And i love pretty much everything about the game. It is fast, precise, has a banger OST and awesome graphics and is just awesome to play! If you're a fan of fast-paced, action-based 2D platformer and leaderboards, get it. You won't regret it, especially if you're a fan of speedruns.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The Dialog alone is a reason not to touch this game. The writing is horrible, the voice acting is abysmal, and if you try to skip past the dialog all the audio recordings of people continue playing and eventually results in dozens of people talking at the same time on top of each other.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →SNAPSHOT Precision platformer that plays like the entire budget was spent on cinematics and voice acting. OVERALL - 2 / 10 PROS + in-game art is pretty good CONS - absurdly frustrating collision detection - collectibles-focused but has awful tracking / UX - horrendous camera + controls FULL REVIEW If there's one thing I can't stand in games it's bad controls - tenfold for games that fundamentally demand you to be pixel perfect while not even remotely being built to support it in the first…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →+Good Mechanics and Movement +Good visuals and overall presentation -Extremely low difficulty for a "precision platformer". -Highly repetitive "cookie cutter" stages, every new world seems to basically just be a color palette swap. In summary, the game is well made, but very repetitive and IMO boring. Outside of leaderboard competition, the game doesn't really offer much in terms of in-game challenges or achievements. The collectibles are often barely hidden and trivial to obtain. The opening…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →There's potential but ruined by a couple of things: - The jump is so wide that you can get stuck between 2 platforms with a huge gap between them - the dagger is 8 directional and sometimes you're not sure if you're going to send it up or diagonal until its done - no button to recall dagger to compensate for previous - the restart button is sloooow and for a game made around going fast/trying over and over until no mistakes this is a killer - no clear reason to go after collectibles/gems or…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It feels like the base for a good game is in here, but what the designers came up with is just so boring and pointless. You run around trying to reach the goal in 30 seconds. That's the game. Collect "stuff" on the way to get "points". So much fun, it's like game design from the 80's or the early era of mobile games. All these mechanics, art, music and coding for this simplistic concept that gets boring after 2 levels.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I wanted to love this game. It's aesthetically pretty, the music is great, the dialogue and banter are fun, and the voice acting is 10/10. However NONE of what the writer sets up (eg the black market gangsters targeting you, someone accidentally taking the core, etc) ever happen. They're just things that Vera says to add flavor to the narrative and all it does it take away from the narrative. The story also requires you to beat 20 levels PER story beat and only after getting all 100 crystals…

You'll need skill and responsiveness. Un juego ubicado en la ciudad de Barcelona con una estética retro y un ritmo desenfrenado. Bate tus propios récords de velocidad y juega con amigos. Necesitarás habilidad y capacidad de reacción.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I bought this game on sale for $5. And after dredging through and completing it, I wouldn't fathom spending the full $15. There's a game here that you can get some enjoyment out of, but it's completely ruined by the repetitive level design, abysmal control layout (on keyboard, haven't tried controller), and lack of game mechanics. It's trying to be a puzzle platformer and an action platformer at the same time, and it does neither well. There's literally 3 enemy types throughout all 100 stages,…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Really fast platformer, it's so fun to improve the time from your last run while exploring the map. The dagger rules.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Action platformer + cyberpunk music/scenes + co-op = Dash through levels as fast as you can. Use the power sword, teleportation dagger to zip past lasers and more. Has speedrun timer and leaderboards. positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →5/10, a soulless game; what makes indie games appealing is the charm not the solid mechanics Pros: - Short levels (30 sec) = great for speed running and leader board bragging - Good visuals - Mechanically fluid and responsive Cons: - Shallow story; if you can even call that a story - Poor level design; levels feels randomly generated rather than hand crafted with care - Repetitive game play; lack of introducing new mechanics as the game progress - Poor color choices; the level hazards can be…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →As someone who has been a part of the open beta since it was first available, Aeon Drive is an incredibly polished indie game and platformer. The most obvious standout elements is the aesthetic and music. Good golly it's got some beautiful pixel and a wonderful tune worth jamming to. I was even surprised they had added the VO and intro cinematic to the start. Of course these two elements marry nicely with the speedrunning aspect of the game, which has had a lot of fine tuning. The mechanics…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Another one from the series "Too Ugly To Post", but yet here I post it. I made it in 2022 and it's quite ugly ngl. I made it around the time Aeon Drive was released, maybe someday I'll give the game a replay and draw a fan art once again 💙 #AeonDrive #FanArt #Illustration #Drawing #Art #Stylized
unlabelledView post →Quite a nice platformer. If you are a casual player like me and wanting to enjoy the game in a pace of your preference, make sure to turn off the timer. Also, its native Linux support is great! 🤘🏻
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Addictive game play! I don't consider myself to be a speedrunner but I do love a precision platformer with style and character. After each level I find myself wanting to play just one more. The pixel art is bold, bright, and detailed, befitting of a location as Neo Barcelona - a spectacular cyberpunk inspired setting. The synth soundtrack is equally fitting for the fast paced kinetic game and neon trappings. The feature mechanic of the game is your dagger, which you throw to desirable…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I beat the first 4 (out of 10) worlds and stopped, it's not fun. The levels are not challenging to beat, the game has a focus on speedrun but unless you care about leaderboards there are no challenges related to speed in-game except for an achievement for beating every level without using time extenders (i've easily beat the first 40 levels without using it so it's not even a challenge). There's no "beat the stage under x seconds" kind of challenges wich is super weird for the kind of game it…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Literally the best speed game I have ever played, gonna be playing this for far too long.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very solid platformer with tight controls and an addicting speedrunning aspect that makes me want to crawl my way up the leaderboards. Also the soundtrack is great
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fast and thrilling. The production value is top-notch. And that teleportation dagger is super fun for speedrunning.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →this scratches my katana zero itch was a bit sceptical in the tutorial, but when you get past it stuff gets really good a few stages into the game so far, controls are spot on dont be scared off by the speedrun vibe
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I REALLY LOVE THE ART DESIGN. Music is simple but very good at the same time, level design is okay. Gameplay is very fluid and fun, there are many ways to complete a level and I like it. PC controls are bad, I recommend playing on controller. Game having multiplayer is just very good, an extra that is very appreciated. I got this game for less than a dollar, it feels like stealing!!! Pls give this game a chance.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Pretty fun platformer The controls are responsive and liked the core gameplay Its fast paced and level based Looking forward to the teams next game
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Completed all levels and got all gems within 3 hours. Worth the cost at its regular discount. Proposal: don't design the levels such that the camera hides insta-kill enemies/hazards when you fall down or ascend... across at least a dozen stages.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Unfortunately, a game that makes for good demo doesn't always justify the $14.99 sticker price, which is why it's on sale for 90% off. Soundtrack is great. It was marketed well. The VA did a good job. Graphics are... ok. But the gameplay has you stuck in a "training montage" (ala 80s fighting movie) that never ends and is made to be punishing. The frenetic gameplay doesn't couple well with an awkward keyboard control scheme.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is fun, story is ok, soundtrack is good, collectibles are in good hiding spots and trying to claim the number one spot in the leader-boards is challenging.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →there is no game ever with more frustrating controls that make you want to break your steam deck over your head while yelling ♥♥♥♥ and then have to apologize to your sissy dog that gets offended at cursing

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Aeon Drive, developed by 2Awesome Studio and published by CRITICAL REFLEX, delivers an intense and stylish action-platformer experience set in a futuristic, neon-drenched vision of Barcelona. The game places players in the role of Jackelyne, a space ranger stranded in this cyberpunk city after a crash. With her ship damaged and time running out, her mission is to navigate through a series of fast-paced levels to collect Drive Cores and repair her ship before it's too late. This urgent premise…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →if i could refund it i would
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game is ok, but there are a couple of issues that make it outright annoying to play: - dagger sometimes does not trigger switches, only fixable via dying - screen sometimes moves far away so character is suddenly offscreen - character hitbox is super weird. Also the collectibles feel unnecessary somehow.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A game, where you face unrelenting time flow and high difficulty.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The repetitive stage by stage game to grind it while thinking to yourself you're losing your time, but keep doing it. Like heroine. You just need the 0.1s elevation.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great and super fast game, I love the dagger mechanic and how you can use it in creative ways to navigate the levels - there are 100 of them and several ways to complete each one. I've been trying as hard as I could and I could not even make the top-10 in any of the levels. Pure adrenaline for speed-runner fans, totally recommended.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is really fun to speedrun and try to get top times on each level. It would be super cool if you could see replays of the leaderboard times so you could know what route to take to improve your time.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →My god! This game plays so fast that a Big Mac will become slow food for you. Try it if you want to overclock your brains. It gets even better with friends!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Controls feel janky af
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Either this is too hard, the controls are meh, game design is bad or maybe I have skill issue. I think you should either rebind keys or use controller. Don't think it's worth the full price.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game giving you a rush almost every time you clear a level because you would often get a few seconds short of finishing it. But then you're immediately hit with a leaderboard to see that other players actually spent like 8-15 seconds on a level. Amazing exprience.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →it's an ok platformer. i think its fun and i like the teleporting knife mechanic, however theres like a lot i dislike here. i do like the art but the cyberpunk vibe is way too generic for me. i think most cyberpunk games/movies/media is so blended together in the "bright neon city with japanese lady hologram dancing and big skyscraper and floating cars" and it just screams generic to me. but i do think the art is vibrant, colorful, and fun to look at. the levels blend together like the…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a very good example of a fun speedrunner puzzle platformer that you don't need to completely no-life to actually have fun with. The gameplay is very quick and responsive and the bit style graphics are amazing! You get a few tools to work with, mainly your teleport dagger, sword for melee attacks, and a slide and the game finds all sorts of ways to creatively use your few moves in as many unique ways as possible, adding new level gimmicks as the game goes on that amp up the difficulty in…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Pretty fun and short precision-speedrun platformer. Some Feedback for the devs: - Pixelart looks great, but it's so detailed that it makes it hard to see what's going on sometimes - The icon for "beat a level without using time capsules" disappearing is counterintuitive, it makes it feel like we missed something; maybe use the icon and put a red X on it, or a 0, as a better indicator - Camera doesn't always show what the player needs to see
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I love the cute girl
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →THE GAME CAN'T EVEN RUN!!!!!
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Really only get this if you're into speedrunning platforming leaderboard chasing. The game involves gettting from one end of a level within 30 seconds for 90 levels. This is deceptively a speedrunning game that happens to be a precision platformer with action elements. However, the stock game is way too easy with a very similiar worldbuilding structure. I can tell a lot of passion was put into this game, and I'm giving it a thumbs up for that. But it's still a hard sell. Soundtrack,…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Its alright. Pixel art is great (the background art is easily the best part of the game, IMO), animations are great, music is good; nothing memorable, but it never gets stale since the music changes every zone, of which there are ten. I wasn't expecting this game to have an intro which was a nice surprise, for the budget it was pretty good. Its a shame that the music for the intro isn't seen anywhere else in the game, especially since the music appears to cut off early since the intro finishes…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →fast paced action , katana zero meets celeste I had issues on my steamdeck with the text box display (it was all black) didnt have issues with the game performance, but otherwise I really enjoyed it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I was almost late to work bc I was so immersed in this game, which is an L for me but a win for the game. Anyway I found it really fun, I love the fast pace and the challenge of the clock plus trying to find diamonds and hot dogs and data cubes adds another fun layer. I think it’s a perfect mix of difficult and playable, where it’s challenging in a fun way.
