unlabelledView post →THE SHADOW STRAYS - Timo Tjahjanto might wind up one of my favorite directors because he's gone two for two with these. gnarly as FUCK ninja action movie, absurdly cool. god damn. it just doesn't get any better than this
unlabelledView post →Monkey Man, Dev Patel's extremely righteous revenge action movie absolutely fucking rips Between this and The Shadow Strays, I've been feasting on highly violent anti right wing movies
unlabelledView post →The Shadow Strays might be my favorite action movie of the year, right behind Furiosa... This is Tjahjanto's best work imo, really wonder how his Nobody sequel will turn out.
unlabelledView post →My review of Timo Tjahjanto’s The Shadow Strays, which opens this week on Netflix, is up now at InRO inreviewonline.com/2024/10/15/t...
unlabelledView post →The Night Comes for Us is my second Timo Tjahjanto film after my beloved The Shadow Strays, and while as gory as expected, I found it harder to connect with the story and the MC in particular (also didn't get the title...). Also, Joe Taslim is Indonesian! That was a *revelation* for me! #MovieSky
unlabelledView post →The Shadow Strays rules! Aurora Ribero gives such a fun and strong performance both physically and emotionally, very violent and gory that any fans of the genre will love. Absolutely chaotic and only ups the chaos as the film goes on, Timo Tjahjanto impresses once again.

unlabelledView post →Finally watched The Shadow Strays! Timo Tjahjanto manages to be SO dynamic with the camera in action scenes without it feeling nauseating or disorienting. Absolutely brutal movie.

unlabelledView post →The action movies that come out of Indonesia are always groundbreaking. The Shadow Strays might have knocked Oddity out of the top spot as my fav movie of 2024.
unlabelledView post →I had a great time talking to Timo Tjahjanto about his new movie The Shadow Strays, filmmaking as an indulgent act, and his philosophy on gore in action movies www.polygon.com/action/46508...
unlabelledView post →The Shadow Strays. Now that I think about it, I'd really like an animated film by Timo Tjahjanto 👀
unlabelledView post →Gods, I'm so glad there's another Timo Tjahjanto film on Netflix that I haven't watched yet, even though all I could think about while watching Maria was how I'd much rather be rewatching The Shadow Strays.

unlabelledView post →Instead of dumping their money down the trash chute that was the Paul vs Tyson fight, they should’ve just used all that cash to market the best action movie of the year THE SHADOW STRAYS, becauseTimo Tjahjanto knows what an entertaining fight is supposed to look like!
unlabelledView post →I'm already a big time Timo Tjahjanto promoter and his brand of pure MAXIMALIST action movie directing. But oh god The Shadow Strays just really suits me so much! Love a good girl lead who gets drenched in blood and fucks a small army up.
unlabelledView post →He needs to do a MORTAL KOMBAT movie My ★★★ review of The Shadow Strays on Letterboxd boxd.it/7zKdWl #FilmSky 📽️
unlabelledView post →Aurora Ribero gets close, especially because I've watched her in The Shadow Strays and know she can do the deadpan (or close to it) and raging voices, but... tricky. Maybe because she speaks in Indonesian in the film, and "translating" voices can be hard. But then I do that easily with Iko Uwais +
unlabelledView post →Gorgeous pics! And that alt about dressing like an assassin reminded me of The Shadow Strays, a film that has been a bit of an obsession since I watched it a few days ago—you could totally star in that, yeah 😂
unlabelledView post →Wanted to share one of my favourite interviews from this year!! I spoke to Timo Tjahjanto about his latest Netflix film, The Shadow Strays!! Proud of this and loved speaking to him about one of the best action films of 2024 @thepeoplesmovies.bsky.social thepeoplesmovies.com/interview-ti...
unlabelledView post →The Shadow Strays is another member of the elite 2024 movie club, “Pretty good on Netflix, prolly would’ve killed with a theatrical crowd,” see also Rebel Ridge, It’s What’s Inside, and Hit Man
unlabelledView post →The Gutter's own @flashymcflash.bsky.social on Timo Tjahjanto's new movie, The Shadow Strays! culturalgutter.com/2024/10/17/t...
unlabelledView post →Still think it's a bit weird that, when asked, Netflix told me that they don't have screeners for THE SHADOW STRAYS. It's also a pain in the ass for me, as I'm reviewing the movie regardless, but still...do they really not think that there's greater interest in pre-release non-festival reviews?
unlabelledView post →so it's been a while since i watched the latter, but The Shadow Strays is just kind of an inverse The Night Comes For Us, right? pretty good movie. fucks heavy. would watch again.
unlabelledView post →Oh, I have one: The Shadow Strays by Timo Tjahjanto! It's the film that introduced me to Ashrah's voice claim, Aurora Ribero x)
unlabelledView post →... Ribero is such a sweetheart and soft-spoken person in real life, but her screams of rage in The Shadow Strays are fierce and inspiring, so it's definitely possible. I need Timos to make a martial arts film with Nurra so I can see her action range xD
unlabelledView post →I was going to post about how tonight’s movie is a toss up between Love Lies Bleeding and The Shadow Strays (both 2024) but MrsH is having a bad pain day so movie night is cancelled.
unlabelledView post →my singular favorite action movie of all time and i'm a sucker for action movies. i got lottie hooked on timo tjahjanto with The Shadow Strays which imo is an inferior entry but it IS about women in techwear. TNCFU is unbelievable though
unlabelledView post →And the 2024 Endy Award for Best Film Editing goes to. . . The Shadow Strays!
unlabelledView post →If you haven't yet, watch THE SHADOW STRAYS on Netflix. Highly recommend it. Indonesian action film from 2024. A grittier female John Wick of sorts. Actress Aurora Ribera does a fantastic job as the lead. Excellent hand to hand combat scenes. #filmsky
unlabelledView post →I mean it’s definitely not a Christmas movie but holy shit THE SHADOW STRAYS slaps. I think this was a @weinberg.social recommendation? If so kudos to you sir.
unlabelledView post →will start properly in the new year but tonight's movie is THE SHADOW STRAYS (T. Tjahjanto, 2024). might link my Letterboxd up as well, we're living on the edge here.

unlabelledView post →Don't forget that Timo Tjahjanto's new movie The Shadow Strays comes out tomorrow www.youtube.com/watch?v=jsKo...
unlabelledView post →has any action movie other than The Shadow Strays (not counting anime because giant robo obv clears all of this) interlaced Dies Irae into the music during a critical turning point in the film because that feels like a fucking cheat code youtu.be/GsRuqimYCEA?...
unlabelledView post →The Shadow Strays: Timo Tjahjanto continues to have so much juice in his directing. Just a banger action movie
unlabelledView post →The Shadow Strays movie is so brutal!
unlabelledView post →Sorry if I'm telling you what you already know, but there's a few Timo Tjahjanto films on UK Netflix. The Shadow Strays and Headshot are a similar vibe to The Night Comes For Us, May The Devil Take You is a horror film (that I didn't really like) and The Big 4 is an action comedy.
unlabelledView post →There's the video I posted yesterday, where you can have an idea of the voice when she speaks... in a less bubbly way lol But really, just watch The Shadow Strays and you'll get it! Fantastic film, and her voice (and roars!) is a lot more "Ashrah" there! youtu.be/KcGhIgBPn7w
unlabelledView post →Almost the entire filmography of Timo Tjahjanto. The Night Comes For Us, The Shadow Strays, May The Devil Take You, plus his earlier work with Kimo Stamboel (Headshot). The only movie that really doesn't go all in on gore is Nobody 2 and even that has the odd moment.
unlabelledView post →My ★★★★★ review of The Shadow Strays on Letterboxd boxd.it/aay7np
unlabelledView post →Timo Tjahjanto's action masterpiece #TheShadowStrays is pretty rad, and while I'm admittedly biased, I think my interview with the movie's fight choreographer Muhammad Irfan is too. Give it a read right here! kungfukingdom.com/the-shadow-s...
