60 of 60 · most liked firstFor #RandomGameSaturday, an IndieBox collector's edition of Wasteland 2. I volunteered at their offices a few times to help pack releases and they'd let you take home a game you packed. Delightful lil' love letter more for the Fallout 1 & 2 fans than the name lets on.
unlabelledView post →I second this advice. I was looking for a new isometric RPG after being disappointed by Wasteland 2, and os2 was on sale. I started playing, was sucked in immediately, and couldn't believe the game was so good. Only pricked is that one vendor...yall who have played it know who I mean

unlabelledView post →And for all the Fallout groundwork that was Tim Cain, who was winging a lot of it all on his own in the early 90s because he wanted to make a sequel to an old-ass game named Wasteland, but no one had the rights to Wasteland. 2/
unlabelledView post →fun fact: Doom and I finished Wasteland 2 at the end of June 2024. It's been nearly 2 years since we played a longform game onstream together. There isn't a single person on the planet I have better on-air chemistry with. Nobody.
unlabelledView post →Basically my game design mixes old Ultima games with Fallout 1 / Wasteland 2. It takes away percentage success skills in lieu of "if you have the skill you just do it & it works". All the percentage success stuff makes me do is save scum until my 1% chance of doing The Thing [TM] pops. 😅

unlabelledView post →Wasteland 2 is a good game because it makes me say things like, "On my next playthrough I need to pick up as much pigeon shit as possible"
unlabelledView post →You grind just Hand to hand on some mud crabs. How exactly are you unable to progress? Another person can't get past Wasteland 2, a squad and turn based gun game you can beat with a pure melee team. Fallout 2 apparently has apparently an exceedingly hard tutorial if you built for guns and didn't
unlabelledView post →I disagree. The cycle of playing a game for two hours, realizing your build is wrong/bad, and restarting is what made me pick up the jrpg. Wasteland 2 is fun and all but I can only play the build roulette so many times before I move on. I only have so much time left on this earth.
unlabelledView post →Wasteland 2 and 3 is a better example, since the original 1988 game was not meant to be retrofuturistic but then the sequels, inspired partly by Fallout's success at 50s retrofuture, went hard on 80s retrofuture there
unlabelledView post →TW 3 complains a bit but runs anyway. For Wasteland 2 I had to change the compatibility to Proton experimental. For one game the mouse cursor active point was a little off from where it should've been but I think if I run it full-screen it'll fix it. I expected half to work and got them all to.
unlabelledView post →Wasteland (1988) to Wasteland 2 (2014) was 26 years. But if you don't count that because the first game didn't have a number, then Kingdom Hearts 2 (2005) to Kingdom Hearts 3 (2019) was 14 years. If GTA6 releases in 2025 as planned, then it will only be 12 years after GTA5 (2013).
unlabelledView post →Fallout: Tactics made me realise how important the even minor amount of dialogue options you're given in Icewind Dale were to me. Not everything is people talking at me, while my PC has seemingly no internality. Basically, the game I want Fallout: Tactics to be exists and it is called Wasteland 2.
unlabelledView post →Now, as for the game the Act I: I play on easy diffuclty, because you couldn't make me care about the abundance of technical info about skills and the like in this game. I only finished BG3 and Wasteland 2-3 because I knew enough about D&D and Wasteland is easier in terms of skills and such.
unlabelledView post →☢️Two days ago i started a new run🏜🎖I never finished Wasteland 2 Something always came up, and I started it many times. Maybe it will work this time, it's a great game👌🏻☢️ #Wasteland2 #InXile
unlabelledView post →I've not bought a Fallout game since NV, 3 wasn't respectful to begin with and everything since has been godawful. I have Wasteland 2 and 3 waiting for me to finally dig in, and that seems plenty.

unlabelledView post →inXile had a rough start with The Bard's Tale, but they've since made some decent games like Wasteland 2 and 3, Torment: Tides of Numenera and The Bard's Tale IV: Barrow's Deep. Even so, they haven't released a new game since 2020 and are mainly working on Clockwork Revolution for Xbox now.
unlabelledView post →Yeah, just... don't break a new Ultima/Ultima-adjacent game and then never fix it like InXile did with Wasteland 2 lol
unlabelledView post →Got to visit a neutral civilian town that's then attacked by tech raiders half way through the mission which neat, but uh, why is it 13 missions until we get the premise of "visit town." I do realise ultimately the game that I am longing for here is Wasteland 2.
unlabelledView post →New revelation, I have the ET the video game dumping ground in Wasteland 2
unlabelledView post →Note 2: This rule held true for every game I tried except Wasteland 2, which was different. I wonder if it's because I started that one in Windows and had sync'd saves? Hmm. Mysteries to be explored later. Compatdata lurks in: /home/your_username/.steam/steam/steamapps/
unlabelledView post →Wasteland 2/3 were solid enough RPG's and InXile's team was packing heat, I somewhat trust it even if might not the *best* game in the world but the fact it's the team's first foray into doing a first person game that's also going to be a RPG with time travel causality does worry me a bit
unlabelledView post →Just finished Wasteland 2 (2014). I feel like I could replay it and get a mostly different 50 hour playthrough based on alternative choices. Using skills felt too slow, travel times in the large environments were excessive, and combat could've been faster. A fun, silly world to explore and affect.
unlabelledView post →Lmao I rage quit that fucking game years ago. Made me appreciate the RNG on Wasteland 2.
unlabelledView post →Roommate got Wasteland 2 and I knew this game was based on Fallout 1 but WOW that's egregious
unlabelledView post →ooooh, that book looks cool It's also in a museum section of your faction's base in Wasteland 2! You can fiddle with it, and it turns out thee warhead is still active. it's a game over if you keep fiddling and launch the thing indoors, because lol.
unlabelledView post →My sons said most likely, Wasteland 2, but they can narrow it down by the genre of game. Eg, is it a CRPG?
unlabelledView post →26. Wasteland 2: Director's cut. Another game I backed on Kickstarter. It's a very solid isometric rpg. It doesn't feel anything like fallout though, so don't expect that going in.
unlabelledView post →If you're gonna play a 'modern' Fallout game, that's one to play, but calling it a CRPG is a bit of a stretch. Its still a Bethesday fallout, even with Obsidian giving a go at it. Honestly if you want that CRPG vibe, Wasteland 2 is basically a fallout game.
unlabelledView post →I was an early supporter of the Wasteland 2 kickstarter and got to create an in-game character. My mum had recently passed away at the time so I decided to "immortalize" her by adding her to the game.
unlabelledView post →Really good game that I for some reason never finished... And my mum is a NPC in Wasteland 2. 😁
unlabelledView post →It looks nice, though, and I like the good ol' "good or evil" stuff. In Wasteland 2 you're able to play good guy all the way through but in W3, no matter what you do, it will end in conflict, which is the one thing that I don't like about that game. I mean, I always want a peaceful and happy end.
unlabelledView post →Fallout 1 is the spiritual successor to Wasteland 1, which definitely _is_ a very hard game to play. But Wasteland 2 and Wasteland 3 are *much* more recent. They're modern games designed in the style of Fallout 1 & 2.
unlabelledView post →I soloed Wasteland 2 on Supreme Jerk using nothing but explosives and beat the game. I feel like that’s something I have to put on the record in case I die without anyone knowing.
unlabelledView post →A sublime 10/10 gaming experience is one you usually do to have done, like a vacation- the memories stick with you & are cherished. A solid 6-8/10 is like a hearty meal that soothes the mind & body. A meat & potatoes game- your Biomutant, Kingdoms of Amalur, or Wasteland 2
unlabelledView post →Kind of agree! Games often start strong and then rince and repeat the same thing for hours until they get interesting again. But there are exceptions that warrant longer playtime. Wasteland 2 and 3 come to mind. But personally, I rarely go over 30 hours on the same game.
unlabelledView post →Finishing Citizen Sleeper 2 has opened up my "thinky game" slot? Should I play: - 1000xResist - Arco - Tactical Breach Wizards - Wasteland 2 - Disco Elysium - ... something else?
unlabelledView post →If you see this, let us know your top 10 games: 1. Path of Exile (1+2) 2. Witcher series 3. Elden Ring 4. Baldurs Gate 3 5. Wasteland 2+3 6. The Cat Lady 7. Ark 8. Green Hell 9. Cities Skylines 10. Anno 1800
unlabelledView post →Have you played Wasteland 2? If not, it might recapture some of the feeling. Even if it doesn't exactly do it, it's a great game that more people should play. Wasteland 3 is great as well but it's a bit simplified and I think anyone who enjoyed Fallout 2 might like Wasteland 2 more than 3.
unlabelledView post →I think Wasteland 2 is probably my most niche game that I'd consider a favorite. I don't really see it talked about all that much, which I feel is a shame. It scratches that itch for a post-apocalyptic crpg that Fallout kinda moved away from in recent years.
unlabelledView post →Game 43: Wasteland 3 I can finally say that I beat the game. I played in 2020 and again in 2022 but stopped for reasons that i don't remember. I really enjoyed Wasteland 2 so was happy to finally beat 3. This game hold up to the 2nd and keeps many of the things i liked from 2.
unlabelledView post →I have backed like 3 video game kickstarters in my life. Wasteland 2 delivered Cryamore....well it imploded and its developer went nuts Artizens failed to deliver
unlabelledView post →Wasteland 2 is absolutely one of my favourite games (directors cut), but also, you *gotta* know your way around the turn based RPG mechanics and be willing to put in the work getting things right. A high effort high reward game if ever there was one.
unlabelledView post →I managed to play through all of Wasteland 2 this way even though that is 100% not how they want you to play that game.
unlabelledView post →I don't know what it is, but I really, really like the world of Wasteland 2. I'm not very far into the game (20% as a wild guestimate) and what has been there so far actually has all been really generic. But it feels nice. It looks really nice, But I think it might be more because of the character writing. There are raiders and mutants you fight a lot, but the people you talk to seem like reasonable people living regular lives most of the time. #Wasteland2 #worldbuilding #crpg
unlabelledView post →Only 10 minutes into resuming my 2 year old Wasteland 2 save and completely getting my ass handed to me on the encounter I had been stuck on last time I played, and immediately remembering why tactics RPGs are the coolest shit ever. #crpg #Wasteland2 #TacticsRPG
unlabelledView post →Just played Wasteland 2. Not recommended. Although at first engaging and nostalgic, Wasteland 2 becomes offensively, unbearably long. The time investment the game demands becomes so absurdly large that all interest in any aspect of the game completely dissipates. #games #gaming #review #wasteland2

Although at first engaging and both a nostalgic successor to the original Fallouts as well as a worthy sequel, Wasteland 2 becomes offensively, unbearably long. The amount of time the game demanded I invest became so absurdly large that I completely lost any interest in any aspect of the game and uninstalled. #games #gaming #review #wasteland #wasteland2
unlabelledView post →Eh series stop being for me since 4 really. Went to Wasteland 2, 3, Under Rail, though I'm liking the art direction of Fallout Bakersfield and that New Blood RPG that is hitting me in the nostalgia bones. (A fallout-esque game where the bombs didn't fall.)
unlabelledView post →I was so looking forward to Wasteland 2 when it was coming out, even bought a special edition. The game was great as was the story but creating the whole party instead of just the PC killed most of fun for me.
unlabelledView post →Forgot to post it here, sorry. I also finished a Wasteland 2 challenge run vid but it might not be as eye-catching for people unless you're interested in that game. www.youtube.com/watch?v=jqfS...

unlabelledView post →I found a ghost on Wasteland 3! A woman in white, who after searching online, apparently is mentioned on Wasteland 2! (I don't remember but I believe it), this game is so cool
unlabelledView post →i dunno vigilante terrorism in the South West I guess. And LA Game: Wasteland 2
unlabelledView post →For possible older/neglected titles - The Trails series is on Steam, the franchise dates back to PS1 and spans several generations (the newest game comes out in February but that’s probably 10 or so titles) - Wasteland 2 and 3 - Fallout 1 and 2 - Tales Of Phantasia (SNES)
unlabelledView post →Wasteland would get a sequel in the form of Wasteland 2 in 2014, 26 years after the original game was released. For $7.49, the people that found out that they loved CRPGs with Baldur's Gate 3 owe it to themselves to play this one. store.steampowered.com/app/240760/W...
unlabelledView post →Wasteland 2 was a competent rpg with some rough edges, many of which were polished up in the Director's Cut. Wasteland 3 on the other hand store.steampowered.com/app/719040/W... kicked a bunch of ass, quite recommended if you think you might enjoy party based post-apocalyptic RPGing in Colorado.
unlabelledView post →Game 45: Wasteland Remastered Had a fun time with Wasteland 2 and 3, so figured I would give the 1st game a shot since it was referenced a lot in 2 and 3. Gameplay was left unchanged from 36 yrs ago, so very antiquated, but fun when i got a handle of it.
