I'm using cheats to make it more palatable after restarting the game several times over years and never making it to the halfway point, and even with cheats it is a slog. Add to that how there were a bunch of controversies with the developers, and yeah, can't recommend getting this through any legitimate means.

If you want to play a game where you're lost in a forest just play The Forest, or Valheim, or Don't Starve. I love the atmosphere, survival, inventory managment, art style, music, and just all of it. It has challanges that you have to overcome, maybe avoid that wolf, and what polar bears?! lol it scared me. Anyways, GREAT game and would recommend. Its like the long dark but top down style. the winter apocolypse of project zomboid.

The devs then bailed on it, leaving the bugs there. Items vanish from your inventory, enemies run through walls and solid objects, Balancing took a hit when they added stronger enemies, but didn't give the starting players stronger weapons/gear. Most of my time in this game was early after launch, when it was... fine. Now... just keep on moving. Nothing to see here.
