Critics, per Wikipedia
The series was presented at the Tokyo International Film Festival (TIFFCOM 2025), where the four main actors participated in promotional activities. Taiwanese media highlighted the chemistry between the actors and the international interest in the production. In May 2025, actor Chen Xiangxi was investigated on suspicion of evading mandatory military service in Taiwan, being taken in for questioning during filming. The production decided to remove his scenes and replace him with Chu Menghsuan in the role. Producer Pan Xinhui stated that the company suffered losses and filed a lawsuit against the actor.

I've seen it on Viki, Youku, Gagaoolala, and iQIYI (I think). #BLSeries www.viki.com/tv/41438c-wi...

Ahead of the finale airing June 4th on @gagaoolala.bsky.social, Cruising Cinema is delighted to share a chat with the cast and crew👇🏻 www.cruisingcinema.com/wishing-upon...

Wishing Upon The Shooting Stars had some top tier yearning, as well! And Phop had the ultimate Big Brown Cow Eyes of Yearning in Love Upon a Time.

unlabelledView post →This was an excellent series, for the most part. It was about a young man whose life was falling apart so one night he made a wish to live a different life and the wish came true. Like the old saying goes, be careful of what you wish for because you might just get it. Along the way he learns some very valuable lessons about love, life and managing expectations of himself and those around him. The story progressed nicely, then in episode 8 they decide to move in a slightly different direction.…

Here’s the reason: Usually, my readers have watched the series I’m reviewing. “Wishing Upon the Shooting Stars“ (WUTSS), however, has remained below the radar of some BL fans, due to the large number of series airing at the same time. If you haven’t watched it yet, I highly recommend you to do so, and it will take you on an exciting journey into the unknown and the unexpected,…
positive · AI labelView post →—right now will be taken under advisement. Do know that if it came out in the 80s, 90s, or 00s, I have probably seen it if it's a romcom. 😅 Dramas I am currently watching: Love Upon a Time, Perfect Crown, Fake Fact Lips, and Wishing Upon The Shooting Stars.
