Ah yes, anime Dark Souls. It's like all those anime with overpowered protagonists. Except you're not the protagonist. AI limit really makes you FEEL like anime. It's easy Soulsborne with anime tropes. I mean if Dark Souls is a world class 5 star burger, AI limit is a McDouble. I like McDoubles ya know? But, you know, don't expect a culinary awakening. Let me just say that the game is fun, but it's not able to stand on par to any of the other souls game. Many have described it as "Dark Souls…

Ai Limit is a hidden gem that deserves more attention, I easily and highly recommend this game. Ai Limit takes all the good pieces from Dark Souls, Bloodborne, and Code Vein and blends it together in a really nice highly polished package. If you like any of the games I just mentioned you'll also love Ai Limit. From Bloodborne, the game has quick dashes, no weight system, and a weapon swap attack akin to transformation attacks. From Code Vein, you have a sync meter that you expend to use…

Story and Design You are a Blader who goes around activating Branches (Bonfire), basically. What that entails, or where Bladers come from, is for you to find out and draw your own conclusions as you progress in the story. The game has no character creation, but you can choose from a not too limited variety of clothes, weapons, and even hairstyles (though her regular hair has an ahoge). Oh, and she talks! It’s hard to say the game has a clear defining theme. If anything, it could be…

Do you remember when you unlocked that shortcut in Dark Souls from Undead Parish to Firelink Shrine? Now imagine that feeling but as a whole game. That's what this game is. In the sea of Souls games that have tried to replicate the magic that Dark Souls gave us, I think only AI Limit has truly succeeded in its endeavours. Don't get me wrong, we have countless Soulslikes that have given us tough challenges and iconic bosses, but almost none of them have remotely as good level design as Dark…

At first, I thought this was just another generic Souls-like, but it turned out to be incredibly fun. It really brought back that feeling of playing Dark Souls for the first time—especially since the bosses aren't ridiculous HP sponges. On top of that, the game is super affordable. When they announced the recent DLC, I fully expected it to be paid, but they gave it to us for free. Huge praise to Sense Games!

The first time I paid attention to AI Limit was during a Steam Next Fest. The demo was playable and the design gave me a Code Vein souls like feeling. I felt entertained and bought the game on release day. I have to admit that I was positively surprised. The beginning of the game (that also was the demo part) was the worst part of the game, although it was my reason for buying. With every second AI Limit became more and more engaging regarding gameplay mechanics, story telling and graphics.…

The Chinese Devs Truly Understand The Souls-like Subgenre The souls-like subgenre has been getting very saturated for the last few years, there is no denying that. Even as a fan of the genre, I believe this is a bit of a double-edged sword. While most of them are able to deliver in the combat department, only a handful of them manage to deliver in terms of world-building and level design. Having fallen in love with Wuchang: Fallen Feathers a few months ago, AI Limit is yet another game that…

AI Limit is a sci-fi action RPG that deserves more attention. The combat is fast and satisfying, the world has a great atmosphere and the story kept me invested, especially for a Soulslike where storytelling often takes a back seat. It doesn’t reinvent the genre but it delivers a polished experience with a great art style, solid performance and an interesting post-apocalyptic sci-fi world. Definitely worth checking out if you enjoy Soulslike games and anime-inspired RPGs. P.S.: I had mixed…

Pros: -Sync Rate system rewards successful dodging/parrying while playing aggressively, as opposed to using a stamina-based system. Get damaged = sync rate bar lowers = damage output lowers. Do damage = sync rate bar sustains = damage output is sustained. -Weapon types/armor/overall build variety. You can use 2 different weapons as well + use spells. I went with a Strength/Spirit (aka. spells) hybrid build. -Deaths don't feel like BS, meaning, you can learn from your mistakes, and it doesn't…

I went in with low expectations, missed this game because of Khazan last year. Now that I finished it, I can say that this game is criminally underrated, it's up there with Lies of P as one of the best souls-likes. It feels like a mix of Lies of P and Code Vein (1). The Sync Rate system is unique and refreshing, with higher sync you do more damage, lower sync you have limited abilities. Simple and VERY effective. I 100% the game and didn't use parry, so it's also great if you are tired of…

A Good Souls-like Game That’s Suitable For Newcomers To The Genre AI Limit is my first Souls-like game that I’ve completely finished. I was interested in this game because it’s an anime-ish Souls-like with a beautiful female protagonist, and it’s an indie game made by a small Chinese studio, so I bought it when it went on sale. Story-wise, the game has a cool concept and executes it very well, although some moments feel a bit under-explained. The English voice acting is done really well,…

Peak souls-like goodness. Or greatness, I'd rank it in my top 5 souls-like games not made by Fromsoft. Much like Lies of P, it doesn't overcomplicate the amount of attributes for allocating stat points, with there only being 5 categories: life, strength, technique (dex), spirit (for special atks), and vitality. Rather than stamina, this game instead uses a "sync meter." Basically, regular attacks fill it while special attacks deplete it. The more it's depleted, the more damage you take, with…

Alright, so after finishing AI LIMIT, I can honestly say I had a really good time with it. If you're expecting something as difficult as Dark Souls or Elden Ring, this isn't quite that, but I actually didn't mind. It still has challenging moments, especially with some of the bosses, but it never felt unfair. The combat is smooth, the world is fun to explore, and the atmosphere really fits the game. Overall, I think AI LIMIT is a great Souls-like. It's a little more forgiving than most games…

Limit delivers a sharp and focussed gameplay experience that marks an excellent entry point for new players. - No weapon durability - No weapon bounce back when hitting walls - No corpse runs - No invasions / coop - No stamina management Just clean and simple - unadulterated Souls(lite) fun. The intricate level design stands out as well.

A fun, not too challenging souls-like that stays true to the genre, while introducing some new and interesting mechanics. Zero technical issues. Story and characters are enjoyable. I don't think the screenshots on the store page do the game justice either. This is a very pretty game in some sections. That said, after finishing it I still have no idea what the title is referring to.

A blessing of a game indeed. This is another of those games but its really high quality of the genre. It took some best parts of souls formula games and made it into well worth your time game. Shell shaded graphics and style in this game is just right call. Some call it anime style but it blends with dystopian nightmare and sadness. Some of the level designs are trully godishlike architecture that elevates first steps of your journey. Each world section is mostly interconnected and reminisce…

Very solid soulslike game. I can recommend it especially for people new to soulslike games. Difficulty wise it is below the average soulslike game. It is not easy, but it is kinda too fair to the player. You can dodge endless in a row. The parry has a short animation and can be spammed in a row as well. I am not a good soulslike player, but still beat most bosses on the first try. Don't get me wrong, the boss fights were still a lot of fun. Only a few fights were a boring walk in the park. The…

The game had promise but fails to avoid false difficulty curse. Anime souls like with some production quality are not that common. Graphically its nice enough, voice acting and music is fine. What made the first Dark Souls game great wasn't its crazy difficulty or roster of bosses, hell if anything it boss roster is really weak. What made Dark Souls great was the level design and the world. Many of the devs that are making soulslike games have forgotten the roots of the game or never gotten it in the first place. This isn't the greatest Soulslikes of all time. It feels like every part of the game is just not quite as great as I'd like it to be. But every part is still pretty good. I don't know anything about the devs, but if this is a smaller dev team with a small budget, they did a great job. Interesting game but it's only terribly developed. The graphics and gameplay mechanics are ok, even the characters and their story, and exploration is equally rewarding but up to a point. It's easy to get lost and not know how to proceed, there are areas too confusing, too scattered, and I believe to be stuck forever and unable to finish the game. It's a refined action RPG Souls game, cuts the fat, introduces variety not just tougher enemies. Feels very homage to Dark Souls 3 in many ways but also takes inspiration from Jedi Survivor. The lore is more interesting than the actual story and while it's got a little jank, it's in places you don't care about anyway. Solid itch recommendation! 8.7/10

what a hidden gem!! the combat is good, level design is good, worldbuilding is amazing and story is good and not hard to understand if you read the notes scattered throughout the game. you dont have stamina and mana - instead its combined into sync rate and its unique and fun. also wow!! kbm binds that arent horrible!! probably the first soulslike that did this you can see the budget cuts in the game but its truly an amazing experience that you can appreciate, it even has a free dlc…
