Noonan's looks led him to play many bad-guys but rarely as creepy as his Tooth Fairy in this adaptation of Thomas Harris' Red Dragon. It's far superior to the remake, with Brian Cox a memorable Hannibal. 4/5 film-authority.com/2026/02/24/m...

unlabelledView post →Michael Mann's changes to the "final cut" of MANHUNTER (1986) don't help the film, but don't hurt it, either. The key scene - Will Graham (William L. Petersen) realizing how the Tooth Fairy (the great Tom Noonan) chooses his victims - remains ELECTRIC, maybe the best onscreen depiction of thinking.

It states that "many a refractory child will allow a loose tooth to be removed if he knows the Tooth Fairy [will] leave some little gift." #MythologyMonday

unlabelledView post →Aye, quite liked this one. Stylish crime thriller, Mann's specialty. This watch was spurred on by both being recommended two other Michael Mann movies, and the recent passing of Tom Noonan, who played the Tooth Fairy killer in this film. And yeah, he was pretty terrifying in this film.
