40 of 40 · most liked firstKonung 2 is weird. It's an open RPG with a little bit of unit management. The game is pretty complicated with lots of unorthodox features. Yet the devs decided not to include a tutorial whatsoever, leading to players fumbling around inside the game. The funny thing is that the first game has a pretty comprehensive tutorial. Konung 2 is an open game. You can go wherever you want and do whatever you want. Do some quests? Or killing monsters or maybe even killing all of the villagers. Another…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A scandiaviana themed role playing game. After playing this out of order with Konung 3 first, I found this one somewhat different. It was more challenging as this game has more strategy involved in it, especially with the controlling of towns. So, here is my pro and con list: PROS: `Owning towns and running them! `Ability to recruit town members when you own a town `Different heroes for the main character, including female characters to play as `Some strategy is involved `Old school RPG…

Don't get me wrong, though. Huge fan of the first Konung here. I consider the first game in this series to be one of the most successful Russian games out there and there was sure quite a lot of good about it. In the first Konung (a half-broken version of which you can find on GOG) we were supposed to explore a fully open world of…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I played Konung 2 for the first time roughly around 10 years ago (tragically lost the CD) and until the day I bought it again on steam I still think this game is a hidden gem that quite a lot of people missed out. Fast forward 40 hours+ in the game, this game shines even brighter as I managed to pick up details and hints I missed when I was a kid. High replay value IMO, because the game provides several character that you can choose as a main with each has their own story and background.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I like old school isometric RPGs but I really don't like this one. I've tried to like it but its just directionless, feels half finished, buggy (especially the pathfinding) and doesnt seem to have any enjoyment factor to it, regret buying.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Haven't played that long but this seem interesting although the enemy AI is easy to abuse and due to some bug you move faster if you click the mouse rapidly also you can get as much money as you need rather quickly with a little save scumming. But if you would never save scum or abuse bugs or anything like that I think the game might be quite enjoyable.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's a good nostalgia trip, but be advised, this game is old, and as such does not have A WHOLE LOT of the QoL features you would expect.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Can't say i like it. I bought it because i really like oldschool RPGs but Konung 2 it's to slow for me, and there's not any map of locations. Another things are encounters, sometime you fight with spiders witch is simple and in next encounter you meet dragons even if you are level 1. It's make the game more difficult than it should be. And the characters are kind of boring, but I shouldn't expect anything like in BG. However game have some "pros": 6 characters with different begins is cool!…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I'd eat my left shoe before believing 88% of players on Steam have actually positively reviewed this game AND actually played a worthwhile amount. Very positive my a**. $0.59? Still not worth it. It's got a 35/100 on Metacritic for a reason... This game could be free and the amount of bugs, lack of quality-of-life updates, and its general poo-poo-like quality all make for an overwhelmingly not worthwhile game. I'm not sure it ever was... Avoid this game.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Interesting mix of isometric RPG and town management. A classic that I have not played before - The story didn't really interest me but the mix of features in such an old school RPG was very neat.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Anyone who likes this game is a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ idiot
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A great old school RPG, not a lot of documentation, poor translation into english, and a steep learning curve, yet i stiil find myself playing this game repeatedly. I only have 40 hours on steam, but i used to have a physical copy as well and probably have closer to 100... It has a lot of charm and is unique in a lot of ways!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Konung 2 is the second game in a niche RPG series rooted in Byzantine, Slavic, and Viking mythology. This isometric fantasy RPG is really rough around the edges. I played the first game as a kid and picked up this one and the third during a sale, curious to revisit the series. There is no tutorial and the manual is very basic, leaving many gameplay features unexplained. I’d recommend looking up a guide to uncover hidden mechanics that can make playing easier. Even playing on a lower difficulty,…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a 16 year old hybrid town manager/classical western RPG with a scandinavian theme. The premise is good but the game is very dated, it has fixed resolution and displays 4:3 stretched, no proper widescreen support. It's just too old for me to recommend, but it would be nice if they made more games like this.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →childhood game, replayed recently, still like it to this day
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →One false dialogue option, bam you're dead. The game offers zero help on figuring out what to do. One of the characters, Anastasia, is unplayable - there seems to be absolutely no way out of the initial courtyard.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is not hard it's just tedious and boring.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Totally recommend this super game! For 3€ and playable 6 characters (well the story is same at every char) is just amazing!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Konung 2 cons: lack of instructions. no button configuration and descriptions. difficult gameplay. overpowered enemy AI at start of game. gameplay becomes uninteresting after a few minutes. sucks.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I used to play konung 2 when I was in middle school, it has been more than ten years since I played it again and I think the game is still good.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →In my opinion, this game is so hard to play, and don't have a tutorial... And the game is so boring to me... I don't like it.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Konung 2 is a janky early 2000s CRPG with a surprisingly great core. Getting it to run on a modern system is a hassle - the launcher and performance can be rough - but once you’re in, there’s a lot to like. It offers a unique, open-ended experience with a strong sense of freedom and a world rooted in Slavic mythology that helps it stand out. The systems are clunky at first, but they eventually click, and there’s a rewarding depth to how you approach the game. Despite its technical issues, it’s…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Konung 2 is undeniably a unique gaming experience that may leave players feeling somewhat perplexed yet strangely entertained. While it's true that I often find myself lost in the game without a clear sense of direction, there's something oddly captivating about it that keeps drawing me back. For those enamored with grand shields and imposing armor, Konung 2 certainly delivers on that front. The game's aesthetic is rich with medieval flair, immersing players in a world filled with towering…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game is crashing always after dialog when i try get out from town with Aanastasia at first map !.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Similar to Baldur's Gate
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Konung 2 builds upon the foundation of the original game by delivering a classic fantasy role-playing adventure centered on betrayal, redemption, and the struggle for power. The story takes an interesting turn by casting the hero of the previous game as the primary antagonist after the corrupting influence of the legendary Sovereign Bracelet consumes him. This narrative twist immediately raises the stakes, placing six descendants of the ancient Titans at the center of a desperate mission to…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game was incredible when I first played it. Nowadays it feels a bit rougher and a bit harder to play as tutorials weren't the thing back then, but it's still an amazing game with a lot of depth. True RPG fans, and I mean the OGs will love this.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I like this game, is it good? for me it is cant say for others
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →One of my favourite game by far. Wish we have more games like Konung. And if possible bring Konung: Blood of titans on steam. Thank you for your hard work.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →really good game- my father
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →barely functional crappy game, tons of bugs bad combat bad writing AWFUL
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →You can get it for less than the price of a can of pop. Is it bad? Maybe. But who can't afford less than a dollar to find out?
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a bruh moment
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Would recommend only for nostalgic purposes.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →nice game from old school rpg pov
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great ol school RPG adventure game. Think of it as Russian Fallout. Only slightly buggy. You're trying to save the world (obviously) from a tyrannical ruler corrupted by magic (duh). Recruit allies up to 8 persons from villages you saved. Warning: Starting battles are seriously hard but will become really easy once you have full roster.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Очень атмосферная
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Tags: Isometric RPG - Topdown RPG Additional Tags: Delete Local Content & Remove from Library TLDR: Complicated and dated village management sim with some hack&slash grindy components. The whole thing feels janky to handle. Shame because the isometric assets still looked decent.
