Legendary marshal Wyatt Earp, now a weary gunfighter, joins his brothers Morgan and Virgil to pursue their collective fortune in the thriving mining town of Tombstone. But Earp is forced to don a badge again and get help from his notorious pal Doc Holliday when a gang of renegade brigands and rustlers begins terrorizing the town. From TMDB

But in the end, it really had to be this film. So join us on Hulu (or wherever) this Sunday, April 6 at 8pm eastern for TOMBSTONE. See you soon on #HATM

unlabelledView post →Val Kilmer as Doc Holiday is the best single performance in any western. I screamed at the TV as a kid when Roger Ebert told Kilmer at the Oscars red carpet that he would’ve been nominated for a Best Supporting Actor if the studio that released Tombstone would’ve shown the movie to critics.
unlabelledView post →Val Kilmer was a genuine movie star. He was also a killer supporting actor - his performances in "Tombstone", "Heat", "Top Gun" and "Kiss Kiss Bang Bang" are performances for the history books. Those movies were blessed by his presence.

unlabelledView post →#RIP actor Val Kilmer who passed away today at the age of 65. In addition to his appearances in BATMAN FOREVER and TOMBSTONE, Kilmer perhaps was best known for his role as Tom "Iceman" Kazansky in TOP GUN. His final film was TOP GUN: MAVERICK in 2022.
unlabelledView post →Watched all Val's scenes in Tombstone last night and have come to the conclusion that, in a role in which he delivered so many legendary lines, the juxtaposition of his physical appearance and him insisting, "I'm in my prime," might be the best one off the movie.
unlabelledView post →Tombstone was one of my favs as a kid and when I watched it as an adult I realized oh this is actually a very mid movie on most levels but Val Kilmer almost singlehandedly elevates it to great. RIP

unlabelledView post →My Darling Clementine is the best Wyatt Earp film & among the least accurate, despite John Ford knowing Wyatt Earp personally. Contrary to Ford's claims, his film wasn't based on Earp's own account of his time in Tombstone, but rather an earlier film whose director also knew the lawman. A 🧵

So I’m thrilled to say WBDHE is bringing another I’ve long advocated to the format in 2026: the Wachowskis’ SPEED RACER (2008)! @thedigitalbits.bsky.social

unlabelledView post →I know Val Kilmer is universally beloved as Doc Holliday in Tombstone, but I really cannot overstate how obsessed I was with his performance in the 90s. You know how the cartoon fox in Robin Hood caused every Xennial girl’s earliest sexual awakening? Kilmer’s Doc Holliday was our second round.

unlabelledView post →Kasdan's epic "Wyatt Earp" is beautifully made, but overlong and dull as dishwater. Costner's version of stoic comes across as charmless and priggish, a reflection of the film itself. Kurt Russell did it so much better in the far more enjoyable "Tombstone".

I have lots of movies I like much better, but I’m content to watch those just once or twice. But Gladiator, LOTR, Edge of Tomorrow, Tombstone etc? Over & over.
