it's a rather far-fetched crime thriller set in Montreal. "Martin Asher" leaves his home and by systematically killing men as he ages - and assuming their identities - has left quite a trail of corpses over almost twenty years before FBI profiler Jolie is drafted in to try and help them get to the bottom of it all. The acting is ok, by and large, but a few "guest appearances" from Kiefer Sutherland,…
