unlabelledView post →Oh my god this review has me so unbelievably hyped. “if you want to see the best horror movie of the year, trust Zach Cregger and his best work, the impossible clash of AFTER HOURS and THE THING” FUCK
unlabelledView post →Putting it out into the universe again, on Scorsese’s birthday, that AFTER HOURS is his best film
unlabelledView post →The only way a Crazy Taxi movie would work is if it’s from the perspective of a Taxi Driver having an After Hours esque night of picking up and dropping off unhinged and eccentric passengers. It needs to be 90 minutes of stress and the Offspring
unlabelledView post →After Hours (1985), screening on SBS, is my favourite Scorsese movie. Free of his fixation with ultra violence, it’s funny, odd, got a tremendous cast and keeps you on edge. #MovieSky
unlabelledView post →Evening viewing recommendation? Watch our edition of Martin Scosese's Kafkaesque cult classic AFTER HOURS (1985). ❤️ 🌃 Alongside the film, enjoy a conversation between Scorsese and Fran Lebowitz; a commentary featuring Scorsese, Thelma Schoonmaker, Michael Ballhaus, Griffin Dunne, and Amy Robinson.

unlabelledView post →watched After Hours last night. first of all god i miss new york and having truly terrible but memorable nights. second, Griffin Dunne is such a scrunkly little wet dog in that movie. perfect
unlabelledView post →After Hours is the most American film that exists: you leave work, you fail to get laid, you can’t get home, and you wind up back at work

unlabelledView post →People talking during movies sucks but I just saw a screening of After Hours during which there was a couple speaking at full volume in what sounded like Russian during most of the movie and honestly it did add something to the vibe
unlabelledView post →Forgot that Catherine O'Hara was in After Hours, which is a chronically-underrated film and one of Scorsese's best. It has an atmosphere that I can't remember seeing in any other film - that weird, still hum of promise and violence of a city at night. If you haven't, you should.

unlabelledView post →AFTER HOURS POST. My grand daughter Aubrey still wants to change her name to Aubrey Starr and become a movie star. I dig that about her.
unlabelledView post →Both of them, basically carbon copies of AFTER HOURS. It's always the exact same movie with this dude. I mean, have you seen ALICE DOESN'T LIVE HERE ANYMORE? Or THE LAST WALTZ? All of them, IDENTICAL.

unlabelledView post →The Age of Innocence and Kundun are probably tied for my favorite Scorsese film - with After Hours close behind
unlabelledView post →got to see @emilyhughes.bsky.social yesterday AND got to see The Wicker Man (1975) for the first time, which is a perfect movie that really isn’t scary at all, and also is essentially the same movie as After Hours (non-scary horror movies where the monster is one guy’s terminal case of Can’t Hang)
unlabelledView post →If After Hours is the ‘I gotta quit coke’ movie, Goodfellas is ‘OK I quit coke’ & Casino is (in part) ‘oh no what now’

unlabelledView post →what movie defines the 80s for you? me being me, i picked 4: Desperately Seeking Susan, Valley Girl, To Live and Die in LA and After Hours. all four for me really represent the 80s aesthetic so perfectly with first rate storytelling from phenomenal directors.
unlabelledView post →Picking a random film from my collection to show off for no real reason! Day #284 "After Hours" (Martin Scorsese/1985) Scorsese's excellent one-crazy-night dark comedy/thriller. Top tier, you really need to check this film out!
unlabelledView post →I also feel this way about The Wicker Man, a movie with the same plot and message as After Hours
unlabelledView post →I got oddly emotional when my AFTER HOURS 4K showed up. That film barely existed for sooooooooo long. It's so nice to see it being shown some love and respect.

unlabelledView post →On this day (25th September) in 1987, the Scala Cinema was showing The Man With Two Brains (1983), After Hours (1985) and Bad (1977) as a ‘black comedy’ triple bill. TMWTB is out and out comedy in my view but it’s a fascinating set of films.

unlabelledView post →As yuppies-in-peril films go, Into the Night is better than Something Wild, but not as good as After Hours. The film plays as a fun comedy for long stretches, with lots of surprisingly serious moments. It is oddly dramatic, as it impersonates Hitchcock at times, and manages to be over-long but pacy.

unlabelledView post →Not sure how popular they were with the One Perfect Shot audience, but I enjoyed creating & sharing #film collages, like this one devoted to Martin Scorsese's AFTER HOURS. unlabelledView post →I know (different) people that worked on After Hours & Bringing Out the Dead. Mostly nights; third shift film shoots are rough. After Hours + Bringing Out the Dead are both hallucinatory trips fueled by lack of sleep + zero daylight; one could say Scorsese goes on the same journey his characters do
