If you want to start out the game with the original balance, just right-click it in Steam, go to Properties, and un-tick these three:

Some performance woes, but overall a solid remaster of an already great game. Excellent writing, fun detective gameplay and a really great lovecraftian vibe oozing with atmosphere.

Where do I sit now, with this game, that–for the first time in this series–I've had to devote three separate threads? But then, I hope that indicates the impact it's had on me. I hope it's indicative how much I love...

This is the model of an enjoyable B-tier game, with "good-enough" survival horror gameplay mixed with light detective elements. The plot has nothing to surprise anyone who's read a Cthulhu story ever, but I had fun overall.

And yet, has a great story with great mythos variety, some fun puzzles, and just great atmosphere/world 8.3/10
