Agents of the Four Seasons: Dance of Spring
When the Agent of Spring, Hinagiku Kayo, is abducted, spring itself vanishes—plunging the world into unending winter. Refusing to give up, her devoted guard, Sakura Himedaka, searches for her for years. When Hinagiku suddenly returns, the two set out to restore the lost season, face the past that tore them apart, and reclaim the warmth they refuse to lose again. From TMDB

Kana Akatsuki, the author, said the following: "Shows are too queer nowadays so I wanted to write a straightforward boy meets girl story to show that we still exist and are proud."

All of that being said, I have begun referring to my scheduled script assignments as “Hinagiku’s weekly appointment to kick my ass.”

I hope this one will be better. * **That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime Season 4** - Yay! More meetings! (please, don't) * **Classroom of the Elite IV** - I don't remember much about it. I'm gonna need a recap * **Ascendance of a Bookworm Season 4** - Aside from season 1, this was rather underwhelming, but hopefully the change of the studio will bring some improvements. The trailer looked…

neutral · AI labelView post →Watching the final Agents of the Four Seasons ep and while I've tuned out the majority of outside opinion I think this is the type of show that people who dislike it would *really* do so because of the melodrama lol
positive · AI labelView post →Things from this season I watched/am watching, in rough order of preference: * **[Daemons of the Shadow Realm](https://anilist.co/anime/195600/Daemons-of-the-Shadow-Realm/)** - Great stuff. I already knew from the manga I was going to like this one, but Studio Bones gave it that extra push towards excellence. neutral · AI labelView post →**Witch Hat Atelier** was my biggest disappointment of the season, other than *Agents of the Four Seasons*. After reading comments from people familiar with the manga who said it was a story that could rival Frieren, I was expecting something that would surprise me with its unique approach. But while Frieren paid a lot of attention to portraying characters in a believable way, avoided standard solutions to common tropes, and cleverly used flashbacks to introduce us to the main character's way…

negative · AI labelView post →Vol. 1&2 - It took me entirely too long to wade through the first volume, but the second one went much faster. They were... okay. I started reading them in the first place because I was watching the anime, and it was intriguing but unfulfilling - it felt like there should be more there. But though there was more detail and more context in the novels, they still failed to entirely come together. The problem is that the author tried to meld two distinct genres that just didn't work well together.…
neutral · AI labelView post →Agents of the Four Seasons is unparalleled this current anime season. Nothing is even coming close to this in terms of storytelling. I legitimately got goosebumps watching the finale moments of episode 12. I never want this series to end 😭 #anime #anisky #springanime #newanime
positive · AI labelView post →::: spoiler Enormous list of current series with my apologies in advance **Release That Witch** - continuation from last season, and EXCELLENT. I really can't recommend it enough. It's not particularly groundbreaking (aside from the fact that it's a donghua done very well in traditional anime style), but it's one of those series that's at least an 8/10 in *everything* - animation, art style, story, characters, setting, music, everything. It's just really good. **Scum of the Brave** - the…

It's an odd combination of gritty realism and high fantasy, and seems to be very allegorical, and with a whole lot of mysteries and secrets and dark history that were only hinted at, so I'm looking forward to learning about this world. And the art design, animation, music and character designs were all gorgeous.…

positive · AI labelView post →Finished reading Agents of the Four Seasons volume 6~ As with the other 2-volume arcs in this LN series, this first volume spent a lot of time setting things up~ it was was especially intriguing to learn of the world outside Yamato and how the Agents from other countries are treated differently.

positive · AI labelView post →Agents of the Four Seasons: Spectacularly awful. Melodramatic to the extent that even the voice acting becomes obnoxious. I have not seen Violet Evergarden, and after watching this series, I likely never will, lol. I hated nearly everything about this. Sorry not sorry.

Then a particularly disturbing game called Halloween Night and the introduction of a new villain. It was a valiant attempt at a heartwarming slice-of-life, and had a pretty good central idea and nice art and character designs, but that was about it. The story was told too fitfully - sometimes too quickly and sometimes too slowly and with too many gaps, so it didn't flow as well as it should have. The animation, in spite…

I had watched the first episode years ago and thought it looked promising, but had since forgotten the title, though the memory of seeing the episode came back to me from time to time. I finally stumbled on it last week and thought that was serendipity. But it wasn't. More than anything else, I just couldn't work out how it was that a love polygon had built up…

Character introductions and Nana and Hachiko's friendship development were fun to watch, but when Takumi appeared and THE THING happened the story just reached the peak of annoyance for me. Hachiko's taste in men is diabolical; she was cursed by the Great Demon Lord. ::: spoiler **Spring 2026** I won't be sticking…
unlabelledView post →Finished Season 1 of Re:Zero. It capped the season off very nicely. One could argue Emilia was a little too quick to forgive, but that's just kind of who she is. I followed that up with the first OVA, and uh wow. That was fun. It felt a *little* like the OVA's writer(s) were calling out the original work on what it did to Rem's character, which is very fair. Overall just a good time. Shame it (probably) isn't canon. I also watched a couple of episodes of the second season of Umamusume. I was…

Big mystery element in the show as Spring has finally shown up after ten years. Cute, nice, full of heart. I am very intrigued with where it goes

In addition to what you've already mentioned, OSTs from *Agents of the Four Seasons*, *Devilman Crybaby*, *Journal with Witch*, *Dandadan* were all great too. He's so talented. His involvement with any anime project alone is enough for me to check out it out. As for the others, that I haven't seen mentioned yet, I really like *Jujutsu Kaisen S2* OST. It has an interesting mix of electric, rock, and classical themes. Stuff like [*No…

One show that got kind of overlooked from this past season is Agents of the Four Seasons: Dance of Spring, a tearjerking melodrama from the writer of Violet Evergarden. It had the best music of any show this season
unlabelledView post →I hate how people online self censor themselves. You can't talk about a show like Agents of the Four Seasons in which one episode shows two horrifying depictions of (potential) rape and then in discussions about said scenes constantly use "grape". That's just disrespectful.
unlabelledView post →Finally caught up with Agents of the Four Seasons, and ready for the season finale tonight. Also episode 13 almost gave me a heart attack while simultaneously making me fight off tears of sadness and joy. Seriously my favourite show of the season.
unlabelledView post →Reading Agents of the Four Seasons volume 2. Very few chapter breaks so I ended up reading more than I intended, but this is a series that just grips you by the heart and won’t let go. Every page flip is with bated breath, praying these kids will be okay eventually.
unlabelledView post →I didn't like *FMA:B* very much, mainly because I didn't find the character writing compelling, so I'm not particularly excited about *Daemons of the Shadow Realm*. As for WHA, it's being made by the studio that made *Zom 100*, so there's a lot of uncertainty about whether they can actually pull it off. I'm more curious about *Agents of the Four Seasons* (by the author of Violet Evergarden) and *Jaadugar* (Naoko Yamada's comeback to making TV series). If there's anything that can topple…

And I only made it about halfway through the synopsis before I lost interest, so I didn't know it was centered on rakugo specifically. That's sort of intriguing, since the only exposure I've had to it so far is through Joshiraku, which is only sort of peripherally about rakugo and more about... whatever happens to…

unlabelledView post →★ Agents of the Four Seasons: Dance of Spring So much of this show was spent on rehashing the same melodrama over and over and over without bringing anything new to the table... Extremely pretty, though.
unlabelledView post →Staring in bafflement as Agents of the Four Seasons pulls “The villain is like this because of sexual abuse” Like I can feel the shape of the systemic abuses she suffered being mirrored in how the agents are abused and dehumanized by the Yamato, but… Damn, whole show is hurt people hurt people

Makes me feel more strongly than almost any other TV show I've ever watched. Even some rough plotting can't drag this down from being one of my new favorite shows
unlabelledView post →Agents of the Four Seasons: The Dance of Spring: 5/10 A show so obsessed with ticking emotional checkboxes that it forgot how to genuinely do that. Also literally "no homos" a love confession between the two main female characters TWICE. Looks nice though.
unlabelledView post →A lot of what makes Agents of the Four Seasons good is the direct confrontation with emotional trauma, which makes some episodes uncomfortable, but given how a lot of this is narrative or plot progressive, it's much better than show that turn it into draggy melodrama.
