A recommendation from a friend who has studied France of the Revolutionary and Napoleonic eras: We the Revolution, a video game meant to depict the experience of being a revolutionary.

We. The Revolution is a fantastic game! Exactly my kind of resource management mixed with visual novel. One of my favorite combinations! #indiegames #indiecreators store.steampowered.com/app/736850/W...

Just found that We. The Revolution has a free demo. Intriguing game, well worth having students do a historical analysis of. SENSITIVE CONTENT in violence (in static serious-cartoon cut-scenes) and some inappropriately foul and sometimes misogynistic speech bubbles from the crowd in the trials. 1/

Have you heard of "We. The Revolution"? 2019 computer game where you play the role of judge in the revolutionary court system. It isn't great, but has some interesting ideas.

I’ve made several attempts to design my own game but I’m committing to putting together a text-based Twine game based on Machiavelli’s The Prince. My hope is for it to be as grueling as We. The Revolution.

We. The Revolution is a political sim game, based in revolutionary Paris, where every choice really does matter. Trying to keep the common people, revolutionaries and your own family happy really isn't an easy task. youtu.be/7gXeefwJMsM

Well, We, The Revolution has turned out to be a disappointment. A political intrigue game with morally grey choices and high stakes gets ruined by railroading, bad RNG, and changing the game mechanics DRASTICALLY on a dime, as well as punishing the player for story beats.
