One of the most satisfying aspects of the game was learning the controls, you could pull off crazy maneuvers at high speeds once you mastered them! Courses are nice and the drift mechanic is cool. however, the ai sucks and the game is a cakewalk. 8 hours to 100% without challenge which kinda takes away whatever fun the core gameplay has. As a racer, it was tuned perfectly and took a lot of skill to be good at, but it was so satisfying once you mastered some of the tricky maneuvers! Traces Daytona, SEGA Rally, Virtua Racing, Ridge Racer and Crash Team Racing can all be found when playing this game. Glad I was able to check it at EGX this year. unlabelledView post →Victory Heat Rally is pure arcade fun. It looks like an old 90s racer but plays super smooth on PC, with really satisfying drifting and a great sense of speed. The championship mode doesn’t take forever and it’s a blast while it lasts, and surprisingly I’ve found myself going back to the game. Also the Dev is a good human being.

Gameplay is simple yet engaging, Art design is beautiful, both male and female characters are gorgeous and the soundtrack slaps. Plays wonderfully on both a linux machine and steam deck. Unironically advertised by the usual suspects, otherwise I wouldn't have know about this hidden gem. PS: Tho all those gravedancing enjoying a person's death, you are not human beings, you are monsters wearing human skin.

As for the game, the visuals are great. The music is really catchy. It's a fun little game. Perhaps it gets more challenging later on, but a difficulty setting to increase the skill of the CPU drivers would be a nice addition.
