Review ✒️ Overview Destiny Star Girlfriend 2 is an eroge visual novel that, despite the number two in its name, is not a direct sequel to the first title. This installment is more like an alternate route where the events of the first game do not take place, so instead of the protagonist Joe Seiji entering into a relationship with Yuuri Kamiizumi, he now enters into a relationship with Maja Krienke, who was the antagonist of Destiny Star Girlfriend 1. So this title can be enjoyed even if you…

Destiny Star Girlfriend 1 was already one of my biggest pleasant surprise reads when it was released in English in 2023. How do you improve upon that in the numbered sequel? Replace a heroine I only kind of liked with one who is MUCH more my type and now one of my new favorites. Despite Destiny Star Girlfriend 2 being a numbered sequel, it's more or less Maja's route, as the very beginning of the story serves as the branching point for each entry. While this is still very much a light-hearted…

Steam version is the censored version. At time of posting there doesn't seem to be a patch for it either. The main problem with this is that CG's that aren't even lewd are missing, oftentimes replaced by straight up black screens.

As a visual novel I'll give this a 7.5/10(I am generous with my ratings, basically average) As an eroge(with the patches and stuff) I'll give it 3/10, the scenes were there, but they had the same issue as the first game, too short, or if not short, then weirdly long, just weird length issues with the scenes, somehow they thought putting petra would be a good idea in one of the scenes, there's way too little plot and way too many H scenes at near the end of the game, there's no background moans…

Destiny Star Girlfriend 2 is a romantic fantasy visual novel developed by mirai and published by Shiravune that continues the charming blend of supernatural adventure, comedy, and heartfelt romance established by its predecessor. Rather than simply revisiting familiar territory, this installment introduces a new heroine and a fresh storyline while expanding the magical universe that surrounds the series. Through a combination of engaging character interactions, magical conflicts, and…

Maja is the best, but it feels like it loses steam towards the end, when the couple is already stablished. It's still good, but despite a great first half, it leaves a weaker impression than the first game.

Destiny Star Girlfriend 2 was a sequel I was super excited for, and I am glad that it brought the same charm as the first game. Although the main heroine Maja of this story does not have as strong a character as Kamiizumi from the first game she still has her own distinct personality that made this sequel just as great a read as the first one. The story itself is just as short but they pack enough small moments in that really make the characters shine. The art style and music selection is still…

To be honest I didn't have much expectations going in because Maja wasn't really fleshed out that much in the first game but I was pleasantly surprised. She is developed well here and while not as insane and unhinged as Yuuri her girlfriend mode is rather adorable. She also comes with a nice bonus.......find out yourself what that is. :D Heck, even Sabnock, the main big bad was portrayed in an interesting way. (actually it was hilarious and super amusing to me) Besides, there are all those…

Destiny Star Girlfriend 2 is more of the same as one - it's an interesting single-route visual novel with some comedic elements. Whether or not you like this entry will almost entirely be based on whether you like the heroine - Maja - and I found her to be interesting and cute. Maja is a bit airheaded and a bit of a donkan, but is very cute. The comedy in DSG 2 is a bit more varied than it was in the original DSG. There are 10 average or so ecchi scenes per the scene viewer, including one…

Like the first game you can't go wrong here for a decent ecchi rom-com, with solid jokes and a warm atmosphere. The art and presentation continues to seemingly be working within a limited budget, but is successful within those limitations. It differentiates itself from the first game well, replacing the Magical-Girl-As-Corporate-Ladder-Job comedy with Maja's fish-out-of-water jokes as a good natured foreign magical girl.

Enjoy Destiny Star Girlfriend 1? Maja is a pretty different heroine, but it still has the same great humor.

Curator review of Mirai and Shiravune's Destiny Star Girlfriend 2 “Destiny Star Girlfriend 2 is the trilogy's second installment, featuring a lighthearted story with funny moments, beautiful hand-drawn character sprites and still images, and top-notch voice acting.”
