positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I can't count the time I invested in this game. I owned it as a CD-Rom back in the late 90s, when the original game came out. Back when PetrolAir was called ArabAir and some voices were different. Airline Tycoon is by far no game for everyone. It can be repetetive and get boring to most people. But I love this game so much. Back in the days I sat at my PC as a young boy with my grandpa and we would play night after night until we owned every route with a couple of hundred aircrafts. It was a…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Played this as a kid and STILL love this game. It's much more involved than you'd think a sim for its time would be.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Not able to play if you are using Win10 system. Buy this game only for my childhood memory.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I never leave a review, but i played this game when i was about 10 years old back in 1999 when it first came out. It was and still is one of my all time favourite computer games and to have it here available on modern PC's makes me so happy. The sound track is etched into my brain, its a certified classic and if you've played this in the past, it will bring all your fond memories back once you load up the first mission and start working on becoming a tycoon again.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I still play this game after almost 30 years. I wish it was possible to expand upon this game and keep the funny tone. Once you can afford the expensive planes and can set up a good route, the game just plays itself and gets boring real fast. There's nothing to do after this - the only fun part is growing your airline until this point.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →certified classic
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I prefer the original/First Class edition. One of the best games of the last 30 years.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →0/10 game crashes on launch and i cant find a fix that works
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a 22 year old business/tycoon simulator game with a cartoony theme where you run and manage an airline and all the associated business aspects. No matter how good this was back in the day, it's aged like milk. Fixed, low resolution, no widescreen support, very poor optimisation, the game runs like a pig. Simply too dated to be recommendable today, yet they're charging a hefty $10 USD for this abandonware. Impossible to recommend this unethical nostalgia gouging.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It’s interesting to look at some older games. Just take a look at the store page. The character design is unique, definitely not generic 3D trash. There’s that bald guy with the hair on the sides combed toward the middle, and the bearded man with the funny hair at his temples. The store page says the game was released in 1998, but visually it looks better so I think it might be a remake from the 2000s. It's an airline monopoly game. You walk around an airport, entering different rooms to…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The original one, but this one IS working on a modern pc/windows 11. Played it a lot back in the days.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I loved playing this game a long time ago. Unfortunately, the fun is now gone as there are too many problems to play it on recent machines and no patch available.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This isn't really a review, just my desperate scream for some developer/publisher to make again these half management / half point and click kind of games. Sometimes a bad ui can be an intriguing ui...
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is still same after all these years. Never thought it would be on Steam. Optimization is horrible but there is a patch so it's still playable
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Airline Tycoon ... my favorite PC game of all time and THE game of my childhood! I first got my hands on this game at the age of two in 2000. Before Steam, I've spent at least over 4000 hours with Airline Tycoon for 20 years. An economic simulation that is structured similarly to MadTV, only that it is not about TV channels, but about managing an airline to a lively airport with many rooms, colorful funny graphics, adventure-like elements and sensible management elements. I've never seen a…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I am totally satisfied with this game. It was one of my first games ever I received as gift as a child. You should keep in mind that this is not a remaster or what ever, but just a publishing of an old game. I read about some issues some other players have with this game, so I tried to carefully use my two hours of testing and I was not able to recognize any issues mentioned in the negative reviews: I don't have any crashes I can start the game I don't have any issues with this…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Only play this if you are nostalgic, the game is unplayable in this era, everything is dated, the graphics, the UI, playing this game is like a torture for me.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game was extremely fun....to uninstall! I am still giving it a 'thumbs-up' because, despite many players seemingly having issues with the game, it ran extremely well on my 2017 ASUS ROG (Windows 10). Obviously it is very old and limited, + controls (especially setting up your flights) are quite the opposite of 'user-friendly'. But I thought I would have a huge flashback / happy moment when playing it! Sadly, the only nostalgia goes towards the few dollars I've lost after buying this…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →10/10 I think for the most part whether or not you like this game will come down to if it works properly on your computer. I don't have the same bugs and framerate issues people have on my windows 10 so it's great, especially just for $2 to play again. Cons: There are some things that are part of the game that make it too easy but you can choose to simply not do those things - as in taking $1M contracts for flying 2 people or the easily exploitable stock market. The main problem is that it's…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This was a favoritt of mine when it came out. Still love it today. Sadly Airline Tycoon 2 did not live up to this gem. Hopefully we will see a new modern version in the future that still keeps the cartoonish and fun style. But untill then, this still is a great and fun game, that holds it age well. Strongly recommend, if you love the old classic way of gaming.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's a classic. Very nostalgic to play. I wish there was some modern titles with takes on this game style. To be honest, I was never very good at the management side of the game, but I always enjoyed running around looking for easter eggs. ^^
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game's great. Works like a charm (albeit in 20 FPS, though that's the game's dedicated limit), and controls are very comfortable on the Steam Deck. Brings back heaps of nostalgia. Must-buy if you like 90s Tycoon games.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Airline Tycoon Deluxe is one of those quirky management games that manages to blend strategy, humor, and charm in a way few others do. Even years later, it’s still a blast to play. You’re not just running an airline—you’re dealing with competitors, managing staff, designing planes, and sometimes even sabotaging rival companies (in the most entertaining way possible). The cartoon-style visuals and tongue-in-cheek humor give the game a lighthearted feel, but underneath is a surprisingly deep and…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →old game still play until today..
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a game that, even though it shows its age, remains a classic, a true little gem. I started playing it decades ago, when it was fairly new, and fell in love. Then I mostly forgot about it, I had it on a computer I got rid of and never thought of reinstalling.... Until I found it here on Steam! It was on offer at less than 2$ so I bought it, installed it, and it works perfectly. Many people here can't run it, but I have one of those PCs that will play whatever you throw at them, an…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →My Childhood game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I played this back in the XP era as my first "Tycoon" game and I loved it. My only complaints is that the path to winning doesn't have a lot of options and there can be stability issues depending on settings. It's not the best game but you can't beat the charm of the sprite graphics.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is the best! I love the stock market aspect, because it's a way to get rich quick without having to do anything. If you have no friends, this is the perfect game for you. I play it every night before bed and my mom loves me now. Also, I love how you can sabotage your opponents by killing their planes or buying out their stocks so they lose everything. That's what I did with my ex-boyfriend's mom when we broke up!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →One of my first video games I loved playing. I miss the ideas that made simple games different and charming like Airline Tycoon. The Designer Armin Gessert (RIP) also designed Desperados 1 and 2 (also very good games that were ahead of its time) do not get Airline Tycoon 2, Kalypso ruined the title for good
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →the fact you have to run back and forth to your office to see what planes you have booked up. bring your ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ fax ♥♥♥♥ with you. what a dumb ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Silly, funny, easy to learn. As tycoon games go, this isn't exactly a major challenge. But it's fun.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →as good as it was 20+ years ago! there is a page on Github linked in the discussions for this game that makes it run beautifully on Win11
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Loved this when I was a kid.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →a classic. it never gets old. so many hours on this game prior to steam!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →My favorite game during my teenage days! The art, the scenarios, the mechanism, and some of the clunky UI somewhat nostalgic. And still, all the business and naming are the best compared to the other similar Airline Tycoon games.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This brings me back to a time when tycoon games were fun. You had missions to complete and you could just play without a dozen micro-transactions popping up before you can even attempt to complete anything.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →ahhh this game is so nostalgic and reminds me of when I played this as a child on the old family computer. I still play it every so often as I quite enjoy the nostalgia but it probably doesn't actually hold up today gameplay wise.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Got this game for nostalgia, had played this game when I was very young and it's still one of the best airline simulation with one of the best cartoon artwork. Easy to run, comically goofy artwork and a funny game. I wish they would remaster this for current gen.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Unfortunately I didn't play this back then so I'm coming in with experience of many other Tycoon/management games and this has aged so much and isn't fun to control at all. Can't recommend for people who haven't played it before.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A classic in the modern era, what's not to love
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Unplayable on my PC slow and not user friendly interface extrememly dated
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I'm glad I only wasted £1.39 when it was on sale. It won't even run as it needs "Directplay", which was killed off by Microsoft several years ago. It just throws up an error message and crashes out. Suggestions on the internet to get Directplay installed no longer work. This shouldn't be sold any longer, or should at least some with a warning so that people don't waste their cash on a game that can't run on modern hardware.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game has never got old. Great fun as a solo or as multiplayer.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →You have got to love this game. its a lovely trip down memory lane when i used to play it as a kid
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun retro game for lovers of the airlines.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is still so good.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Classic little game. I wish there's a remake of this.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game has been broken for the past few years. It is extremely glitched and barely loads.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Really enjoyable. Doesn't get boring fast.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Played this game when it first came out, and I was so happy to discover it again recently. Just a simple, straightforward game of micromanaging flights, hiring airline staff, and buying/building airplanes to create the best airline in the market. I also really enjoy games that give you a stock market to mess around with for some extra cash.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's a fun, albeit nowadays retro airline economy simulator game. You can manage almost every little detail of your airline. I absolutely love this game, played it for days on end on disk before I got it on Steam. Downsides: - Whenever a MIDI ends and a new one begins, a long stutter will happen (~ 1 sec). This is manageable though. - Netcode is terrible, there's a remake available but you'll have to build the code yourself. - Although I love the graphics, some might find it antiquated.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A classic. Playing it since its release in 1998. Deserves a 90%+ Rating IMHO.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game gives me a giant pepperonichini. I like eggs.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The nostalgia is strong with this game. Best airline business simulator to date, despite it's age it's still the best. There may be some graphic issues on new systems but check the forum for solutions.
