Seems only fitting to finish the Unholy Trinity! #NowWatching for the 1st time: 🎥 Witchfinder General (The Conqueror Worm) (1968) 🎬 Directed By: Michael Reeves

unlabelledView post →The Unholy Three (1930, dir. Jack Conway) stars Lon Chaney in a sound remake of a film he made with Tod Browning 5 years before. A blackly comic crime melodrama, it was Chaney's only talkie before he passed away. What a loss to sound pictures, too: he's *fantastic* in it, the film itself great fun.

The brothers steal the show, tho. The Unholy, a glorified tv movie but not bad. Jules et Jim is a virtuosic masterpiece.

Henry Broadway arrives in the Montana town of Trinity to avenge his father...by killing the sheriff, but things get murky when he arrives. Recommended.
