Fantastic cast featuring Hopkins, DelToro, & Weaving and the film was absolutely gorgeous and set a very palpable dark tone from the start. Crowds just want action, not style. #TonightsFilmSelection

Our resident "old movie weirdo" @willmckinley.bsky.social joins us for this episode. www.buzzsprout.com/253031/episo...
unlabelledView post →Took @nlogan77.bsky.social ‘s advice and added the Wolfie Soaky to my monster collection. “Frankenstein Meets the Wolfman” was my first Uni-Monster film I saw as a kid. Granted, it was only the last few minutes that I caught one late night sneaking out of bed, but what a few minutes it was!

Bela as Bela, Evelyn Ankers as the final girl. This movie still has magic. Hell yeah🔪
unlabelledView post →I'm feeling super nostalgic for Alvin and the Chipmunks media lately since I grew up watching it I decided to rewatch Meet the Wolfman tonight and this movie is great too. I love how fluid the animation is in this one and its pretty damn funny too.

unlabelledView post →Well, well, well, the simpleminded monster that they created out of hubris and unleashed upon the world has turned upon them, like in that classic horror movie, uh, The Wolfman
unlabelledView post →#werewolfwednesday I drew this last October after watching Frankenstein meets the Wolfman. Larry Talbot is just a guy who wakes up still alive and is frustrated the whole film that he’s apparently immortal now, immortal and cursed. Guy has it all backwards! I should draw my OC Grant saying this.
unlabelledView post →#ACenturyOfCinema continues: 1956 pt2! THE WOLFMAN should be more renowned - it has an excellent script & protagonists who show compassion for the poor guy who's been experimented on by a couple of deranged scientists, turning him into a wolfman! Recommended! #werewolf #horror #cultclassic #filmsky

unlabelledView post →The Wolfman from the 1987 film The Monster Squad. Wolfman was portrayed by Carl Thibault and designed by Stan Winston. This is one of the better werewolf designs out there in my opinion and this wolfman's got nards!
unlabelledView post →If you enjoyed the Frankenstein movie, I suggest Penny Dreadful. It seamlessly pulls gothic characters into one world. The Wolfman, Victor Frankenstein, The Creature/John Clare, and Dorian Gray. The enchanting Ms. Ives stands in the center; the dialogue is rich, and it's exceptionally moving.

But that doesn't stop it from being *fun*. Just turn off your brain and enjoy it. There's a movie from 2003 called [The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_League_of_Extraordinary_Gentlemen_(film)) (yes, yes, I know it was a graphic novel first). That movie took a bunch of fictional characters (Tom…

unlabelledView post →#filmsky An American Werewolf In London (out today, 1981) is a perfect marriage of dark humor and monster movie, but you can still trace its origins to The Wolfman: the sad pathos of our protagonist’s plight, his love interest, the hysteria of the community. AWIL refined all that in a perfect movie

(Would've bought the Wolfman if they had him.) Also had "Scorched Alien" but I was like "meh" too late after the movie.

unlabelledView post →Night of the Living Dead (1968). *"They're coming to get you, Barbara!"* What better way to start off c/zombies than with the most famous zombie movie of all time? Night of the Living Dead was directed by George A Romero and released in October of 1968. The plot was novel at the time but probably familiar to all by now - the undead have risen to feast on the flesh of the living, and a ragtag group of survivors must try - and probably fail - to deal with this existential threat.…

Before I looked at the cast, I thought I remembered his name and I googled "Lyle Talbot." He was an actor.
