unlabelledView post →I think I owe Samurai Warriors 1 an apology, that game was pretty bad to 100%, but it was bad by typical PS2-era Koei musou standards, it was still a fine enough game, and I imagine when not going for everything it's pretty good. Warriors All-Stars is so much worse.

I don't mean a single full playthrough, I mean going for *everything* else, all endings, achievements, it is such a short, barren game outside of this 1 extra criteria.

The problem with Warriors All-Stars is it's 150+ hours of nothing. Repeating randomized template stages in order to raise an arbitrary meter.

There's not really a clear answer as to why, but I read a suggestion that "taru" (barrel) is a good word for testing recording equipment. It was carried over to Warriors All-Stars since Sophie and Plachta are playable in it.

unlabelledView post →DLC was actually planned in some form, a poll was held in Famitsu Magazine to vote on potential DLC characters, but none were actually implemented since Warriors All-Stars bombed hard. All we ever got were a few mediocre costume DLCs, then Koei Tecmo dropped support for the game almost instantly ;-;

Its #1 priority is being fun, not just to musou fans, but to pachislot fans too.

I went in expecting a short game, maybe 50 hours max, I did not expect it to quintuple that, it has thoroughly exhausted me.
unlabelledView post →we can love things and acknowledge they are bad. I can find enjoyment from Dynasty Warriors 6...or Samurai Warriors 3...or *shudder* Warriors All-Stars. That game is arguably the worst Musou game ever made and I still find enjoyment from it. It's like a comfort game style for me.
