There exists no algorithm that can determine what 3d shape a particular 8x8 NES tile should be. These games have been gone over by hand, and with genuine love of the source material. Examples: The tapestries in stage one of Castlevania ripple in the wind and cast shadows on the wall! The balloons in Balloon Fight are now round! Most of them are just flat with indentions into the "screen" to appear 3D. Just a trick of negative space. It isn't actually 3D, nor does it project the worlds like advertised. Just refunding at this point. Maybe revisit in a few years if games are ACTUALLY supported properly.

The controls for Vive have it so that touching the touch pad rotates the view, but you have to press that same pad to access the menu. So you're constantly accidentally rotating the view! Also some games have special effects like curtains of Castlevania, or you can play Duck Hunt, Hogan's Alley & Wild Gunman with HTC Vive wands or Oculus Touch as a Zapper, better combination if you use 8bitdo NES bluetooth controller. I hope developer would make updates in a future with more games or other systems! :)

There have been numerous tittles and there are still being added to the library. It's not expensive to make a one time purchase. You also get the opportunity to modify NES tittles yourself and bring them to life in 3D VR ! There's a little bit of a learning curve, but nothing you can't learn through a video or two, it's pretty fun.

I struggled to navigate to the ROM folder, then struggled to load a rom. I did this in desktop mode. after getting the rom connected I launched into vr and simply could not get a game to launch. no amount of clicking or hitting enter would work. Even if it were free it would not be worth the frustration.

I don't disagree with the idea of paying for an emulator, though I do think it's valid to pay someone for their work and this falls well in line with that.
