Bizarrely, there is no skirmish mode. You must either fill a multiplayer lobby with actual people, or replay campaign maps. This is such a cool game, but it is really handicapped by this egregious oversight.

I don't typically write reviews, it's never really been my thing. For this game, however, I felt like I need to do so. There are not many people playing currently and the reviews so far haven't been the best. I honestly believe that is due to people not understanding the game. It is not an RTS, it is not a deck building game. It IS tower defense game with RTS and deck building elements. It takes a little time and playing to understand how things work. Once you figure it out, it is immensely…

Game had such potential ruined by Dev's who couldn't even implement a rotate function. Designed maps to be "hard" around the fact none of your towers could hit certain areas of the map where enemies spawned and called it good design. Game is abandoned and instead of releasing any notes or saying they're no longer working on it they quietly updated the FAQ on their studio website saying it'll get no updates unless they volunteer their time. If their next game is anything like this their studio…

First of all, Day 1 DLC. Prolly don't need to elaborate. The game underneath isn't worth playing either way. Its one of those games that pretends to be a lot more complicated and involving while the underlying mechanics are actually cheap and simple. The only real "strategic" choice you make on the offense is checking whether the opponent focused walls or turrets and then build whatever unit deals more damage to that. On the defense theres a bit more going on with cards leading to other…

I tried to convince myself to try it again after the balance patches but just can't do it. This game has difference pieces from assorted genre, but all of them fall short when they got mixed together. It has towers and defense, but as a tower defense it is lousy. The solo campaign is more of a single answer puzzle, solo horde sounded like what I was looking for but it is bland, and in PvP regular mode the answer is to use spells to bypass or remove all towers (more on this later). Hordes…

Sadly it appears this game has been abandoned. I liked it but then I saw it WASN'T early access, but there's a lot of QoL missed and multiplayer is pretty much dead. Shame as it had a lot of potential.

I didn't enjoy this game. With that said I don't think its bad. In this age of mobile deckbuilders and autobattlers its right up with that right appeal. The sight of massive armies of the thousands charging you is neat, but I felt like I wasn't doing anything. Hell, the last match was over 30 minutes long. I just don't feel like this game is a good use of my time, but its got the pvp, and the deckbuilding, and cards that the kids are all the rage for. It just doesn't feel like its made for me…

Abandoned. No AI skirmish mode, really, like you'd expect if you're an RTS fan. Clunky and limited scenario maker for what IS there to make single player games. Basically, you have to design the enemy and the setup before fighting them, which leaves zero room for surprises or even an ai to work properly unless it's set up properly. Had potential, good art, pvp was fun to watch - but, dead now. Rip

There are towers with limited range, shoot in straight lines, and do not much damage, nor can you turn them. I played two decks with such towers and was not having fun. Horde mode doesn't make much sense with economy buildings and the timers are all off. Like units would spawn during build phases, or the fact that no units spawned during the first phase. Also, barracks cards seem practically useless in Horde mode unless you're using them as walls to tier up to more cards that might be…

50% of this games problems are solved if turrets can shoot more than 10 squares heading out exclusively north east. Never seen anything like it in any tower defense game. It tries to be its own thing so hard it loses the fun of the genres, its overcooked.

I want to like this game, but the shape of buildings, the poor targeting and the inability to select a faction on single player missions is just boring. Some of the factions are far stronger than others and the controls are about 80% to where they should be. It feels like they just left it unfinished and sent it out. Tower attack hitboxes are also very odd. I paid 5 dollars for this and it was too much.

I want to love this game. I play a lot of deckbuilders, tower defense and RTS games. The artwork is great, but the UI needs reworking. This game is really confusing. All the cards end up looking the same. You don't get an idea of what any card actually does. Spells are not impactful, because the scale of the map is so large. It would be much better if they allowed you to play custom decks in the campaign right from the beginning. That way you can narrow down the cards you want to learn,…

Really enjoy this one. Big battles of beautifully animated guys, fun deck building elements as well. The campaign is very challenging, starting you off with scenarios that involve pre-built decks and opening up to let you use your own after getting you familiar with the factions. That being said, I do have a few gripes. The tutorials are not the greatest at explaining everything, and seem to give incorrect information in some cases. This should be Early Access at best. Game design is so convoluted it is hard to say what you should be doing at what stage. I had one level where I played the same two cards every turn and somehow I won on turn 4. How? Tutorial is very bad at explaining game mechanics. Pixel art graphics while nice looking don't work well when zoomed out, which is almost always. I don't recomend, but if you don't believe me, look at the amount of hours people have in positive reviews.

Really good concept & decent execution, but if you don't have a group ready to actively PvP against then its barely playable. Campaign is mostly scenario based and not that long, and there's no skirmish or AI modes. Your options are just PvP or replay the same few scenarios. You can make your own scenarios, but by the time you've finished making one you're already going to know its strengths and weaknesses. I had fun at the start, but it feels as if you're fully railroaded in each scenario,…

Mix between card game and simple tower defense. Two type of resources - mana to summon monsters and "structure" to build towers, walls and barracks that spawn new monsters. Basically two time phases - one is for building stuff and second is for withstanding your opponents attacks. You can drop some spells. Waves of monsters will come in your way and try to get to your base so be careful. Visually game looks outstanding - zoom in to see nice pixelated sprites, dozens of enemies and day night…

I really want to like this game, I really do. I bought this game with the expectation it would be a RTS/Deckbuilder. The pixel graphics are great, the music is nice, the design of the builings and the units are absolutely beautiful. The support for custom maps right off the get-go is a great choice, even if I never enjoyed that aspect of the game. (but it's a great choice) And that's where the pros end for me. If I could just play the MP game against AI, so I can just chill and use custom decks, it would be fun, but you cant do that, so its not that fun. If you want to play through the campaign which is just scenarios using prebuilt decks, or you want to play against other people, go for it.

I haven't played the multiplayer, but if you're here only for the singleplayer experience, skip it. First, there's no VS. AI skirmish, only the campaign, and you can't customize your deck there. There *is* a horde mode where you can make your own deck, but not having an opponent to send waves against effectively removes half the game, as there's no reason to make any offensive troops. In fact, troops you send are sent against yourself, which is useful in the multiplayer version where you race…

I want to give a natural review. I like the game I like the visuals. Campaign is a bit slugish but I like it, could be worse. However I will leave a negative review because the game just came out for €17 and they already locked 2 factions behind DLC each costing €4.99 . You guys could have released the game with only one faction for €20. Then release each new faction for 4.99. That would have been 20 for base game and 30 for all the factions! Huge missed opportunity!

The game is what it sells. A mix of card game, tower defense, and economy builder. The inital deck building is pretty limited, because some card combos have negative syngeries - making them nearly unplayable together. The "second half of deck building" happens while you play the match. The "deck colors" (or races) also each have special rules, tending to favor a certain play styles. Like aggressive tempo, economy or all-in one turn combos. The main critique point of the game, and also of many…

Currently 7 hours played. I would recommend. Don't think of this like SC, AoE, or WC. This is Tower Defense/Horde Survival mixed with base building/deck building. It's like a RTS without micro. I can certainly see some room for improvement overall is enjoyable. My biggest gripe is that your discard gets shuffled back into your library at the beginning of every round. It makes it very hard to set up combos when you can't cycle your deck. I would prefer it would be like most board games that use…

Gorgeous RTS/Deckbuilder/TD hybrid. Graphics are absolutely phenomenal and the gameplay is fun enough, but doesn't actually feel all that strategic. There are decisions that should be strategic, like deciding whether to play economy, tech, or rush - but none of these decisions really seem to matter in the single player. Also there is some unit and tower variety (units that are fast, units that are good against walls or towers) but again it really doesn't feel like these differences matter.…

Damage spells can target and actually hurt your main building. In other words, because life steal is reserved to a single archetype, the UNBEATABLE strategy in this game is too build up just enough defenses to hold off the looser using units in the tower defense game. In the current state of this game, even with the balance patch they just released, I can't recommend this game. To start with, the range overlay will straight up lie to you, it's like there's a disconnect between where units appear to be, and where they actually are, this is especially jarring when you're trying to use your manual attack spell to kill units, you can't accurately select where the attack lands, there's an inconvenient grid select mechanic where you won't know where the spell…

Aside from the information problems mentioned by many others, I'm going to focus on the core gameplay loop towards the end of a multiplayer game. Fun version of Deck building / Tower Defense type of game. Sadly the game player base took a nose dive, 24 peak of 63 players.. tried multiple times to play an online match and it timed out with error "not enough players". Which is a shame, they are actually starting to put balance changes that were badly needed but looks like game might be DOA, or maybe a steam sale could revive it in a few months.
