The second player doesn't really get to play the game though, they're just a robot floating around you. They cant jump (P1 jumping on a spring straps P2 to P1s back) and they don't have an independent camera. Co-op would only be good if your P2 is 2 years old

There is a point where in order to progress to the next chapter the player has to complete a difficult obstacle course requiring them to use a jetpack. I am surprised that I liked it and never thought I'd be saying I like a Smurfs game. I grew up with the Smurfs, but wasn't the biggest fan or anything. Locking my monitor into an eye-bleeding 30fps and forcing vsync didn't help. Couldn't make it through the tutorial (which is several levels long) because I grew tired of watching Brainy Smurf plummet to his death repeatedly. He just won't jump high enough because this game has janky last gen console port written all over it.
