60 of 137 · most liked firstVery old but catchy and interesting game. For the first time, I've played this game when I was a child, and it gave to me tons of hours of fun. Now I can remind to myself of these epic and positive moments. What's the game like? I can compare it with Dynasty Warriors with an actual story set in medieval times, with an inventory system and RTS elements. In simple words, it's like an RPG (but more or less linear) where you can select the character (not only Joan of Arc is available). The game…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I remember playing this game back in around 2007 or so, this game is very fun. If memories serve me correctly, mission 4 or misssion 5 is where the real fun begins, depends on your own opinions. Oh i recommend playing on the hardest difficulty, its VERY FUN that way. Completing Jeanne's St. Catherine de Fierbois with all 5 crosses is a nice way to kill englishmen. The cons of the game is that when you have all your Characters recruited full of units, or whenever you have alot of units under…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →So, I first saw this game as a demo back when XP was the latest and greatest..... It just as brilliant then as now. Yes, the levelling system is grindy, and people get stuck on scenery from time to time, and just DON'T get on a horse (the controls are god-awful), but the game is FUN! Kill hundreds of englishmen (for once they're the bad guys!) and somehow it doesn't get old...... I've completed this game on easy, and the storyline is pretty good, with some optional side quests that generally…

It was then i saw the pc magazine which had this game as present in dvd form. Now i am 24 years old, i have completed this game over 10 times and honestly i have never regretted the purchase. I totally recommend it to everyone.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A failed attempt to cross genres. It combines elements of three genres - action, RTS and RPG, which are not very well blended. It's just too much repetition, too many problems, not enough fun. All-in-all there's enough action and a few cool RPG elements, but there isn't any engaging or innovative gameplay. Feels like this game wasn't finished before release. http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1123835641 http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=955302041
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I'd like to point out that I'm recommending this game on a whim. It was overall a fun experience but only when you hit the last half of the game. This game is VERY buggy, has HORRIBLE AI and has overall bad balancing with enemies, specifically generals and archers/crossbowmen. I tend to write long reviews but, well, that's how it is. It's my personal experiences typed out for you to consider. First off, the story. It's quaint. It's basically the whole Joan of Arc story, but it ends with a…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →As a fan of a medieval games I should love this game, but something about really annoys me makes crazy.Combat is alright but sometimes you have fight off dozens of enemies on your own (our own guy is few and weak).Archers is a HUGE pain in my ass to interrupt my attack while I'm surrouneded, shoot and run. Watch out that the checkpoint is reached by missions, some missions are long and easy to fail, save your game from time to time is highly recommeneded. It took me 1 hour trying to pass mission 2.…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →When to buy this game? Think of it as medieval total war as a combined RPG/RTS that you can switch to on the fly. And if you've seen the well-rated movie 'the messenger' with Milla Jovovich (thats right, the resident evil chick) as Joan of Arc, you will definitely encounter many similarities and even in-game scenarios that happened in the movie too. On normal mode, the game is very easy to play. It's a typical old-school hack-n-slash revolving around using your left and right mouse buttons…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a very cool game but it is also old which means that you can expect having some problems in the game. The problems that i had were mission 4 my troops blocking my way out of the castle on the stairs which was very annoying but overal this is very good game and i recomend playing it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Games almost as old as I am but it functions way better than I do. Also when the description says "Thousands of enemies to slay" they REALLY meant it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Well, what can I say about this game... Throughout the years I never forgot about this game, it's always been kind of stuck in my head as a timeless masterpiece. I can remember playing it with so much passion as I was just a 7yo kid with not many friends (not that I have lots of them now). Everything about this game was mindblowing to me at the time: the graphics, the gameplay, etc... I couldn't ask for more. I went on playing it for a lot of time, until I lent the CD you needed to have to my…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I remember when I first played this when I was very very little, and how I loved this game, sadly I could not play it anymore cause, after hours of playing, the disc didn't work properly. *insert sad face* I want to thank Lord Gaben for putting this game on Steam. Maybe people who hasn't played it before won't like it, but if you've played it before, you will feel nostalgia in da bottom of ur heart m8. Now that I've grown up, I can see that the game is really shabby :'D (bad quality audio…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →First review ever, have to warn, even at such a low price this is a laughably bad game. Pros: The music and voice acting are at least average for the dated title Cons: Glitches ruined the entire experience from level 1. Basic controls are ugly. Your sword often swings straight through common enemies to no effect. The auto targeting gets me confused as it makes 180s to target enemies you aren't even engaging. Enemy commanders go invincible whenever they attack, maybe suppose to make them…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's old but there's very few modern experiences quite like it. It should be warned, that due to it's age, it's quite buggy. But still playable. If you like RTS and Action games, you won't regret playing this one. It's an experience you won't get anywhere else!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Nostalgia!!! Short but fun.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →♥ ♥ ♥ Pure nostalgia ♥ ♥ ♥ I will keep a short review with just pros and cons Pros -4 diffrent characters to play -Great story -multiple sidequest's -beautiful music and graphics Neutral -Only single player Cons -Only 9 missions available -Hard mode is easy -Some glitches making troops stuck between object's -Short as game->completion time for each game run around 7-10 hours Final conclusions I really loved it back in the days and still loving it ! Solid 8/10 game , totaly worth the money
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Brings back my childhood. The soundtrack still gives me chills. Strangely this game feels kinda missed and underrated. 2026: Thank you devs for the new beta!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I played this back in 2004 but never got to finish it. I finally did some hours ago and I must say that other than the bugs (people gets stuck around: soldiers mostly when using a cannon) and a little cranky gameplay controls -don't ever EVER use a horse- it's still very enjoyable thanks to the beautiful background music. The graphics may not appear amazing but, for the time this was released, they were pretty good! The story is based upon the character of Joan of Arc and other great warriors…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I played Wars and Warriors: Joan of Arc when I was still figuring out who I wanted to be, and somehow this little strategy-action game stuck with me all these years. It’s not the most polished RTS ever made. The mechanics are simple, the AI can be rough and it definitely shows its age. But stepping into Joan’s role, leading troops, rallying soldiers and pushing back against impossible odds felt powerful in a way I didn’t expect as a kid. Wars and Warriors captured Joan's bravery and…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →An old, but not too classic game experience. Long and a bit repetitive in combat gameplay but no less interesting storywise. 10/10 for me
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I wish steam had a mixed option for games like these. When I was younger, I remember spending 100 of hours on this game and having an absolute blast, but as an adult, I can help but be unable to ignore some of the games glaring flaws that younger me could brush aside. Is this a good game? I'd say so. Does the level design and horrible AI path-finding hurt the experience? Yes. Very much so. Now, from what I have read, apparently this game had a very short dev cycle (and you can tell it did) and…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Jeanne d'Arc/Joan of Arc is a medieval action-RPG set during the 100 years war. You can switch to a RTS camera, but if you don't like it, you only have to use this once to man a trebuchet and command it to attack a fortress. The main focus of the game is combat. You will speak with French citizens and do side missions, but for the most part, you will fight against the English and their allies. I quite like the combat and its many combo attacks, but some newcomers might get overwhelmed by the…

Pros: Mechanic with leaders of our warriors and their level depends of our. Strategic mode, we can play alone or we can use bigger group with their warriors. Bugs while going with our warriors to tower, and they…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I've sunk so many hours in this game as a kid.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's old, its graphics looked meh even in 2004, the AI is silly. Yet this morph of a slasher and tactical game, actually brings fun, both back when I played it as a kid and today. Even if it's just for exploiting a scripted AI that lines enemy forces right before you to mow down, without them being able to do a thing. It's a flawed, yet fun title, that costed less than doner kebab in Amsterdam, when was on sale. It's good to buy, if you do not mind outdated graphics, while it's on sale.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Maturing means realizing that this is possibly one of the best video games in history.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great fun slasher - one of the first games I ever played a looong time ago. No microtransactions, no online connections required, you own the game and you simply enjoy the gameplay. The old games are still alive and kicking and most importantly as fun to play as ever.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Seems to be a good game, but does not work on modern systems too well. Terrible mouse stutter, makes it unplayable. I tried all the fixes and non of them worked for me. I do not recommend for modern systems, sadly thumbs down.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →the game is good and i like it but it's sad thats it's geting no more updates D:
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a loosely historical game, centered on Joan of Arc during the pivotal moments of the Hundred Years War. By pivotal, England was running rampant before she showed up, and the French started to regain ground after. The gameplay itself is decent. And it is cheap enough to be worth a try.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →An underappreciated gem from back in the day. Still holds up! Mounted combat remains awful though.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game was pretty fun bet mediocre and repetative at times. Hard to recommend or not since there is no middle ground option.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is the reason I joined Steam. One of the best games ever. :)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →why i recommend it : 1- It's a very nice game for its price! 2- it is far from being short. i have played 10 hours on it and i have just finished chapter 5! 3- it's the only game about joan of arc i have found 4- you create your own army! 5- you can play as multiple characters 6- the graphics are decent 7- you can ride immortal horses cons 1- the combacts against the "bosses" are absurd , i mean they're men like others why are they so much strong? it kills a bit the atmosphere 2- i wish i…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game of childhood, I still love it. One day when I'll have millions of dollars I will sponsor remake of this game
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Such an old classic. Loved the old graphics and the intense game play. The camera struggles at times to find the right viewing angle, the environment and the game play is beautiful and fun. Loved this game and was just as good as I played it back in 2010. Highly recommended. It still works on Windows 11, don't expect a resolution higher that 1024 x 768. Very fun an playable. I'm sure there's some bugs that can be exploited with the bow and arrow. Seems a bit overpowered ;)

I still open this game and play few times. This is the first game i played in my life. Cause since i were born. My family moved a lot. From city to city, country to country. I can't remember when I lost the game disc. But one day i find out there is this game on sold on steam. I am so happy. Every time when i open the game i feel like my memory return. positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Finally, I mean finally, I found the VERY first game that I played in a computer. Of course it's outdated and all but come on! My inner kid is having a christmas miracle (although missed it by several days).
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Classics from good old times when games were made for actual pleasure and fun of players, not for idiotic yet expensive weapon skins and not because devs have some free game engine and assets to fool around with.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →95% of Steam "reviews" are nostalgic and have nothing to do with game reviews. Okay, but very short and below average! Even for 2003! Few different units. 4-16 times less content than Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos (2002). Overpriced even with 75% discount. Wait for 90% discount or more. Quite linear. No variation or replay value. The same enemies appear in the same places. Pathfinding and collision bugs.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I've played the game for a little bit while I enjoy the game play and the concept I just have one qualm about this game. Historically Jeanne d' Arc did not shed any blood in battle. She led troops into battle and inspired them but never felled a man with her sword. That historical inaccuracy aside, the game is fun and reminds me a lot of the old Koei Tecmo games which I have enjoyed for years.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Loved it as a kid, still love it now after so many years. Nice swordsplay, decent tactical decisions ( don't storm walls littered with archers, nor destroy walls with siege weaponry if you're going to defend the objective shortly after from the english ).
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I loved this game in my childhood, but I have never found myself beating it... 'cause of the difficulty of course (believe me, it can be pretty annoying at times), but now that I finished this game I can surely say that I enjoyed most of it. The game is really underrated in my opinion.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →nostalgia. Such a great game at that time. Bought it on steam even thought i got cd of this game just out of respect for all the amazing memories this game gave me.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Curator Page: http://store.steampowered.com/curator/31028489/ What could have been a simple and fun action game is marred by awful camera controls, missions that last far too long, and RTS mechanics that feel out of place. Everything about this game feels bog standard, unless it's aggresively bad. Levels are too large with no effective way to get around them, which is made even worse by the horse controls. For my full thoughts, check out the video review:…

Too bad Joan of Arc's boyfriend Controller isn't there. How come? It's problematic when come to bed scene, you know... Scarlet's Score: N/A (Haven't reached climax, working in progress)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Kill Englishmen as Joan of Arc, in this 100 years old war historic fiction game. Yes. Kill Englishmen. They want the French throne, its the 1300's and using Joan, you single handedly get to thwart and kill them for trying. Relive battles from this epic war as akin to '' Dynasty Warriors'' to fight to level up your gear, your stats and gain a larger troops through 8 beefed up missions. I say ''beefed up'' because they start small, there are large maps and the sub quests are lengthy. Its not that…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The graphics aged well, I like the music and the mechanics, combat, inventory, scenarios etc. are pretty enjoyable. But, the bad, the AI and the horses are torture, the AI pathfinding has the capabilities of a headless cockroach and the horse tries to kill you with its bad controls. Fences, rocks and other stuff block the path in a nonsensical way. Dialogue's mid. Plus there are some annoying bugs. Nostalgia aside, can't recommend.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →"J'ai pose le gamepad! C'est le vie, Jeanne!" Joan's destiny is to 'la morte'. And I don't mean tied to a pole and get all 'immole'-like. But getting WTFPWNED by enemies who gang shebang in early Missions 2 or 3, goons all piling upon her, while her useless "hero" followers who fight with Nerf weapons, get steamrolled, along with the "normal" troops. You know. Succomber sous le nombre. For an old game, depasse, it looks alright...aged a bit rough, some gameplay ideas are novel. Yet, it…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Maybe it just aged poorly, but now I don't think it was ever a good game. The RPG part is so residual with only few statistics to boost and limited managing equipment. It struggles with RTS elements, especially when the AI is so dumb. A pathfinding barely works, every tree or fence can be an impassable barrier. Sometimes the game is just fun but it's too simple and repetitive to keep positive feeling until the very end. With eight missions I had enough after fourth. The nostalgia is crucial…
