The timed labyrinth puzzle, where one person directs while the other person runs, is quite possibly the worst co-op puzzle in any co-op puzzle game ever in a popular puzzle game franchise. It's even worse than the earlier cube-based puzzle. It relies on: 1) instantaneous telepathy, 2) that your partner sees where you are with 0 nanosecond latency between your computers, or 3) Memorizing the pathing ahead of time, which defeats the entire purpose of playing co-op. The cutoff on the timer is so…

We Were Here is a well-known cooperative adventure puzzle game. In this one, you'll be trapped in a castle with a series of puzzles where you must communicate with your partner either by in-game voice chat or an external means. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3781154261 The atmosphere is dark and mysterious; you can see the scattered books, read a couple of those, and even recreate a reticle in order to unlock a door. Each player has a different role; one can describe…

This game is less of a puzzle-solver and more of a "how long can I talk into a radio before my friend loses their mind" test. You’re trapped in separate rooms, desperately trying to describe a weird symbol that looks like a pregnant spider, while your partner is screaming because they’re about to be drowned or crushed. Communication is everything, but somehow you’ll realize that you and your best friend speak two completely different languages. It’s a terrifying and brilliant experience where…

I enjoyed playing the first game, as the concept of solving and explaining puzzles to each other in co-op was a lot of fun. However, this sequel is just insanely hard. There are puzzles where the differences you need to communicate are so negligible that you are prone to making mistakes. Additionally, many puzzles stress you out with moving walls or lava that kill you if you don't solve them fast enough. This completely ruins the experience of solving puzzles together, and it often leads to…

If you played the first game, you definitely know what to expect. This is essentially the same game, but with a larger number of puzzles, and they are more sophisticated this time around. In short, it's a puzzle game where you solve everything through voice communication with your partner, and this is the only way to play it. I had an absolute blast playing this game. The maze sequence was communication heaven (or hell) and the theatre section completely melted my brain. Technically, the…

Maybe its my machine but this game has had so many issues, with reseting my progress for no reason and that fact that visability in this game is so poor that I cant tell what im looking at half the time. Specifically for the maze and X's I cant see where a wall is and where a wall isnt.

This game is trash. Maze has no error frame or hesitation. Half of the games you need to get a precise description of your mate while the timer is going too fast Skill issue if u want Now add a bug where your sensivity makes you need to do 5 slide on your mouse pad for a 360 ! Great !!!! ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ joke, it's like 10x worse than first game, don't spend a coin on this

You can absolutely skip this game In the We Were Here franchise, this has to be my least favorite. The game feels very clunky and unpolished. The maze puzzle is just way too frame perfect to complete without external communication, also having to replay the entire game because you missed one switch for the "Good Ending" is a horrible experience, the puzzles are just a bit too hard for that to be reasonable. I believe that overall the very first game is more enjoyable than this one in…

The game was a graphical improvement over the free one, it was challenging and interesting hence the reason I bought the bundle because of the free game. The reason I cannot recommend this game is because of the time based maze puzzle, there is no other way to put it other than it's absolutely sucks. I tried guiding my friend through it multiple times, but because of internet delays it was literally impossible, Clever puzzles sure, time-based idiotic puzzles? no thank you, if you'd give us…

I would definitely recommend all games from the We Were Here Series. They are short puzzle adventures that are fantastic to play with a friend. You have to work together to solve the challenges/puzzles. Communication, team work and trust are essential to survive. My only complaint about the entire series...the first playthrough is great on either end. The next play through experiencing it from the other role...doesn't add much in my opinion. Here are my rankings of what I enjoyed from best to…

The first game was really fun, so was FriendSHIP. This one, is an absolute disaster. ZERO hints. ZERO directions. The puzzles make no logical sense & the sixth room puzzle's timer is WAY too short. It's really rare that I rage quit a game, but this one got me. Hopefully the rest of the series is better than this pile of trash.

Like all the games in the We Were Here series, I do recommend the 2nd part. Even though people are complaining about a certain "maze level", it is not really true at all. You just need good communiction, since communication is king in this game, don't play it with a stranger you can't talk with. It is a fair challenge, we didn't struggle that much.

Yes and no. It was fun when it was working but I had a lot of issues: The game shouldn't have taken us 4 hours but only 1-1.5 hours. We wasted 1.5 hours in room 2 because we didn't realize that the game was bugged. The shrine wasn't showing anything on the ground after completing those two "rug" riddles. We had to restart the game couple more times later (stairs riddle. Nothing was happening.). I really hope this connection sync things work better in next games. Lore: Half of the books…

Why you should or should not play We Were Here Too Before You Read Every review on my profile is based on my own personal experience with a game. My opinions aren't facts, and you're not expected to agree with them-and that's perfectly okay. My goal isn't to tell you whether you should like a game. Instead, I try to explain what worked for me, what didn't, and who I think the game might appeal to. Constructive discussion is always welcome, but please remember there's a real person…

Overall, there isn’t much you can really say about this game, because it’s neither above nor below your expectations. It’s a puzzle game designed for two players. One player performs one specific role, and the other performs a different one. For example, one describes what they see, and the other inputs what the first player sees, and so on. So if you enjoy puzzles that are above average in difficulty, you’ll definitely like this game.

When I get an in-game checkpoint, I should actually be given that checkpoint instead of having to redo the same puzzles over and over. If the game says I get a checkpoint, when I load back into the game, I should load at that checkpoint. This issue shouldn't happen in any game and it definitely shouldn't happen in a game released in 2018.

I was very displeased with this game. All the others have been a blast or at the minimum fun. A lot of puzzles aren't as intuitive or forgiving as other installments. (The maze required super tight timing to a frustrating degree.) Perhaps part of the difficulty was my partner but all other games I played with them were fine. This is a horrible puzzle game. Just unnecessarily frustrating because of god awful controls on both m+k and controller. The cubes spinning all over the place when I'm hitting 1 directional input is just ridiculous. I know it's an older game but the controls are worse than an n64 game from 30 years ago which makes absolutely no sense. I was going to pick up the rest of the games in the series but I'm thankful I didn't because this is just absolute dog water.

This genuinely might be my least favourite video game of all time. This game is a masterclass on what NOT to do when trying to create something fun. The puzzles and controls are finnicky, the "lore" is super lame, and the game looks and feels like it was hobbled together on unity as a last minute school project. It is a genuine MIRACLE that the other games in this franchise (including the one BEFORE this game) are really fun and actually worth your time. F*** this stupid game, 1/10.

A good short puzzle game to play with friends and a decent sequel to We Were Here. Personally, I find the puzzles in the previous game more interesting and unique than in this one. Most of the puzzles in this game are time-sensitive instead of focusing on communication and how to solve them strategically with friends.

Puzzles just aren't that fun or well designed. The main gimmick of the game is that it's asymmetric: you and your buddy are in separate rooms, so the gameplay is not so much solving the actual puzzles as much as it is taking turns at describing your surroundings to figure who has to do what. The soundtrack is also quite bad, most of the tracks consist of a short, infuriating loop. During timed puzzles a fast paced track will usually start playing, but the main, chill theme doesn't stop, so…
