Hal Ashby and Norman Jewison worked this one with great skill. Even if it is decidedly old-fashioned now, the film still looks cool.

The Thomas Crown Affair and After the Sunset are two Pierce Brosnan movies that both involve some fun heisting as well. Just remembered, Guy Ritchie loves a good heist flick. Lots of his movies qualify. I think Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels counts, Snatch, The Gentlemen, and even sort of The Man from UNCLE.

When the movie came out, McQueen was considered one of the most virile men in Hollywood. Compared to today's standards, he looked kinda scrawny.
