unlabelledView post →I mean, I was interested in this game but during all the development interviews and gameplay previews, all I could think was: Didn't "Agents of Mayhem" already kill a studio? wild to think the same game with DC comic skins could save one 🤔
unlabelledView post →Agents of Mayhem - a game that felt like it didn't get multiplayer implemented before release, and whose world progress kept resetting if you didn't keep on playing. Tone and story leant against old tropes and callbacks. Clunkier and more repetitive as a sum of parts than disparate systems.
unlabelledView post →Confession time…I think this game is actually hysterical, has some of the best original music in the genre, and was a blast from start to finish. I would kill for a sequel. I know it’s maligned and failed hard, but I deeply love Agents of Mayhem. Goofy fun. Should have been multiplayer.

unlabelledView post →@prokesadia.bsky.social the game you were thinking about was Agents of Mayhem. Made by Volition/Deep Silver but not actually the ppl who made Saints Row. 3rd person Hero Shooter w/ designated roles meant for 2-3 player, objective based play. It wasnt good... en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Agents_...
unlabelledView post →#3: An underrated game? Agents of Mayhem! While I get why it's overshadowed by its older Saints Row siblings, the gameplay is genuinely fun and the "raunchy G.I. Joe" angle for the story and characters was so fun to me.
unlabelledView post →Fredo, My hot take is that Agents of Mayhem was a decent game loaded with potential. Its problem is the same problem Volition always had: they need like, games, plural, to find their footing for a series. But AOM was FAR better than the Saints reboot which I also played. Filled with bugs, also
unlabelledView post →Remember when the Saints Row reboot/sequel caused Volition to close it doors? It's crazy to think a single game could bring down an entire studio...though Agents of Mayhem exists too.
unlabelledView post →Agents of Mayhem (2017). Absolute shit show of a game
unlabelledView post →Randomly bought Agents of Mayhem and . . . I know it's been a minute since I played this game but I was unaware they have this cute ass owl mascot all over the place
unlabelledView post →I sure do love starting a game in order to work on 100%ing it, only to find out that it has an achievement that requires connection to a server that got taken down after I first played the game. If only me 7 years ago had 100% Agents of Mayhem...
unlabelledView post →While watching the reveal trailer for the new Horizon multiplayer game, i can't help but think this and a lot of other "stylized" multiplayer hero shooter things just look like Agents of Mayhem. And i might rather spend 2 bucks and play that tbh
unlabelledView post →I'm always surprised when I see Agents of Mayhem getting hated on. It wasn't an amazing game but I thought it was a solid and pretty fun GI Joe sendup. It always feels like there's some larger anti-AoM context I'm missing out on.
unlabelledView post →Also, I've played and beaten EVERY GI Joe game, except Wrath of Cobra (Came out recentish). Hell no to that one. Best GI Joe game is still Agents of Mayhem which isn't even a Joe game.
unlabelledView post →In the last couple of weeks I have finished Agents of Mayhem and Saints Row 2022, and you know what? I really dug them both. Neither game is anywhere near perfect, but 7 out of 10 is kind of my brand at this point, and damn do both of them deliver exactly what I like. ❤️🔥
unlabelledView post →Been playing Saints Row 5 and man is this game underrated. It's really fun and plays just like other saints row titles. So sad Volition closed down they didn't deserve it as the game has a lot of heart. I also thought Agents of Mayhem was decent but needed a co-op mode.
unlabelledView post →Agents Of Mayhem is another perfect example of a marketing faceplant. I had no idea it was even a single-player only game until months after launch. Somehow that detail almost never came up.
unlabelledView post →I don't know anyone else that played Agents of Mayhem. That game is so much fun.
unlabelledView post →Agents of Mayhem was Saint's Row crossed with GI Joe cartoons... and the game play loop was going into randomly generated dungeons with random loot boxes.
unlabelledView post →65th game of 2024: Agents of Mayhem (X1) It's a single-player open-world game with elements of hero shooter and RPG, and Saturday morning cartoons. If that sounds like a lot, well...maybe that's why it didn't sell well. Still, I love it. it's one of my favorite open world games.
unlabelledView post →It's fun when you take a game, good, bad, whatever and notice weird stuff about it. Agents of Mayhem is hero shooter mechanics planted into an open world game. Skull and Bones is Freelancer on the high seas. Spellforce: Conquest of EO is Maser of Magic as an RPG.
unlabelledView post →Embracer did better than most (read EA). When Saints Row launched it performed worse than expected so Embracer transferred Violition to Gearbox in the hope the experience would help. Unfortunately even a year later, & a Steam launch, it's still apparently a poor game. Agents of Mayhem flopped too.
unlabelledView post →While there's plenty in Agents of Mayhem to take issue with, I've always had a hunch that the game never really got a fair shake because so many people wanted it to just be Saint's Row 5.
unlabelledView post →And yet, the combat feels great, the mechanics are solid and the progression system is very sticky and satisfying. Everything about the game is super fun except...the thing that's supposed to be its core. Again, it's the problem Agents of Mayhem had, a game I really wanted to love.
unlabelledView post →I never thought I would make this comparison, but the game that Splatoon Raiders is making me think of this most is Agents of Mayhem. Which is to say, they're both games with great ideas around the edges that share the same fundamental problem: They're loot games where the loot is boring.
unlabelledView post →It’s not a “cause”, it’s a video game. You could wipe out at minimum 75% of my digital library and I wouldn’t notice or care. Oh no, I can’t play Agents of Mayhem now. Jokes on you, I wasn’t going to anyways!
unlabelledView post →Oh, I can see when I was playing Agents of Mayhem because of the huge spike in traffic to a deep silver volition domain Seeing as how Volition doesn't exist anymore, I'm gonna go ahead and deny that traffic
unlabelledView post →I absolutely LOVED "Agents of Mayhem" but seemingly none of that went into the reboot, which felt like a mid-00s game in the writing. They even called the Whole Foods "Whole Paycheck," and... guys.
unlabelledView post →Just finished the new Saint's Row game. I've played all of the others except for the first and Agents of Mayhem. It was a perfectly fine SR game, I don't understand why it got all the hate. Not perfect by any means, but enjoyable enough.
unlabelledView post →I have regretted many game purchases; Agents of Mayhem, Gears of War 4, Halo 5, Edge of Sanity, Mirror's Edge, Half-Life 2 (Plus EP1 and 2), Edge of Space, Holy Potatoes! We're in Space?!, Nether, Niche, Space Hulk: Deathwing, Star Made, Tales of a Spy Master, and more, just to name a few.
unlabelledView post →Agents of Mayhem The game had potential, but meh
unlabelledView post →Hellblade you've taken the mantle from Agents of Mayhem for being the last game I literally can't beat due to a game breaking glitch. It's a shame, kinda. The is good, kinda.
unlabelledView post →@jeffgerstmann.com your take on what would make a good GI Joe game made me think of Agents of Mayhem, which seemed - for better or worse - like a proof of concept for the type of game that would fit the IP: big mix-and-match roster of characters w specialties.
unlabelledView post →4. Your guilty pleasure game. I had to think about this one. I'm going to go with Agents of Mayhem. Saints Row does Crackdown? Yeah, I am much more down for that than it seems most people were.
unlabelledView post →Honestly, my biggest issue with Saints Row 2020… was that it wasn’t a sequel to Agents of Mayhem, cause I’m the one weirdo who liked that game. But yeah, the whole thing surrounding SR2020 was kind of ridiculous to watch unfold.
unlabelledView post →The last 3 games that had the original Volition direction were Saints Row 4, Gat out of Hell, and Agents of Mayhem and all those were more ambitious than 2022 This game does feel like a do-over. And I think the next game would have been a lot better. Unfortunately that didn't happen Fuck Embracer
unlabelledView post →Well, it's that time I guess... ..I'm finally getting around to starting the Saints Row reboot. I pre-ordered the first game and enjoyed so much time with the other games, and this...I don't have huge hopes for, given what I've seen. Agents of Mayhem was horrifying. But, I must play it to judge it.
unlabelledView post →A few days ago I finally started playing Agents Of Mayhem. As a gamer who usually goes for everything, I'm making a promise to only do the main story stuff. I am SHOCKED how utterly boring and outright bad this game is. Every SR game prior had so much good but AOM is just mush.
unlabelledView post →One flawed game that certainly deserves more love is Agents of Mayhem. I mean, what's not to love about a game that allows you to wreck terrorists while playing as a buff derby girl wielding a gatling gun while dressed as Wonder Woman?
unlabelledView post →Hot take: The Saints Row reboot from 2022 didn't kill Volition. It was one, Embracer being stupid, and two, Agents of Mayhem that killed them. The Reboot was just the final nail in the coffin. (Also hotter take the game was alright)
unlabelledView post →The biggest question I have is how it feels so bad compared to Agents of Mayhem. For all of AoM's issues - mostly unmatched expectations for SR fans - it was a very fun game to play, and it felt like a quality game. They had that game to build off of, why ditch it all? SR22 feels worse in every way
unlabelledView post →in the early days when all my work was donationware, Volition were really generous for their use of Gang Wolfik in the Saints Row spinoff Agents of Mayhem. weird game, but the entire first boss fight has this font all over it, which is cool. the Saints Row reboot also uses one of my fonts in-game.

unlabelledView post →Got some pick ups for my game collection recently, not much but I'm happy with them, Agents of Mayhem since it's crazy cheap (I actually like it as well), Mafia Trilogy to get ready for when The Old Country comes out and my best find a physical copy of Night in the woods.

unlabelledView post →37th game of 2024: Saints Row: Gat Out of Hell (360) And thus completes my replays of the Saints Row series this year. (Unless you want to count Agents of Mayhem, but that will probably happen at some point too) Anyway, this one is, somehow, even crazier than Saints Row IV.
unlabelledView post →There is an Agents of Mayhem ending which makes me very sad. That ended up being the last game to feature characters from the original series (its in an alternate universe where they are cops now???). I have some challenges left but I think I'm good. Next up is the 2022 game!
unlabelledView post →I would like to see the gameplay of a game like Rogue Company, which feels great to play, put in a game with a story campaign. Keep the colorful characters with different play styles, and give me a compelling story with them. Agents of Mayhem was pretty close. I enjoyed that one a bit.
unlabelledView post →now seems like as good a time as any to note that I am one of about a dozen Agents of Mayhem defenders the game plays great in every way that matters! the characters are fun! the writing is some of their best! I will never understand why this didn't take off beyond "it's not saints row"
unlabelledView post →Since I feel well enough to stream today we're gonna handle a viewer request and do a day of Agents of Mayhem. This is a spin-off of sorts from the Saints Row franchise notable for it's tendency to appear in your game store's bargain bin. Also controller support got broken with a patch in 2016.
